My Annoying Roommate
I don’t normally write reviews but because this was a short drama (only 12 episodes and about 30 minutes long), I was able to finish it in a day’s time. I’m not too familiar with cast although some looked familiar, the only actor I recognized at first was Xu Bin who recently starred in Stay With Me. His character is completely different but he was funny and not so serious in here. The story starts off with a boy who comes to the countryside to take a break from the entertainment industry. He attends school with FL and for some reason, ends up moving into her house with her uncle. Of course they don’t see eye to eye at first and she calls him a jinx, but they gradually get to know each other and he becomes friends with her friends. In flashbacks we see ML remembers FL from when they were children, although she doesn’t know until much later. There are some annoying parts like silly tantrums, but it doesn’t distract from the overall story. ML likes FL first and the jealousy is cute and not too cringe or toxic, but they don’t confirm their feelings until towards the end. Last episode had main leads apart from each other for most of the episode (a year to be precise), and they finally share a kiss. Of course they’re still both young so don’t expect fireworks, but it wasn’t dead fish kisses either. I say if you want something light that doesn’t make you feel like you have to pay close attention to, then binge watch this on the weekend or something then move on to the next drama.FYI— I have iQIYI VIP so I was able to watch all episodes. If you don’t have it, you can either wait and watch one or two episodes until you complete it or wait until they’re all out and binge watch it. I haven’t checked where else this is playing so if you can find another site, then 👍🏽

Just like the title, a little annoying.
My Annoying Roommate had potential. I love a high school / teen rom-com. I love small town dramas with a rag-tag cast of friends and uncles and aunties. The FL, Ji Mei Han, is adorable from Make My Heart Smile and her look is VERY popular these days. Everyone loves the big-eyes, baby doll face, so I would say she truly carried the show.With all that is said and done, with a 12 episode series at 30 mins each, it would seem in theory this show would be easy to watch, but I couldn’t really tell you what it was truly about. Was it a slice of life kind of drama? Not really. What really was the plot of the show?
If you like an enemies to lovers romance with childish troupes and high angst value, then you will like this rom-com. I found the leads VERY difficult to like and cheer on. As much as I love the actress, her character was beyond childish, she plays a 17 year old but truly acted like she was 10 or 12 maybe?
The ML, Zhang Jia Shuo has been playing support roles and I can see why. He still has a long way to go in regard towards the acting department. He plays VERY stiff and his dubbing needs work. Towards the end of the show he gets better as he gains more personality, but he needs to act better on camera. Even his TV presence was lack luster. I felt like the FL out shined him a lot (even with her annoying character).
I like the idea of the show, but everything was a mess to be honest. This rom-com felt very contrived and forced. It’s as if the script writer couldn’t really write good plot points, so the only plot point in the drama were fights between the leads. If one was upset (mostly the FL), she would throw a tantrum and cause a scene and fight. Then when the leads finally make-up, she would get upset again and rinse and repeat. Instead of focusing on good plot points to work on, the script writers focused on stupid little fights between the leads to create tension. It was very difficult and annoying to watch.
The romance didn’t feel organic at all, if anything, the leads felt like brothers and sisters fighting dumb things. Who wants to watch that?
I like that the show was short and the FL is a cute actress. Other than that, the show was just basically about two people fighting until the very end.

Lacking
The theme of this series is focused on finding one's self and growing as a person. While the story was somewhat able to carry on the theme of the drama, the casting, acting and the production fell really short.The casts had no chemistry. The acting was too cringey. While the story had it's purpose and meaning, it still felt flat. The production skimp so much on it's budget that the environment of the show was so bad it actually affects the overall enjoyment and story flow of the show.
This was an okay show. But definitely not something worth rewatching.
Please note that I'am not a hater. It's just that the sadly everything about this drama was lacking.

This reminds me of a relaxing slice of life anime, and I AM LIVING
Look, if you find the MFL super annoying, I get it. She's not for everyone, but she is very far away from being the worst FL character I've ever seen. In fact, Su Qiao is one of the most charming in terms of her character arc. She obviously plays the guide main lead because she clearly knows her small village like the back of her hand, and she won't let anything go astray in it, no matter what. Then you have the MML, Lin Zilu. Oh boy, was he a piece of work at first. Started out as a jilted pompous idol when he runs away to this small village to get away from his overbearing father and grows up to rediscovering his passions and loosening up a bit, no matter how much Su Qiao annoys him (although it's less annoying and more she's teaching him how to be a respectful gentlemen out in the country).This show doesn't exactly have an overarching plot, but I wasn't really looking for one when going into this. I was looking for some comedic adventures with a cozy group of characters in a quaint Chinese village, and that is exactly what I got. Seriously, the majority of these episodes are absolutely hilarious. The side characters completely steal the show, and I love them all. If you're not up to this cozy kind of thing, I understand. Maybe I might be rating this show too high, but this review is my truth, and I'm sticking to it.

Waiting for season 2
The acting story everything was very fabulous duration also less I finished this drama in half a day now I want to see the next season of this drama so kindly upload the next season of this drama I'm curiously waiting for next season . Hope this drama will get 9.5 ratings congratulations in advance heartily thanks .the actors and actresses acted superb I wish this type of dramas should be praised more done such a good job my support for you guys .
