Succulent Meals

Touching exploration of loss, love, and the amazing healing power of food where cooking serves as the thread that binds the characters' stories together, creating this rich journey that really resonates. The plot unfolds with this perfect blend of heartwarming moments and raw vulnerability, letting the characters navigate through their grief while finding comfort and connection. I found it cruel and beautiful whenever they were celebrating a happy moment while the over narration was delivering a heartbreaking news at the same time. Devastating! While most of the drama was great but every now and then there was an awkward piece of dialogue or an awkward shot that was just out of place.

The true meaning

Such a wonderful story! Everyone should see this serie! It brings out what we should always be aware of. That life is short, family is a learning process and that love goes beyond any situation. It’s a pity that to be vulnerable and loving there has to be a sickness. We take for granted so much things in life that we forget of our true meaning. That’s why when a love one dies suddenly there is so much regret b/c we forget of our love too them. We let ourselves live the revolt and routine of our daily lives and forget the values of what life really is.

Love the cooking process, explained and so well done. Learned so much about Korean cuisine.

Most will say that’s sad. No it’s not! It’s a wonderful learning life process that all should see and change our normal habits. It’s not sad it’s accepting, respecting, understanding, growing, learning and most of all letting go. We will all go thru this process. They had the chance to enjoy the time left, most don’t.

Truly a beautiful drama

When I watch kdramas I want something amazing you know, something unrealistic but still fun aha I could name so many where the plots are not 'realistic but that doesn't bother me because I like that, its why I watch kdramas because of the unique plots. This drama is different from the 100+ I've watched , very different because it was realistic there was no miraculous 'happy' ending or a 'satisfying' one it was a drama about the struggles and moments someone whos terminally ill goes through, a true to life drama. It was heartbreaking but also heartwarming to see the tears, the sorrows and the smiles and the laughs the characters went through. There was no miraculous ending but there was a somewhat satisfying and happy ending not the way you see in other dramas but this one had its own type of happy ending, one where life goes on and slowly grief blurs and grows weaker and you find your steps again in life to carry on without the perosn you love. It was a good drama, i usually shy away from these type of dramas because i dont like sad dramas that i know will only leave me deeping life loool but this one was nice.

comforting in the most heartbreaking way

i had been thinking of watching this show since i first heard that kim seohyung was going to be in a new project and honestly she never fails to put on a performance no matter what she’s in.

if you enjoy watching the beauty of interaction and how individuals can mend their relationships, this is the perfect show for you. it’s heartbreaking but full of comfort, to me this show feels like a lukewarm pillow. normally a cold pillow is suited before you go to sleep, it soothes your mind but even if it is lukewarm - atleast it’s not a hot and uncomfortable one. this may not make sense now but you’ll understand whilst you watch this programme.

the acting in this is phenomenal and i expected nothing less, it’s focused on the main character’s relationship with his wife and how he becomes her trusty guardian. cooking by her side and always being there for her.

i don’t want this show to finish, i’ve just finished the 9th episodes and there’s only 12! i wouldn’t expect it to be longer however i’ve been enjoying the production & honestly just everything about it.

please give it a go! it’s definitely become one of my comfort shows already.
