In 1998, Phil Tchernegovski, a New Zealander, travelled from New Zealand in the southern hemisphere to Taiwan in the northern hemisphere with great anxiety to find his beloved son, who was missing. The pain of not being able to find his son is gradually smoothed out by the warmth and encouragement of the people in the foreign land of Taiwan. And most importantly, he was so moved by the kindness he received that after the Jiji earthquake (1999), he returned to Taiwan to help those who had helped him.
