I feel these two dramas kind of have a similar vibe to them, even if the storylines are a bit different. They have strong female characters, and good character developments.
Both of them touch upon obstacles in life, and delicately handles some societal norms and issues.

Tho it might have some similarities in the plot, those 2 dramas have generally different messages..
But I'm recommending WMLB solely because the melancholic ost reminds me of TTOR's

Both are adapted from novels by Yi Shu.
Kai Dao Tu Mi (????) and The Tale of Rose (?????) explore women's lives and relationships, but they do so from slightly different angles. They share many of the themes that have made Yi Shu's novels enduringly popular. Rather than being romance novels in the conventional sense, both stories follow a woman over several years as she matures through love, disappointment, and self-discovery.

Portrait of a woman in 90s China, both are stories about personal development. In both stories FL has a husband who gets in the way of the FL’s ambitions and doesn’t “deserve” her and who gets to meet a soulmate, but in Xing Fu, unfortunately, FL does not divorce… sigh..

Both dramas portray FL as the main character that is career-oriented, girl-boss, smart, and quick-witted. "What If" might fell short, but you might like the storyline regardless.

It resembles it in the way it portrays human emotions with delicacy and realism. Both stories invite reflection on inner strength in the face of adversity. The difference is that Love’s Ambition seems to pursue a more passionate tone, where the emotional well-being of its characters becomes the true core—and therein lies its altruistic value.

The Tale of Rose is based on one woman who dates/marry different men through her life. Each man is drastically different from the last. All three of her men remind me of the husbands of each of the sisters in this show.

Both shows have similar pacing and the the youngest sister and the FL Rosie have the same stigma as being one of the beautiful girls around.

Yu Tong has a strong woman side that reminds me a lot of the lead of "TALE OF ROSE" more, the two dramas have in common the exploration of romantic relationships and its setbacks and a neat cinematography as well as the place of women in society/love.

Like Rose in the Tale of Rose, Kong Xiu has several suitors, and finds her future in realizing her dreams alone. But the hardships are different: Meigui was moved by sentiments, whereas Kong Xiu never got a chance to love and had to toil instead.
