Caught in the crossfire between those gearing up for war and those working to prevent it, the puppet king, Wang Sun, and Kang Gam Chan form the front line of those seeking to avert conflict. On the opposing side, Kang Jo believes in the inevitability of war and sees it as a chance to eradicate the Khitans. The turning point comes when envoys from Khitan arrive with a message poised to alter the course of history. (Source: Kocowa)

The Palace Head Secretary is such a scary man. He is devoted to his country and nothing will stop him from defending Goryeo, but he's not as wise as he and his subordinates think he is. He looked down on the new King's lack of education and talked about how his incompetence will cost Goryeo in the long term, but look at what he did. He mindlessly started a coup that soon will cost the blood of innocent civilians. His pride made it seem like winning a war against Khitan will be a piece of cake. You can see the embarrassment on his face when he realised what he had done. So much for a person who wants Goryeo to prosper. I hope the ministers and advisors will hold their heads up and will not let the Palace Head Secretary step on them. They should work together with the King and do their best to stop Khitan from invading Goryeo.
