This was like a gift in a time where bromance and BL was banned in China.

After watching almost all the bromance available in China, this was the next thing that kept me glued and entertained. It had the Shizun X Disciple elements, which I sometimes have a hate and love relationship with but this one did it well. It kind of reminds you of the Chinese novel SVSS which is a BL, it feels like a life adaptation of the novel. Anyways, based on acting the cast did a good job and the storyline was very addicted as it's in short episodes which is easy to watch (I binged watched it in two days) but the second season...it was good but I won't spoil it though, the ending felt kind of rushed out and confusing at the same time, though I highly recommend it.

Definitely Added to my BL Favorites

I LOVE IT!!! and would very much want to have another sequel! The 3 minutes episodes highlighted each scene in the story and made the watching time really quick, the actors portrayed their characters nicely and made quite an undeniable chemistry (also they're very good-looking). I would also like to commend the fight scenes which was very good and has the right amount of intensity to it, the visual effects and music was just fine, setting was also alright, wardrobe is okay, overall... for me, it's good.
Now, on the other side, the shortness of the episodes kind of deducted some points on the story, the small count of casts are also noticeable, scene change isn't that smooth, shot framing are sometimes not appropriate and few more others. It's all fine for me though... I'll surely rewatch this over and over again.

Awesome ??

Love first season and same for second season but the ending…I’m not happy about at all ..there needs to be another season..you can’t just end it like that after all that this is what we get.

Outside of the end it’s a great watch.. 9.5 in my book episode super sort but still you get the point .. a few scenes could have been made just a bit longer but overall it’s still pretty good , acting scenery. Fight scenes and special effects definitely on point handsome guys with a very BL undertone. I will def say watch first season to follow the entire story

Great characters, familiar plot, confusing execution.

Don't you just hate it when your ex comes back from the dead to steal the pet you lovingly raised together after catching a glimpse of you with your new side piece?

This whole season hinges on a pretty confusing and significant misunderstanding.

The finale of season 1 showed Yu Ling Feng actively trying to save Chu Ye from falling to his death and ultimately failing as Chu Ye pries his hand away. This season begins with Wu Ye swearing revenge on Yu Ling Feng for abandoning him and living in peace for 10 years, which leaves anyone paying close attention feeling like they've missed a significant part of the story.

The intended arc of the season is pretty standard for the genre it's having fun with and I do appreciate the tongue-in-cheek jokes about their production budget along the way, but the fact that it doesn't make sense for Wu Ye to jump to that conclusion after what he witnessed begs the audience to suspend their disbelief and enjoy the ride until episode 32 delivers a half-baked answer. Look, I love a good "betrayal" plot thread as much as the next person who lives and breathes angst, but this plot device could have been executed much better. I mean, maybe it would have worked if Yu Ling Feng HADN'T risked his life to try to save him or if we'd been allowed to see more of Wu Ye's inner turmoil as he came to this conclusion.

But at the end of the day, it's an easy story to turn your brain off for and the characters are so endearing I'm willing to give it a pass simply by nature of being entertaining. Just... maybe brace yourself for the finale because the plot decides to throw comedy to the wind and make a lunge for the audience's hearts (and maybe our brains as well).
