Intriguing Kick-Off

Started off with a blast. There are lots of familiar actors among the cast, and the premise is intriguing. I already have a dozen unanswered questions. I love the cinematography; the color palette is warm and old-school. The fashion and style are typical of the 80s, and the lighting has been done well. I love listening to LDH's Seoul accent alongside GMS's Gwangju accent. It's not going to be a light show. There are already violent flashbacks and evil politics. It centers around Korean youth's fight for democracy. Male Lead: Lee Do Hyun never disappoints. He's playing a very different role from his previous projects. His acting is, as always, on point and captivating. He is the son of a villain and always plays the cool kid, but there are small hints to his vulnerable side.Female Lead: I've never seen Go Min Si before in a drama, but she's also doing really well. She's a strong woman, unafraid to stand up to harassment. But she has a sweet smile and a quirky side we only saw a bit of. I like how they'r setting up the complexity of all the main characters. These are not going to be one-dimensional personalities. You can see they both have vulnerable sides that they keep buried deep inside. They both have family issues, it's going to be very interesting to see how things play out. Lee Sang Yi and Geum Sae Rok have also piqued my interest already. This cast has amazing chemistry. Can't wait to see how things play out!
