A documentary closely observing the daily life of Hakamada Iwao who was released forty-eight years after being tried as the murderer in the Hakamada case. In 1966, Hakamada Iwao was framed for murdering the family of the managing director of a miso company. Even after being sentenced to death, he continued to appeal his innocence, and finally in 2014 a decision to reopen the case was handed down.
