Love for Two Lives (2022)

Enjoyable and funny mini-show with time travel theme

What a wonderful mini-show. This is one of these small hidden gems I’m sometimes lucky enough to stumble upon. The storyline of traveling between two worlds (or time travel) isn’t new but I don’t think I have ever seen one where the portal connects a living room in modern time and a bedroom in ancient time - allowing them to go through time/space any time they want.
Character wise we get this sweet FL that is a bit air headed but resourceful, a ML who is strong and clever, a not too smart princess and a general that is kind of a genius but also soft hearted. There are also a couple of interesting side characters.
Acting wise this might not reach the top but the actors all do a good job portraying their characters. Since it’s a comedy we always have to take into account that the characters are supposed to be a bit silly. Especially the general’s Kung Fu, is hilarious. I also loved the princess the King was originally supposed to marry - what a strong woman, LOL.
I enjoyed this mini-show a lot and since the ending is kind of open, I hope to see a season 2.
Anyway, if you like a sweet and romantic comedy - with a parallel world/time travel theme - this is well worth watching.

Cute comedy

I liked the show! It was a quick, fun, and cute comedy with 42 episodes, each only 5 minutes long. What's great about this show is that it is 100% comedy, and the looks of the FL don't even matter. Cute fits best. I also appreciate that it is full of comedy and not mixed with any political plot, unlike "Different Princess," which was a complete mess. I just expected funny, clumsy, and stupid jokes, with a touch of romance, and this show delivered perfectly.

I enjoyed the way the story played out with the back-and-forth between the two periods. It was a great way to keep me engaged and interested in the plot. And what made it even better was that I got to see the same couple have a happy ending! It was such a satisfying conclusion to the story. Overall, I was impressed with how the author was able to weave together these different elements so seamlessly.

Commediola isekai talmente sciocchina da essere godibile e divertente

Effettivamente non si può dire che si tratti di una serie con significati profondi, insegnamenti e quant'altro. E' tutto molto lineare e poco impegnativo, ai limiti dell'assurdo e oltre, ma condotto con una leggerezza che rallegra il cuore.
Non ci sono Big boss di grande spessore e alla fine non tutti i cattivi fanno la fine che dovrebbero meritare, anche se per almeno uno di essi siamo portati a provare un moto di simpatia. Però purtroppo occorre segnalare come, e accade troppo spesso, ad una persona sovrappeso sia assegnato un ruolo comico di persona volubile, infantile, di scarsa intelligenza, e che si abbuffa in maniera incivile. Body shaming all'opera. Quando poi vediamo certe attrici al limite - e forse oltre - dell'allerta medica per eccessiva magrezza, il paragone non potrebbe essere più stridente. Specie quando si parla di palazzi del potere, ci si domanda come certi scriccioli possano portare a termine le gravidanze che occorrono per produrre i tanto desiderati eredi. Non è questo il caso, comunque, qui ci si batte per il potere e basta. I figli verranno dopo.
Gli attori hanno fatto un buon lavoro, specie considerando che si tratta di un drama con episodi brevissimi, e quindi senza grandi mezzi, sia a livello di cast, che di costumi e ambientazioni. Ad ogni modo, pur trattandosi di una serie secondaria, è una produzione che si difende bene e, per certi versi, decisamente migliore di tante produzioni ben più importanti e osannate, ma che non sono riuscite a centrare l'obbiettivo. Qui il focus è una storia romantica e divertente, che riesce ad intrattenerci benissimo. Obbiettivo raggiunto.
Il finale non è così scontato come si potrebbe pensare, e forse è una delle parti più deboli di tutta la serie, perché lascia in sospeso un paio di problematiche non secondarie e, negli ultimi 5 secondi, crea un moto di fastidio verso la protagonista. Forse hanno voluto lasciare spazio per una seconda stagione che però, al momento, ancora non c'è. Ad ogni modo, lo show è concluso anche così, e concluso bene.
Trattandosi di un drama così breve, non impegnerà troppo del nostro tempo e, come intermezzo riposante, magari fra altre serie emotivamente più impegnative, sarà un'ottima boccata d'aria fresca.
