Mr. Ho, the "King of Gambling" and leader of the Hong Kong Mahjong industry in the 1950s, is a wealthy man with three wives, two sons, and one daughter. While appearing to live harmoniously, the wives secretly compete for the family's wealth, often settling disputes with martial arts showdowns. Tensions rise when Mr. Ho brings home his love child, Ah Fai, whom he adores, but his wives and sons reject.
