I know Prince Daeryangwon will ascend the throne but I didn't expect a coup to be the reason he took over his cousin's place. I wanted the King and the Prince to meet, but we will not see any of that because he has been assassinated. The King turned his back on the country and now his people turned their back on him. I couldn't stomach the scene at Kim Chiyang's house. His death isn't shocking, but when the coup assassinated his son, Hyun, it was gut-wrenching. Poor Hyun for getting in the middle of this without knowing anything. It will be difficult for Queen Dowager to forgive herself for being the reason for her children's deaths. The King never left her side and stayed with her to take care of her even when they were exiled from the palace, only for the King to leave the world for good. Taking a son's life in front of his mother's eyes is the cruelest thing you can do to a mother. Now she only has herself to mourn alone and live in sorrow.
