Shino and Genpachi fight against each other. Eventually, the two learn they have the same goal since they both have the crystal balls from the prophecy and they sign a brother-in-law's oath. Shino and Genpachi, who are chased by the Ashikaga clan, hide away. They meet Kobungo Inuta during their escape who has a crystal ball as well. They learn one of Kobungo's younger brothers called Daihachi is a person with a crystal ball too. Shino, Genpachi, and Kobungo go into the middle of the enemy's camp in order to rescue Sosuke who is suffering from torture after being captured by the Ashikaga clan's evil lieutenant.
