Amazing.

I loved loved loved this show. First of all, the story/plot catches your attention right away, leaving you excited to keep watching. The friendship between Ji Won, Hui Yeon, and Joo Ran was one of my favorite things about the show; it was so sweet. Of course, there was good romance in it. The whole getting revenge and her having to figure out how to get Soo Min to marry Min Hwan was so captivating. Safe to say, I think this show is incredible and will recommend it to anyone.

For this drama, I have a lot to say about the cast/acting: Park Min Young is gonna do it for me every time! I love her. Also, Choi Gyu Ri really stole each scene she was in! She was so lovable, and my attention was drawn to her every time. The fact that I hated Min Hwan and Soo Min so much goes to show how well these actors can act. All the actors in this drama did a great job! I'm very impressed.

Was going great until...

Just to warn you, I'm a big fan of keeping a screenplay as close to possible as the original novel/webtoon. This drama was going great until they introduced a fiancée for ML who NEVER EXISTED in the webtoon. I could tolerate the other changes - ML committed suicide in the webtoon. He didn't die in a car accident. FL didn't know about ML being reborn until much later in the webtoon. That was a nice twist that was surprising to even the reader. Grandpa was not your typical chaebol patriarch who made arranged business marriages. He was a cool dude - he even had a ponytail. I seriously don't know why these screenwriters have to follow the 'old' Asian template of business marriages & fiancées showing up and ruining ML/FL's romance. Not only did ML have to play the noble idiot (my 2nd most hated drama device) but now there's a fiancée that never existed in the webtoon (my most hated drama device). That's when I had enough and stopped watching, picking it back up at the end. I literally had a short-lived temper tantrum because once again, a screenwriter ruined a perfectly good drama. It's bad enough that Netflix did a hatchet job on my favorite all time webtoon, A Business Proposal; now the screenwriter had to add the MOST ANNOYING drama device out there to Marry My Husband - a fiancée for ML.

To top it off, I honestly don't think the director understood the characters in this drama at all. Both Ms. Yang and ML moped around the entire time - they were perpetual rainclouds. I didn't get that in the webtoon from Ms. Yang at all and ML was reserved but not depressed. He blushed a lot in the toon. Grandpa was not your typical meddling rich chaebol - honestly, ML's entire family was wonderful. I think the only ones who nailed their character was ML's sister (my favorite character in the toon besides the leads), possibly FL & Sumin (although she wasn't as fluffy and feminine as she was in the webtoon). As for the husband, the actor playing him is just too likeable for me to hate him. He came across as just a lazy dope who thought with his man part rather than the despicable character he was in the toon.

When the screenwriter changed the plot elements, he/she introduced some questions like - FL knows ML was reborn so why doesn't she ask him how he died and get to the bottom as to why he's so depressed all the time? And why is ML depressed? If FL can change her fate, why can't he? Besides, if FL doesn't die, then he won't be in the 'death car' coming back from her funeral. His depression and gloom doesn't make sense. Why doesn't he try to change his fate like FL????

Despite these changes, the drama was good (and amusing at times - Panties Park) until ML's so-called fiancée showed up. It wasn't necessary and was a completely made up element. I would rather the episodes get cut down to 14 if they didn't have enough material rather than add this old, annoying, worn out drama device. K-Dramas have evolved beyond the arranged marriage trope, screenwriter!

0 chemistry, badly written

The music is very bad in this drama. I feel like it did not add anything to the story at all.
Acting was lacking from all of the characters. They were written in a way that i was unable to connect with any of them.
The female bad one was mean for no reason, even a beginner writer could have written a better plot line for the villain . The other fiance like she just started doing evil things without reason , so unrealistic everything how is written. It was very hard to finish this drama. Super disappointing and boring all the way.
The couple had absolutely 0 chemistry. They were dry and boring even on the kisses scene and marriage. None of the “couples” had any chemistry. A waste of time this drama. I am use to masterpieces and this is not one of them

End was fabulous and satisfying

At its core, Marry My Husband is a tale of resilience and the power of love to transcend even death. The protagonist's determination to fulfill her late husband's final wish is both heartrending and inspiring, setting the stage for a narrative that is as poignant as it is hopeful.

I really loved this drama

I really loved this drama.

The romance is on point, it doesn't go super fast but it doesn't go super slow either.

It has comedy, tragedy, drama, suspense and a fantasy factor that turned out wonderfully.

I really like everyone's acting, I like the tension of always thinking about how things will change in the present, the acting is at the perfect level of seriousness.

It has those gasp moments that make your heart flutter

I liked the ending, you feel relief with the decisions that led to that outcome.

A Fav Couple of ‘24! <3

I was super excited about this drama as the FL is one of my favorite Korean actresses and man, she totally slayed this role! I was impressed by the whole cast - they all did a great job bringing their characters to life. The good guys were so deserving of happiness & the somewhat grey characters had me rooting for them in the end. And the villains were absolutely horrendous & disturbed individuals who made me truly despise them so kudos to the actors for really nailing their roles!

I’m so glad this drama didn’t end up being a whopping disappointment. It exceeded my expectations & I wish I could watch it for the first time all over again! I was captivated from the first scene & it kept me invested the whole way through. Here I am writing this review a year later & I still can’t get over this amazing story. 💖

I thought the storyline & pacing flowed naturally. I was never lost on whether the scene was from the previous life or the current timeline, which sometimes happens with dramas involving “time travel” aspects. The flashback scenes all added to the story as well rather than detracting from the flow of things, which again happens at times. I often dislike stories that have multiple timelines because I feel like we spend way too much time in the past when we should be focused on the characters in the present day more, but that wasn’t the case with “Marry My Husband”. The past scenes helped bring context & clarity to the choices the Leads were making in the present, as well as provided a beautiful contrast to the bleakness of their previous lives & the inner strength they’re finding now as they take control of their destinies. So empowering to witness!

I mentioned how the villains (the FL’s husband & “bestie”) made it easy to hate them, but guys - that doesn’t adequately express just how very easy they made it. 😡 Whyyy were they so messed up?! They were so selfish & conniving, it was disgusting. As more of the bestie’s motives & truly dark obsession with the FL got exposed, the more I wanted to see her world crumble. I legit cheered each time the FL got the best of her. And then watching the Leads manipulate the husband as he became more & more twisted was equally satisfying. Watching them change fate where these two were concerned was so cathartic & healing for my soul - if they’d gotten a slight slap on the wrist or had a forgiveness scene I would’ve been so ticked at the writers, haha! And the same with the narcissistic love rival psycho from the ML’s life. Sorry, not sorry, Lady! All I can say about her ending is, “better you than him!” 😉 IYKYK.

And now I gotta briefly mention the awesome new bestie the FL makes. This girl is absolute aces. She’s one of those girls who will always fix another girl’s crown, ya know? She’s such a breath of fresh air for our FL, a true friend. She’s genuine, upbeat, quirky, & kind. She never does anything to belittle or demean the FL, but only compliments & encourages her. She heals a long-held hurt in the FL’s heart. Her presence helps give the FL the boldness & courage to stand up for herself with the toxic old bestie which is so great to witness. And, as an aside, the female co-worker who also becomes a friend is wonderful too. I loved what she brought to the story. The bonus of them both getting happy love-endings is great!

Okay, now to the Leads. I think by this point you’re aware that I adore this duo. They’re both such beautiful & pure souls, I’m never going to move on from them. Honestly, they’ll forever hold a place in my heart. They’re both such massive green flags for one another, but also for their family & friends. While they’re living their new “present” in different ways - FL resolved in changing herself for the better while the ML is focused solely on her - they obviously share the same goal: saving the FL from her previous fate. I love everything about the ways this all goes down!

The ML has been enchanted with the FL since a chance meeting in college. She disappeared before contact info was exchanged, but their encounter left a lasting impression on him. He’s a serious, introverted, & somewhat shy man, though, so when we finds her on campus later, he chooses not to make his presence known & just watches over her from afar (the cat, you guys. The cat! *swoon*) When their paths cross years later after they wind up at the same company (which is his family’s, but nobody knows that), he’s saddened to learn that she has a boyfriend. And as he mourns her loss at her funeral, you can see all his regrets weighing heavily on him. So it’s incredibly satisfying to see all the ways he steps in to protect her in this new timeline. Every single thing he does is with her best interests at heart. He’s an absolute goner for her & he’s determined she gets a happy ending this time. Watching his growth & transformation as he gets to interact with her more is such a pleasure to see - not just in his outward appearance, but in his self-confidence & character as well. The things he didn’t stand up for himself for with his grandfather before, he now stands firm in for her. *swoon* I want more ML’s to be written like him!!

The FL is absolute gold. We meet her as she’s nearing her end due to a sick body, which is heartbreaking to witness because we know the people she believes to love her are actually massively betraying her & are ultimately responsible for her death. (That scene..*sob*) This was a great way to start the story because it immediately grabs at the heart & gets the viewers invested in seeing this broken woman change her destiny. Everybody loves the underdog for a reason! And this woman is so deserving of love. She hasn’t had an easy life, unknowingly making it worse by her choice in friends. Her bestie has made her isolated & dependent on her, leading to very low self-esteem & a severely skewed image of herself. So when she gets a second chance & uses it to remove the toxicity from her life, it gives definite “I am woman, hear me roar” vibes, which I am so there for! And while she doesn’t remember meeting the ML back in college due to being drunk at the time, she’s very much drawn to him in the present. His kindness is such a contrast to what she’s experienced with her husband. He personifies that saying about how “he was healing something he hadn’t broken in the first place”.

From their first interaction in the new timeline, their chemistry is enticing. His protection of her, their eye contact & body language.. it all lets us know that their love story is going to be fantastic. And it so is! I loved every single interaction they had. Watching them become friends as they’re both influenced by one another & how their bond quickly develops & grows is so sweet. And once they realize they were both sent back in time & team up to change the FL’s destiny, their connection becomes that much more precious. Him teaching her self-defense? Seriously, she’s so freakin’ cute! The emotional scene in the water when he tells her he wants to be land (iykyk)? Gahhhh - SWOON!! When he covers her eyes to shield her from the toxic duo’s betrayal? Love it! When she confesses that while she was ice skating with her friend all she could think of was him? *sigh* precious! The sneaky touches at work? The long hugs, dates, & couch snuggles? The melt-your-screen & make-you-tingle kisses? LOOOOOOVE IT! 🔥🫠 And then we get to the grittier scenes & I’m just as enthralled with those… him taking the fatal vehicular hit instead of her? Such love! Her care while he recuperates? Such love! Every time they stand together against someone who opposes them? Such love! Then there’s the beautiful ending… The proposal, wedding, & HEA scenes? Such pure love! They make such a great pair & I’m totally envious of their bond. Honest-to-God, true couple goals.

I could rave about them forever (as evidenced by the length of this review - sorry!), but you shouldn’t just take my word for it. Push play & experience the beauty of this story for yourself. 💜

Marry my husband aka the perfect revenge Drama.

This drama is the definition of a perfect drama. Everything from the beginning to the casting to the plotline, characters and even the minor changes from the original webtoon didn't ruin the drama. It was so good! My god I had a blast with this drama. The ending? perfect! This drama is the drama of the year! it's the ending which most k-dramas lack and Marry my husband did it all. it has the most strong, kind and the most evil that knew no bounds character. kudos to the producers and directors who killed it. I can't express how satisfied and happy I am with Marry My Huband. To see Park Min-Young finally in a good script and exceptional drama. k-neztines tried to cancel the drama because of Na-In woo not being handsome? go cry about it! Seeing a new face was so refreshing and he isn't handsome or yall just judgemental? People like these truly can't be happy. As for the Oh-Yura plot. Many said it was unnecessary and kept complaining about it not understanding that any drama based on webtoon is never the same and this plotline was a major twist and much needed one, so please understand the story before you even start whining about it. Some said it's slow! They are many fast-paced ones go watch that. There is a reason it's slow because its meant to be like that. I LOVED IT!

Married to a Jerk

This story doesn't start off any crueler, the female lead is surrounded by pathological narcissists whose lack of empathy and self serving nature leaves you sick to your stomach. She's meek, trusting, and tries to persevere despite circumstances placed on her by her husband who is cheating on her with her best friend. Of course to add more fuel to the fire of sadness and tragedy, she has cancer with a poor prognosis. With circumstances related to her continued medical treatment that leads her to find out her best friend's betrayal; it is a catalyst for her reincarnation for a do-over and revenge.

I appreciate its storyline so far and its portrayal of narcissism at its cruelest coupled with the manipulative gaslighting of a spouse and best friend who executes their extreme cruelty on the person closest to them. Unfortunately, reality sometimes isn't too far from fiction. More light needs to be shone on pathological narcissistic partners, friends, family, and coworkers and their mask needs to be revealed.

I hope this drama will continue to give hope to anyone out there that has been abused, belittled, gaslighted, and told they were worthless. The tables can be turned and one can move on before they swiftly give their abusers a kick in the rear end.

On the edge of my seat

I have not read the webtoon but I’m absolutely loving the drama! As someone who has seen their fair share of kdramas I can pretty much see how the story is structured and will end but I am still on the edge of my seat.
I have laughed so much already and I just love our leading lady and her being a girl boss!
You should most definitely watch this drama like right now and join in on the fun!
I really like how the MC has a backbone and newly found confidence.
Anyways you should watch it because it’s funny and well funny!
