World of Villains (1950)

Unemployed youth Lee Keung resorts to petty crimes to make a living. One day, an opium dealer contracts him and his associates, A Kam and A Sing, to smuggle opium. They are discovered by the police, and a gun battle ensues. A Kam and A Sing are captured. Lee Keung, wounded, escapes with a large sum of money. As he hides out, he loses contact with his girlfriend, Lai Zhen. Lai Zhen's mother becomes ill. In order to raise funds for medical expenses, she becomes a prostitute. After recovering from his wounds, Lee Keung sets out to lead a decent life. He gets to know A Nam and also meets an old acquaintance, Mei Kam, who is a prostitute that used to love him.
