Absolutely Love
Let me start off by saying that I do not like time travel dramas. They typically confuse me, and my "too realistic" brain can't often process how these things work.Somehow, the time travel of Lovely Runner just works. The storyline is cute, heartwarming, and just overall enjoyable to watch. You'll go through a roller coaster of emotions, but none of it will be regrettable. The cast all did a superb job of capturing the essence of their characters, and the amazing reception that this drama received is full evidence of that. There were many "conspiracy" theories about various elements of the plot on Reddit, but honestly, a completely enjoyable read without needing to get into all that. A definite must watch!

People, I don't get it... Why so much hate?!
Guys, I’ve watched a lot of dramas and I don’t write reviews very often, BUT THIS MASTERPIECE RIGHT HERE!!!I had to write something about it!
This is pure, amazing, funny, romantic, chaotic, stressful, and many other things, BUT NEVER boring.
The word boring doesn’t even exist, istg.
All the episodes were so fulfilling that every time I thought I was watching the first episode of a new drama.
Even at the end of every episode, there was this cliffhanger that drove me crazy because I just needed to start the next one immediately.
The casting is one of the best things about this drama: the chemistry between Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon is (and trust me when I say it) HEAVENLY. They just know what to do and how to do it. Two super talented actors who deserve all the praise because they really created something incredible together.
As for the story... Watch it, bc istg you’re missing out on something so well-written and beautifully directed.
The screenwriting by Lee Shi Eun (if you’ve seen True Beauty, you’ll know) is truly amazing; she knows how to engage the audience and what to give them because she cooked, ate, and left NO CRUMBS!
I’m not going to spoil a thing because you guys should really experience it for yourselves and never miss even a second of it.

A heart-warming yet heart-wrenching series
I waited for this one to end airing so that I could make myself a marathon and it was so good!Let me tell you, I really love my fluffy romances and looking at the poster I never thought how many tears I'd shed because of the story. I had some moments where I could relate from my personal life too, even conversations that I've had, and that hit home too hard at times тт.тт
ML and FL had a good chemistry and personally I think they re-enacted the characters exactly how they were supposed to be. Side characters were also interesting and fun to watch! From acting stand point, I think it is very decent. I first watched Byeong Woo Seok in Record or Youth and I'm glad to see how much he improved ~
Тime travel is not a new concept, however they made it so interesting here and the story felt quite refreshing as well. The series were shot so well and aesthetic, such an eye-pleaser! The music too, one of the best OSTs of the year for sure ~
I definitely recommend to people searching for youth, first love, wanting to fix regrets from the past, and a little suspence but also happy ending for their next watch.

Yes, it is overhyped...
Let's start with the worst: The StoryOnce you truly reflect about this drama, then you will be aware, that the story is lacking. Neither time travel nor the motive of the villain is truly explained. For the villain, they just could have added one scene as an explanation. And the whole time travelling left us with thousands of questions. We don't even know how this whole world works, where the story is happening. But also Sol as a 30+ years old travelling back to a highschoolers body, didn't behave the way one would....
But aside from the story, everything else is perfect (or at least for me). All the actors did a wonderful job, making "boring" characters lovable and charming! Especially FL & ML portrayed the emotions so well, one could feel all the pain and heartache! Their chemistry was great!
The music was phenomenous! While "Sonaki" is a very beautiful love letter, "Spring Snow" sums up the whole drama wonderfully. "Like a dream" is also one of my favourites!
Would I rewatch it? Absolutely! It is sooooooo hilarious! And the romance is very good, got me grinning and kicking like Minmin!
So, why is it overhyped? For a romcom, it's a great series! Fun, lovable and rewatchable with great acting and music. However, for a series, it is lacking (as previously mentioned). So, the more you look into reasoms and try to analyse it, the more you will realize how imperfect this series is. Imo it was a great choice to neglect the background of the whole time travalling, instead of coming up with a not good enough explanation, that would have ruined the whole vibe.

Wonderful and believable chemistry that carried it
I’m not super picky with my dramas. I generally like tropes and enjoy a huge variety of styles. For me, the two leads’ chemistry is what kept me watching. I loved how comfortable they seemed to be with each other and nothing felt forced. That part was endearing to watch (even during the happy couple moments I found myself smiling when typically I feel those lovey-dovey times in dramas can get over the top and annoying).
Overall the serial killer trope ruined a lot of it for me. I feel they could have had a wonderful story without that aspect entirely and I found myself rolling my eyes any time he was involved. As a result there were several large plot holes left that would have benefit from having more focus.
I don’t regret watching it. It was cute for what it is and I really appreciated the wonderful chemistry as well as the starring of some of my favorite secondary actors, but it lost a lot of points relying too heavily on tropes to propel what otherwise would have been a wonderful plot if given a bit more thought

Worth the watch, I guess
So as much as this show made me want to pull out all the hair on my head, I have difficulties being harsh about it. For starter, the positives ; The ost of this show is simply incredible, most of the song by the fictional band Eclipse are on my daily rotation now lol. Also, the ml and fl acting is really believable and they have a pretty good chemistry, this show was really strong when displaying their love for one another, they are many really, really cute scene with them. As much as I want this show to be a 10/10, it’s not. The story felt so stupid at times, the reaction and decision of characters felt to predictable or on the contrary , so stupid that it’s unbelievable I still liked this drama that much. If you want a cute story with a beautiful ending but that will make you question your sanity at times, I recommend! Was this review helpful to you?

DESTINY or COINCIDENCE, FIND THE RIGHT MOMENT
A time travel to save her idol. Go back to the past and try to change 2 things:- the accident in the swimming pool for him who left this sport and joined this boy band to end up committing suicide
- avoid the accident that forces her into a wheelchair.
It seems impossible to fight fate.
Many times he claims his love for her but it is never the right time. They are as close as 2 magnets but there is always something that divides them.
I really like their relationship, his awkwardness was so cute while she wanted to protect him, not to mention the "umbrella moments" that were the best.
Those tears in their eyes are touching and emotional. So cute together.
The thirteenth episode was the worst and also the last 3 episodes are badder than first 12.
Certain scenes and situations left me stunned. For example when he was stabbed and he's about to fall off the cliff, nobody help him... neither she nor one of the policemen!!! Disappointing

Watch the first few episodes before letting the reviews influence you.
This drama has split reviews. People either hate it or love it. One thing I can say to people who haven't watched it - make your own choice. I watched this drama without reading the reviews or expecting anything, and I ended up enjoying the show. Yes, there were weaknesses in the plot, but the cast carried the plot through in times where it seemed to falter. If you see this drama as it is - a simple romance drama and not a technical thriller scifi, then you can really enjoy it.Was this review helpful to you?
Was this review helpful to you?
Missing Sun Jae, Im Sol and Tae Sung!
I dunno, I wasn't expecting that high upon watching this drama, as I lost interest watching SoKor dramas. But, Lo and behold! It was interesting, funny, a lot of second hand embarrassing moments, frustrating at times, sweet and giggly moments, and a whole lot more.I love their friendship, the filial love, and the frustrating obsession with saving and preventing things to happen.
I was surprise with Beon Woo-seok! I enjoyed watching his scenes with everybody.
I love the cast, their chemistry, their dialogues, the scenes, OST, and all the crying moments and frustrating events and scenes.
I will definitely miss watching them, and I love Sun Jae but I also love Tae Sung as well. Hoping for more dramas from them.

Time Travelled To Change Destiny
The story is about a woman who wants to save his idol from being killed by a killer. She has the power to travel into the past but can't speak about what's happening in the future because when She does that, the time stops. Later on, the future changed and every event that occurred made a new timeline which became more complex. That's where the story becomes interesting. Was this review helpful to you?
It's a good watch
First of all, I don't get why this kdrama got so many negative reviews. I just finished it and it isn't bad like some said. I just think that the people who gave bad reviews didn't read the tags at all. It wasn't mentioned in any place that this drama will focus on the mystery side that it is in it. I do understand where people come from and I would have liked some answers at some questions but I also understand that the mystery part wasn't their main focus. They probably added that part to have a bit of drama in the series.Second, I started this kdrama with the thought of watching something cute and lovely. And they indeed delivered that, and a few comedic elements. The relationship between Im Sol and Ryu Sun Jae was very cute and I enjoyed watching them together. I cheered for them so much. I wish they were developing their relationship more in the last few episodes though. The ending was feeling a bit short and rushed indeed.
This kdrama also reminds me of old kdramas back in the days of 2016-2018. It gives that nostalgia vibe and it really threw me back in time which was also a nice aspect that I liked.
The acting was very good from both Kim Hye Yoon and Byeon Woo Seok. I'll look forward to their other kdramas as main leads because they played their own part very well. You could really see the difference between their characters' young selves and their adult forms, as well as their emotions and feelings.
The music didn't stand out to me beside the main song that the series is focused on but it also didn't bother me. It was okay.
All in all, this kdrama is a good watch if you want just a cute and lovely drama to watch with the main leads and if you miss the old kdrama days, with their classic humor. It delivered what they aimed for. It isn't in my top kdramas but for sure it has its own place because of the nostalgic feeling. Instead of not giving this kdrama a chance because of the negative reviews, I say to watch it and then judge for yourself.
