I don't know who to trust in the palace aside from the King. The King's lover has been acting suspiciously since the first episode. I don't doubt his affection for the King, but it seems like he's a spy working for Kim Chiyang. A double agent, maybe? There's a scene that I love in this episode and it's the scene when Prince Daeryangwon surrendered his life to Buddha and sought Buddha's help. It was a humbling and divine experience for him. I have a mixed feeling for the King. I don't think he's a good King because he neglected his duties, and he even admitted and acknowledged it. But when he tried to save the civilians and the royal staff at the banquet from the fire, I saw a King who cared for his people's lives. I wouldn't call him the perfect filial son, but I admire him for always trying to defend and keep his mother's honour despite their indifferences. I can't imagine the disappointment and anger when he knows what his mother did to Prince Daeryangwon, the monks, and the people at the banquet.
