Sompla is a young tribesman who is very good at hunting with blow dart; he is in love with Lumhub, whose father wants her to marry Hanao, who is smart and good in trading with outsiders. During the annual tribal ceremony, Lumhub picks Sompla as her future mate, but Sompla knows the consequences, so he asks her to run away with him, but she is caught. Lumhub decides to run away with Sompla the night of her wedding ceremony, provoking a hot pursuit by Hanao and his men.
