Both dramas are very dark and twisted and artsy. Both dramas revolve around very complex characters, who have quite a dark side to them. Each one is full of twists and turns and is a very gripping thriller. Both can be associated to the arthouse genre.

*If you weren't reading the synopsis like I was when LHiMG started, you would need to use your brain to put together the context. The same goes for The Penthouse.
*Wealthy and poor main characters are included in both dramas.
*An unpleasant setting.

Two women who live in two opposite worlds: one in a rich happy family, and the other is poor and has a hard life. Both of their lives get inter-wined through a crime that is connected to a men both of them know. Both work with each other and against each other to accomplish their goal and discover what truly happened and the people that are involved with it. The more both dramas continue the more complex and messed up they become and in the end not a single person is who you first thought them to be.
Both dramas give off very similar vibes and are absolut gripping.

Both dramas have a dark, eery and sinister vibe to them and are from a similar artistic feeling. Both dramas revolve around characters that question if they are witnessing/involved in a murder case or not, and investigate that. Both end up doing questionable actions and doubt if people they live with are murderers or not. By doing so, they get pulled deeper and deeper into the case. Each drama is full of twists and turns and is a very gripping thriller.

both unravel the mystery surrounding the main character. the main characters are concerned with their own interests regardless of whether this is true or not. parents do everything they can to protect their child.

has an atmosphere similar to a garden or forest murder setting. full of gaslights which confuses what's really going on.

So Creepy!
The mc keeps getting this weird feeling that something is not right but nobody believes him/her. That eerie feeling mc keeps getting drives them insane!!!
