Katrina and her father Leon leave the city to visit her late grandmother Gare’s wake. Upon arrival, Katrina feels aloof and develops a connection with Infanta’s landscape more than her distant relatives. Night falls, and the rest of the household goes to sleep. In the middle of the night, Katrina wakes up in a daze and heads out to where Gare’s casket lies. There, she sees a dark entity crawl out of the property. The next day, the whole town is abashed at finding Gare’s casket empty. This prompts an all-out search for the missing body with the police, headed by Leon.
