Chang Sheng, a police sergeant at Huacheng Station, is facing a dual crisis in his career and personal life: his hopes of being promoted to deputy director have been dashed, and his long-standing marriage with his wife Zhou Ying is coming to an end. During this difficult time, an unexpected opportunity arises when Lao Sun, a stationed officer at Dongzhai Station within his jurisdiction, suddenly passes away while on duty.
