A documentary film adapted from a documentary TV series. It portrays over twenty-five years a couple living a self-sufficient life deep in the mountains of the Chugoku region and the family supporting them. The documentary takes place in Iwakuni City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. Having lost their home through damage from the war, Tanaka Toru and his wife Fusako began growing their own food and living a lifestyle deep in the mountains where there is no water or electricity.
