This two hour movie took me four hours to watch because I had to talk to a wall about it

Definitely shouldn't watch it just because you've seen some interesting edits and like Jeff Satur because I did. Not because it's bad, but it was really heavy.

Scenes and places they filmed in was so aesthetically pleasing. Cast was so good, story overall is so good. Especially the symbolizm they used, I don't think I catched all of them but one with the fleas investing Thongkham's house as a metaphor for mo and the mother taking over his house he got from working from NEGATIVES. This man really worked his ass off just for ending up like that. Also how Thongkham was going to lose everyting he had with Sek was told by how Mo took off Sek's ring to give it to mother.

*major spoilers*
---
I really loved the main character Thongkham almost to the end, until the r*pe attempt scene. I do understand the motive behind it but it was still so uneccesary, it made me really disgusted. He shouldn't have even think about it as a solution. Still I am greatful they didn't sugarcoat it. Jingna was an amazing character too his death was really sad. I was really pissed at Mo from start but after a while we see she had her reasons. Especially with how women are treated in general. She had a hard life too.

I love angst stories but sometimes I wish for queer people to have a normal life so I will stick to BL series for a while now until I feel brave enough to watch another Naruebet Kuno movie.

“A Heart Torn and Lifted: The Paradise of Thrones”

I don’t think I’ll ever forget The Paradise of Thrones. Watching it felt like being pulled into a storm where every moment carried a new shade of emotion—joy, longing, heartbreak, grief, regret, love. I went in because I was already watching Keng’s new drama Kemjira and his performance as Master Phran left me in awe. I thought… why not see his debut, his very first movie with Jeff Satur? But I never expected this. I never expected a single film to tear me apart and yet make me feel so alive inside.

— Jingna (Keng)… my heart aches just writing his name. The purity of his soul, the way he never wanted anything for himself, and how he said “I didn’t know what to ask, so I asked for your wish to be true”—it destroyed me. That was his entire essence. Selfless, giving, quietly surviving, living only for others’ happiness. His longing eyes, the uncertainty, the quiet strength hidden under fragility—it was all there in Keng’s performance. And in the end, that look in his eyes when the knife slashed across his throat… that panic, that desperation, that unfinished wish—I can’t get it out of my mind. He never asked for anything, and yet he was taken so brutally. Keng carried that role with such raw humanity it hurts to think about it. All I can do is pray—pray that Keng will always be happy, healthy, and surrounded by love forever. He deserves nothing less.

— Thong (Jeff)… his journey was one of aching doubt. All throughout, he believed Sek’s love belonged to Engfa. That quiet pain of loving someone he thought didn’t love him back—it seeped through every expression, every hesitation. And then at the end, when Engfa confessed “he never loved me, he loved you”—I broke down. Imagine carrying that uncertainty for so long, only to discover too late that love had always been yours. That moment was both cruel and healing—it was like being given water after dying of thirst, but only when you no longer have the strength to drink.

— Sek and his mother… goodness, the tragedy of their bond. The scene with the wedding ring—how it was taken from his finger after death, given back to his mother, when in truth it belonged to him and Thong—was one of the most painful moments of the film. And Sek’s mother’s arc with Mo (Engfa) was just as heartbreaking—her cruelty, Mo’s desperate longing for belonging, and then the tragic irony when she finally signed the deed and called for her daughter, but her voice couldn’t reach anymore. Her whispers of "Mo, help me” while Engfa sat on the bed still linger like an echo.

Every character embodied a different shade of love, loss, survival, and tragedy. Sek—the love that couldn’t stay. Thong—the doubt that was never meant to be. Engfa—the longing that turned into desperation. Sek’s mother—the cruelty that turned to regret too late. And Jingna—the selfless soul who asked for nothing and lost everything.

This movie is not just a film. It’s a scar, a prayer, a truth about humanity. It crushed me, it shook me, it made me cry until my chest hurt—and yet I am grateful I watched it. Because it showed me the rawest sides of love and loss.

Keng, Jeff, every cast member—you gave us something unforgettable. But Keng as Jingna… he gave a performance that will stay etched in me forever. I pray with all my heart that he will always be happy and healthy, always loved, always shining. Because he gave us a piece of his soul—and it changed me.

“May Keng and every cast member always be blessed with happiness, health, and love—for they gave us a story that will never leave our hearts.”

Very Intense

This one will stay with me a while. The acting was excellent, in fact everything about it was excellent. After you watch this, it will leave you depressed and frustrated at how unfair life was for the ML, and it doesn’t get better. I cried at the end, and wanted the FL to get payback for every underhanded, selfish, mean thing she did to pretty much everyone she came in contact with. Like others have mentioned, I did not like the end. If it had a good ending, it would have been a 10 for me. I will not watch this again, it was too frustrating and sad. But, it is one of the best I’ve seen. No other way to describe how I feel, it was so frustrating, it was hard to watch, but I couldn’t take my eyes off of it.

Spectacular Performances That Hit You Straight in the Heart

I truly need to thank the casting director and GDH for trusting these rookie actors — Engfa, Jeff, and Keng — with such heavy roles. Their acting is spectacular, and I was genuinely impressed by how fully they embodied their characters.

The movie hits hard with its portrayal of how greed can destroy people, regardless of age. It’s heartbreaking to watch a family fall apart over inheritance and wills, but it’s also painfully real. The film captures this reality and its consequences so well, and I honestly think it’s a fantastic representation of what happens in so many families.

gut-wrenchingly beautiful

i’ll keep this short and simple: the acting is phenomenal, the story is beautifully twisted and the cinematography is TOP notch. Jeff is brilliant, as always. Keng Harit fed right off of Jeff’s acting gracefully and engfa killed it in her role.

I seriously can’t praise the cinematography enough. I think i’ve rewatched this movie three times now.

Trauma over peace!

I have chosen trauma over peace. A beautiful cinematic movie it is. Music and each moment of this movie is so beautiful and hurtful also.
I saw many spoilers and I was aware it will hurt me but still chose to watch it.

I rewatch value is one beacause I can't re watch it. I already re watch in my mind again and again and the ending of this movie printed on my mind I just can't remove it. This must so many real life story due lack of recognition of same sex marriage. It hurt so much

The acting by each actor played very well that you feel it! I just wanna appreciate all the team members of the movie including the makers and staff.

Wow! Loved it!

Tis movie was amazing! I loved it so much.
It's about a man who wants to do everything to keep the memory of his loved one close and a woman who is willing to do everything for wealth, even if that means killing people... A great story!

The visuals and music are great, so is the acting.
The chemistry and dynamics between Jeff and Keng were very good.

A must see! I will definatly watch this again.

Holy shit.

A story about Thongkam and Mo, two desperate and selfish individuals struggling with loss and want. The sudden death of Thongkam's husband brings the end for some and the beginning for others. Grief and intimacy are nicely explored, as well as the differences between the working-class and those in extreme poverty. Impressed with all of the main cast's acting and transformations through the movie. Also, the OST really does make you nervous many times. Solid suspense.

Conflict piles up endlessly, yet the film resolves itself with a halfway-point solution too late.

The actors we're great. The pace was too slow, I just want to speed it up for it end. I don't like the main protagonist's character very much, I don't know if it is a good thing because the actor really showed me the character's flaws, or the character is just badly written, because I thought a lot of things that the character could have done and things he doesn't need to do. Why would he want to marry someone he only met for a few months, isn't he still grieving? I didn't feel Jingna's character (again, badly written) so I don't know where is Thongkham coming from that he wants to leave and live with him. I also don't think the attempted sexual abuse is necessary, you're just trying to kill her, then you want to have a sexual intercourse with her? In what psychological aspect would that be accepted? The ending was over the top, like literally too much problems with little resolution.

GREED GREED GREED

This movie was so realistic. people are so greedy for land and money. I saw everyone greedy. Mom was so selfish taking advantage of Mo and Thongkam both at her conditions. She didn't respect Mo's care even a bit until it was too late. She never tried to resolve the conflict between Mo and Thongkam. As an elder person she should try distribute the land and house between Thongkam and Mo as Mo also deserves something. Mo had greed in her mind and agreed with sek's plan and when that didnt work out she tried to kill him and later she kinda left the mom to die. Sek was such an asshole he approached Thongkam for his money and planned to trick him. He fell in love with him and even married him, and still wasnt honest with Thongkam and didnt tell him about Mo. Also, he didnt register land in name of Thongkam also in the first place.
Thongkam was no saint either, he said earlier that he wanted orchards because it reminds him of how much Sek loved him and it was thier symbol of love but later when he found out that Sek betrayed him he didnt leave and plan to take a revenge on Sek's family and wanted them to respect their marriage which Mo and Saeng didnt but at last when Mo accepted then he left. Thongkam not only got betrayed by Sek in terms of love but also land as he didnt register under his name.

MAMPUS LU!

Puas banget liat endingnya.

Ini kan yang lu mau, Mo?? Punya rumah dan perkebunan duren segitu leganya hasil ngrebut dari laki bajingan lu itu? Terus abis itu apa?? Konsekuensinya lu sendirian njirrr. Bisa lu ngurus tu kebun sgtu luasnya sndirian?? Mana adik lu juga mati gegara suami pilihan lu. Lagian lu ngapa pake kawin segala sih?? Udah bener jadi independent woman aja.

Cuma dianggap partner anjir... Nyesek banget taik.

Terus Jingna... Gurl, I really want to meet you again in the other chance (with Kam). You don't deserve to die istg. In the other live, gue pengennya lu ketemu duluan sama Kham biar dia terbebas dari lelaki bajingan itu.

Tapi keknya we're all agree that Jeff Saturn is the cuntiest durian farmer ever
