Upcoming Thai Dramas: 2023+ Edition Alan is an ordinary young man with memory trouble. His life changes when he begins seeing the ghost of a strange old man every time he looks in the mirror. Alan's dad thinks what he's seeing are hallucinations and sends him for treatment at a psychiatric hospital. There, Alan meets Darwin, and the two develop a bond. However, no matter what, Alan's doctor isn't able to rid him of his "hallucinations," which are increasing in variety and intensity. Alan begins to suspect what he's seeing aren't hallucinations; rather, he suspects he's being haunted. If so, it means there's something in the past—something Alan isn't remembering—linking him to this old man. Reviews
"Is it real or am I dreaming?" A series that should be watched exactly 2 times!
The less I write about it, the more it'll make sense, because if you try to figure out everything in the beginning, you can't understand how Alan feels. This is a unique story about a clueless guy being clueless for 8 damn episodes only for you to see how complicated life can be when you don't understand what's going on with you. That restlessness, impatiently waiting for the story to reveal, "what the hell is happening?" is part of the process and, trust me, it all made sense.
In my opinion, it could be better if it was two episodes shorter because by the time I finished watching it, I had already lost my braincells waiting for the revelation. Once you discover it, the agony and despair hits you like the cold damp air in the depressing dawn of monsoon. So you watch this drama two times; first time for the journey and second time for the realization of being aware of the destination. It will hit the same as it did the first time.
"So, how was that? Was it more like a dream or a reality?"
"This isn't a dream?"
"I told you earlier, but you didn't believe me."
But the truth spares no one.
Did I make any sense?
I feel like I'm becoming Alan now.
When Memories Become Home: A Story That Stays With You
Watching Mystique in the Mirror felt like stepping into a world I didn’t realize I needed — a world that held my heart from the very beginning and slowly, gently, broke it in the most beautiful way. From the first episode, I knew this series was going to take me somewhere emotional, somewhere unexpected, somewhere deep. The story pulls you in with its mystery, but what keeps you there is the way it makes you feel. Every moment carries a sense of longing, confusion, and quiet heartbreak as the truth slowly unfolds. The plot is rich with twists and layers, giving you puzzles to solve and emotions to untangle, all leading to a revelation that hits with full force.
The acting is truly exceptional — every expression, every silence, every glance feels real. The chemistry between the main leads, Alan and Win, is simply stunning. There’s a softness and sincerity in their connection that makes their love story unforgettable. You believe in their bond, in their history, in their forever.
By the time the last episode came, I felt everything at once — sorrow, understanding, grief, and gratitude. Watching Alan face the truth of his past, watching him hold onto the memories that made him happiest, and finally seeing him reunited with Win… it felt like a gentle ache in the heart that stays long after the screen goes dark.
Mystique in the Mirror isn’t just emotional — it’s deeply human. A story about love that refuses to fade, even when the mind does. I’m truly thankful that I watched it.
✨🩶🌙 A beautiful journey I’ll never forget.
