am i the only one to dislike it ? ㅠㅠ
i started watching without any expectations, i didn't even knew the trope. and oh boy i was really weirded out by it. the two other guys are his animals from when he was younger ?? i just don't understand how people can enjoy it knowing this fact. the one that was his dog (i don't recall if he's Choco ou Milk i'm sorry) is just a character that is dumb, that's his only trait. and the cat boy (who is really pretty i must admit) is a little bit better built but that's not it. they argue to be with their owner but he works at a café so they join him and meet his colleague and friend. they sometimes help around but... it's not interesting. i managed to be bored in front of the episodes and they only lasted twenty minutes !so i don't understand how people can say it's the best bl of 2022. colors and taste you know...

This should not have worked but it did
What a weird premise that somehow came together into one of my favorite shows of the year. Had to ding it a bit on story because the mythology is spotty and kind of gets thrown out the window at the end for the sake of a happy ending, but honestly I didn’t care and neither will you. The cast is incredible, the characterization of Milk and Choco was perfection, and the show had some touching things to say about the nature of love and grief. Great music and visuals, as well.Highly recommended!

If your pet best friend came back from the dead
(╭☞•́⍛•̀)╭☞ Disclaimer:This review is based on my personal opinion/experience while watching, it's not meant to persuade you or change your opinion/thoughts on this series, you're free to agree/disagree with it.
Fine, I admit it, the thought of your dead pet coming back to life as a human is both the most amazing and terrifying thing you would ever experience, the absurdity of the situation is off the charts, but that aside, you cannot tell me that we didn't all wish for that to happen at some point. Sure, we wouldn't want our puppy to come back as a handsome beefy guy, but the idea of having your best friend back even if it's just for a couple of minutes is really intriguing and exiting. As someone who knows the pain of loosing your furry friend all too well, this was both heart warming and sad for me, romance and comedy aside, this show portrayed the feelings we experience when we loose someone or something precious impeccably well, the never ending spiral of what ifs and should'ves, feeling like this was our fault because we didn't notice the signs, even the small moments where we call out for them only to realise they wouldn't answer, all were shown very well. I don't necessarily believe in an afterlife, but the idea of my puppy running around happily and watching over me from somewhere in the sky sounds very nice to me, it makes it less hard on me when I miss him or when I see my pictures with him so I really appreciate that conversation between Jungwoo and Choco when he asked him to leave, that being said, the way they showed how Jungwoo was dealing with grief and their absence and the emptiness we feel coming back home and not finding our dog or cat running to great us at the door was just fabulous and I applaud whoever was behind this plot, even if the thought of romancing your dog weirds me the f out, I loved this nonsensical fluffy take on this heavier topic. The ChocoMilk dou's shenanigans were the best, I laughed my ass off at their back an forth and their chaotic energy when they're put together.
Acting wise, I fell in love with both the cast and characters, the casting was very good, too good actually, especially for that of Choco and Milk, I find myself forgetting that these are humans sometimes, they made me believe that they are a cat and a dog inhabiting human bodies and not actual reincarnated souls. At first, I was very iffy about the romance, and I had a hard time getting behind the ChocoJungwoo pairing, I had to completely disregard the fact that Choco is originally a dog for me to enjoy his moments with Jungwoo and their lovestory, for the uncle and Milk, not so much, maybe because they didn't have the pet owner relationship but yeah, they were a lot easier to digest and let their story into my brain when I told myself that these two are not pets anymore, even if their behaviour and mannerism said otherwise. The little side story with the ex was really nice, I was thrilled to see a relationship that ended on good terms for once, no obsessive horrible ex boyfriend, no toxic relationship, no cheating, it was the definition of right one wrong time, Jongwoo's ex is a wonderful breath of fresh air and I really enjoyed how they concluded that chapter of their story. My favourite character was definitely Milk, I was slightly bummed that we didn't see as much of his perspective but I really appreciated it in episode 10 so the show gets a pass for this one but yeah, Kim Seonghyeok did fantastic in this role and I really look forward to his future projects.
BGM wise, the music used was honestly some of my favourite from any series. It had that nostalgic melancholic vibe to it when needed and the upbeat fun tone when the mood shifted. The product placement was hilarious but not in a bad way, also, the food lowkey made me hungry, except for that sad sad popcorn in episode 8, it looked like it was dunked in water and thrown in a bowl and served.
All in all, this was an absolute delight to watch, it's very entertaining and funny all while handling a heavy topic quite well, was it perfect? No, but was it a really good watch? Hard yes. Watching this one episode at a time is impossible, once you start you won't be able to stop, it's one of the most bingeable miniseries ever, I highly recommend it especially if you don't know what to watch and want something short and sweet to pass time, and if you're like me and have gone through the loss of your pet whether a long while back or more recently, this series will put a smile on your face and it will hopefully make it a little easier to cope with their absence.
Enjoy your watch everyone.

The animal characteristics were on point!
I didn’t expect them to get the animals so well portrayed! Maybe even too well. Choco and Milk were extremely well thought through characters, and I think both actors did amazingly. They came across as a dog and a cat, the typical behaviors and all! Choco was sweet, always behind Jung Woo, very affectionate, happy just to be getting some attention. Milk had a typical black cat energy that I really enjoyed. The glares, not wanting to be touched most of the time, causing mischief, getting passive aggressive when jealous. The styling of the two was on point too! The mostly black looks for Milk and mostly white for Choco fit nicely with their past animal selves. When I say they might have portrayed the animals too well, I mean that it made it hard to see them as humans. Especially Choco, who I think was treated as a dog more than Milk was treated as a cat. That made it really hard for me to see him getting involved in a relationship with Jung Woo. It felt strange and it was not my favorite thing. It was easier to swallow the second couple, especially as the uncle isn’t familiar with the true story behind who Milk and Choco are. Plus, he wasn’t treating Milk as a cat. I liked their banter and how uncle liked pushing Milk’s buttons.
At times the episodes felt like sporadically shown parts of their lives with very little connections from one to the other. Not with all of them, but there have been a few where I had to check that I haven’t skipped any episodes with how different things were. Or how unrelated it all was. There was also quite some time spent on things that weren’t really relevant or didn’t really have to be included. As well as some plot holes.
I have mixed feelings about the ending. It’s what I kind of expected to happen, just maybe in a different version. But I would have preferred it if it had stayed the way it was at the end of episode 10. I found that a more fitting ending.
It was a cute watch, but that was also mostly it for me.

BL story with an original cute concept but not fleshed enough
I found the concept of the pets coming back to life as humans super interesting and cute. It was a chance to have a lot of fish-out-of-water moments and to have the characters act out all the stereotypical sides of their inner dog/cat. Unfortunately even if there was such scenes, it was not enough for me and I would have liked to see this aspect of the story more developed. Overall this interesting and fresh idea for the show's plot was not fleshed out enough. It required a lot of suspension of disbelief (which I was up for) but did not take enough advantage of the trope to make it totally fulfilling for the viewer.Despite the short episodes, the drama was kind of slow-paced and a bit missing in terms of feelings and passion because of the focus of the directing being more ambiance-based rather than scenario-driven. The atmosphere of the series was soothing but it still felt at some point a bit as a waste of potential for both the concept and the actors. Indeed, the acting was good overall (especially knowing that the main leads are rookies) and the dramatic scenes were well pulled off. It could have been better in terms of romantic chemistry but the friendship was very believable and sweet.
I would recommend this to people looking for a short story with a fresh concept giving off an healing vibe with very cute characters and who do not mind relatively slow-paced and platonic relationships.

They couldn't have come up with a plot that didn't involve falling in love with a dog...?
Definitely a cute, short little show with a unique concept. I think reincarnation plots can be very interesting but this one was a little...different. Normally I would advise just getting past any of the weirdness that this entails, but this one was hard to move on from.I would have rated this higher if it weren't for the fact that any time you remember those people used to be his pets. Any time you think of that, any kind of romance that was going on feels a bit odd. Best watched if you don't think about it too much!

Very Different Plot, But Very Good!
STRONGBERRY, you did it again! This is a really, cute, well acted Drama, right up there with Long Time No See. The dog and cat coming back into Jung Woo’s life is really creative. The actors cast to play the cat and dog are perfect. I am so looking forward to the last episodes, because I’m not really sure how this will end. I usually have some kind of idea, but with this I’m not sure. This definitely has some sad moments, romantic moments, along with happy and funny moments too. I will edit this with my final review after I watch the last episode. But so far, so good!Just watched episode 10, so good!! Looking forward to the last episode 11. I suggest anyone watching the Drama, go on You Tube, and watch the interview clips. One of the clips is about Choco and Milk’s journey back to earth, and how and why it all happened.
Finished the series, and I thought it had a great happy ending! I really wasn’t sure it would, until the last half of the last episode. This is what I like about Stongberry, their Dramas don’t leave you hanging or completely devastated. You feel good after watching them, and that is what this Drama did! A very enjoyable watch!

It Fills You With A Sense of Warmth
This is not an earthshattering BL series but there is just enough cuteness and warmth in it to make you feel good. Like a blanket on a cold winter's night. The story, despite the logical holes, is told well and the acting is surprisingly good. Look, I know it is a fantasy, but some logic has to be applied and a more realistic reaction to what is happening should be part of the story as well. Too much of that was glossed over. None of that, however, negates the entertainment of this series. Honestly, who would not want their childhood dog or cat pets come back looking like these guys? It is just a fun series to watch. Was this review helpful to you?
a unique and cute story
When I first started watching this series, I honestly didn't have very high expectations since the story sounded so unique that it could have gone terribly wrong. But it didn't. The way the story as well as the characters were portrayed was just right in my opinion. While there are questions that weren't really answered in the end, the series captures many important aspects to the characters despite being only a short web series.
The quality of the production was great and the actors did an even better job at portraying their characters!
Overall, this short series is an unique fantasy/romance that can be a bit flat at timesbut I would still recommend it to everyone who loves cute stories.

impactful but cute story about loss, love, and friendship
OK, I know what you think. "How can you watch a show with a guy who literally falls in love with his pet dog reincarnated into a human body??" And yeah I know how that sounds, but hear me out, I was also at times a little taken aback by that premise, but once you get over it this story is great, I promise! This story is about Jung Woo who has lost his parents and his pet dog and cat. But one day suddenly, his pets returm home in human bodies! But they can't stay forever... This show is so full of love and fluff that every time it becomes serious and about the many forms of loss and grief, you are actually shook and it hits so much harder. This show knows what it is and what it isn't, therefore it's not trying to be too dramatic, while still giving their emotional moments enough depth and room to be taken seriously, while still lightening up the mood with the funny bits. This story was really lovely and warmed my heart. Jung Woo, Choco, and Milk have my whole heart. As long as they are happy, I'm happy. And yes, sometimes it IS cringy because these actors are so good at playing pets in human bodies and therefore you are reminded that you are actually watching two pets who are suddenly thrown into adult bodies and have to do adult stuff, BUT once you get used to/over it, you can lay back and enjoy the show with all it's fun and sad moments.
You have to know that this show is low-budget so some stuff is more implied and told to you rather than shown in flashbacks. Sometimes they use drawings and little animations with is charming and a nice alternative.
The actors were all great. Specifically the actors of Milk and Choco who really encapsulated the cat and dog mannerisms. And the actor of Jung Woo who was able to portray his grief and his internal struggle.

Cat and Dog return to Owner- will there be true love?
A pretty outlandish premise that is simple but well executed. The acting coach and director have brought out some nice performances from the cast. The actors playing the Cat and the Dog are convincing in their behaviors and mannerisms. The question of what would happen if your pets came back as extremely attractive humans is entertainingly played out.
Will there be true love, brotherly affection or heartbreak?
Strongberry productions are seemingly always high quality. This is no exception.
I encourage you to watch the first four short episodes and you will almost certainly want to continue the journey to the last episode. The tenth episode felt like a fitting ending- so I hope the 11th (added?) episode won't veer off from what came before.

Started well but they lost it a bit
First I wanna talk about how the posters made it look like it would be one hell of a kinky show and it wasn't. There was a little furry to it, but they exagerated in the posters with those bdsm accessories lol and I was a little disappointed. But that was ok, the series started very good, so much fun and I was loving the story and the characters, the cat and the dog as humans was so cute and brought a real cat and dog essence. It was a comfort series. Then the episodes started to get really sad and it started to feel like I was about to lose them (and I was), and it felt just like The Miracle of Teddy Bear. You know, I was getting used to that ideia, they actually had to leave and we can't always have happy endings in life. And then they pulled a wild card based on NOTHING and they come back. They didn't even bother to explain why they are back or how. They are just back for a happy ending with no explanation. So yeah, they are great and the plot is something else, but they forced that ending real hard. Was this review helpful to you?
