Good Modern Romance CDrama

Story:
-Good pacing and fun to watch how the lead characters finally get together
-Realistic with the FL's investment into the long relationship before and pressure from all sides to get back together as well as the ex boyfriends desire to get what he wants
-The theme of best friend with brother was also interesting to watch
-Liked the theme of family and support
-Liked how they showed character flaws of leads, support each other and their struggles

Acting:
- ML and FL were so good and great chemistry
-BFF, Brother, the Assistant and the Heiress were fun to watch as well
-The band members & bartender boss were favorites!

Overall:
A good watch to see what modern Chinese young adult professionals work and culturally deal with life. The fashion was fun to see as the ML and FL were both in very cool clothes. The music was good and very moody. Appreciated the genuineness of the characters. There were some parts which were a bit overdone but overall I really enjoyed it!

Tried very hard to complete, but it was impossible.

This is a hopeless show. Started off as a very promising drama. But the character of the FL, the side characters are so superficial, they add nothing to the narrative. The side characters had their own story which did not tie in with the main story at all. It was like following two standalone stories which felt very distracting.
The less said about the unemotional acting of the FL. The character was written well but failed at the shop floor. Very similar character in A Rational Life was brilliantly acted out by the actor in that show.
Only points given for the Male Lead -he was like an oasis in the desert. May he get better projects in the future.

Boring

Nothing spectacular abt this drama, i wonder if there is really a conflict except for the FL being unable to decide which guy to pick. Actors are handsome - though so skinny even for asian taste, but quite common looking faces, i was struggling in the beginning to recognize who's who. Also the identical fashion style doesnt help at all - its so obvious that they were dressed by the same stylist. I'd say, no effort was put into creating the illusion of life, it's all like a big doll's house. A lot of coincidence happen - FL sprains her ankle twice, ML is there to help each time , FL gets caught in the rain two times, of course ML is there again etc etc. If i happen to stumble across something better, i consider droppin it... till then, just fast forwarding.

these past few weeks, i was into anime, bcs i was either waiting for the airing c/kdrama to get finished. But after getting tired with anime, no more good to watch, i went back to watching c/kdramas.

However… I was really careful on choosing one right now. Bcs I found myself recently loosing the momentum to finish every drama I started last month. Idk why.

But after reading some reviews in the comment about this one, I decided to take risk and watch this.

However, tbh, I ONLY find the EP1 interesting, but as the story goes on I DEFINITELY GET BORED. Probably because I can’t relate? I am not yet on that age to get what these couples trying to portray.

I ACTUALLY SKIPPED MOST PARTS. I tried to hold on watching the story of the main leads, because each couple in the drama has also other story to tell which are definitely way far from the main lead’s story.

However, idk if it’s me or is there anyone on the same page to me, I FIND IT IRRITATING how the MALE LEAD is so inconsistent with his actions. I just don’t like how the script and the his character was written it was so inconsistent.

Sometimes he’s tough, sometimes he’s nice. Sometimes he’s reckless, sometimes he’s considerate. It just confuses me. I feel like ML attitude flactuates — you thought it’s going to somewhere but eventually he’ll be back to the old one. I just find it so cringe.

Especially the stock room office where ML pulled FL inside, like wth — you don’t want to get misunderstood but on the first part of the story, you find it interesting not to explain what happened on that night.

BRUH. I don’t feel like I have so much energy left to finish this. So if you guys have, probably this drama if for you. But definitely NOT for me.

Zhang Yuxi and Liu Xue Yi are no strangers for anyone who's watched 'Love and Redemption'. This was an unexpected pairing but I was mostly excited for it because of their BTS poster shoots and Tiktok promos while they filming it. I would say this drama somewhat started strong only to completely fizzle out and recycle the same scenes every episode. I am a bit bitter for all the time I spent on it and only finished watching it for the leads.

PLOT:
There's no plot. At least it never materialized to what it was setting out to be. A girl gets cheated on by a longterm boyfriend cum fiance only to fall for the "wrong guy" or "bad guy". I suppose their initial connection was strong and it was fun to wait for the leads to get together. However the editing and pace of their progress as a couple was all over the place. The ML has an unexplained obsession and was at times crossing the boundaries. The girl was indecisive and at times felt like she was emotionally cheating on her boyfriend as well. Their relationship dynamics were really lacking. The worst part in the plot are the secondary and tertiary couples which were just not even worth the effort of skipping over. In the second half the story was more focused on them than the main couple.

CAST:
Now here is literally where I cannot rate the drama super low. Liu Xue Yi did a decent job but Yuxi was quite lacking in the acting department. However I appreciate her chemistry with the ML as their interactions never felt awkward.

WHAT WORKS:
-The leads and their chemistry
-Not many misunderstandings after they get together

WHAT SUCKED:
-All supporting casts
-The unsatisfactory ending

OVERALL:
I'll give this one a hard pass unless what you're looking for is just eye candy because the leads were super easy on the eyes.

Fluffy

A fluffy romance story which has a fairly strong female lead trying to makr her own way against fathers and fiances advice. Fiance cheats so now she is trying to find her way without getting tangled up with sexy work boss who seems to be a womaniser.
I like how the FL is determined but am sick of all the familiar tropes- drunken FL looked after by boss, multiple falls and saved in the rain scenes, arm grabbing and dictatorial sillyness. There is very little to the plot and its not very exciting. Oh and younger brother with crush on her friend and young woman chasing the boss. I mean how many times are chinese writers going to overuse these themes?
Im fast forwarding just to see what happens but am not engaged by this series.

If you're looking for profound/life-changing story then this ain't for you.

Typical urban romance.

A straight no none-sense ML and a girl next door FL met one drunken night on bar. A sure way to lead to misunderstanding between them.

Next thing they know, they're working together so they need to set aside their differences. From adversary's, to colleague, to friends, to lovers.

The story itself is a bit draggy, skipped some here and there. Some issues were so mundane and can be easily avoided with a bit of honesty.

FL is the source of most of the issues if not all. At first she was supposedly a woman of power but for the first part of the story, she was indecisive. Almost dropped the show because of this.

Amazing Chemistry, Kinda Rushed Ending

I started watching this drama only for ZYX but the male lead is quite good. The starting is kinda slow and I skipped ALOT, especially the second couple part.

What's unique of this drama?
No overbearing, bossy ml & weak, dependent fl. They both trust each other.

Main couple have sweet chemistry with many hot kisses, no melodrama & trust in each other. The ost is sensual but don't judge a book by it's cover, there are no overboard scenes.

Now abt rushed ending, it ends with proposal. For me, it's kinda unclear if he left for 3yrs or 1 month. There's no after story/extra/special episode but there's one clip on mgtv with their son. They could hv cut some scenes of 2nd ml or 2nd couple and showed the main couple wedding/son.

Unbelievable annoying

OMG, again the same. In the first episode ML is a top notch in the industry, highly dignified and matured with high EQ, IQ etc.. etc.. etc… but after meeting the FL, falls in love at first sight and becomes different person like a shameless jerk with no self respect and his IQ, EQ drops to negative value, keep on pestering her even though to a extent she indirectly slapped him but again he repeats the same.
After watching 10 episodes what I got confused is whether this drama direction team is brainless or me for watching this. For 10 episodes no story at all, without any proper plots ML and FL keeps on cross their paths and whenever they meet ML always forcing the FL to break up with the boyfriend(even in the office) and she keeps on telling (in all possible ways, both decent and extreme) not to interfere in her personal business but again he shamelessly repeating the same thing for 10 episodes(I have only watched 10)

Should of only been 20 episodes long

I really hope this isn't those Chinese Romantic dramas where the Rich, emotionalist, get his way man, who demeans women eventually get the supposedly strong woman, but ends up mumbling weak minded and a enabler. We will see. This the 1st episode, but it looks like it.

At first glance it appears that Mo Ling Ze is going to be the typical rich, demeaning to women, can have his way and no-one does anything to him man. Time will tell. Xu Qing You appears to be strong minded, driven and not a push over woman. And there it is: the I have to close you in for some reason, so you can fall me move. Usually its a trip or fall. What's with men getting in the face of the women and they say nothing nor do they do anything.!? Mo Ling Ze is a stalker. He doesn't respect her wishes. If you tell someone stay away and they show up where ever you are, it's called stalking. I guess in Chine there isn't anything called work place sexual harassment. I guess they call it dating. We all know how they will end up. let switch to the subplot.

I am glad there are other Cast member that have their side conversations, because right now the main characters have no chemistry. I can see where this is going. So far the subplots are better than the main characters. Mo Ling Ze can grab Xu Qing You at will and slang her anywhere and she does nothing. I guess in some circles that's called romance, but in the rest of the world it's call abusive and assault.

Xu Wei is the one doing everything right. He isn't grabbing Fang Qi and pusher her around. He is supporting and bailing her out when needed. Right now I am feeling that they could of told this Storyline in 20 episodes. The reason I say 20 episodes is because we know Xu Qing You and Mo Ling Ze hook up. Now all we have to do is solve the subplot situations. The skeletons are coming out of the closet.

The subplot was better than the Main storyline. The story of her brother's love for woman they grew up with and was her best friend was great! The chemistry between those two where fantastic. the chemistry between the ML and FL wasn't there. I felt He was a stalker, yanking her around, grabbing her at will and she did nothing. Mo Ling Ze knew she was broken heart and he zoomed in on it like a Bird of Prey. She was to weak minded to resist. Xu Qing You should of time to get herself together before getting back out there. Her Ex wasn't any better. He was obsessed to the enth degree. The Storyline should of only been 20 episodes long.

One time watch was good enough.

Liberazione da un amore tossico, enemies to lovers, age gap, relazioni tra adulti (quindi un po' più mature). Questo cdrama mi è piaciuto sotto molti aspetti ma non vi nascondo che quando c'era una determinata coppia io l'ho skippata alla grande. La storia d'amore principale, o meglio quella che penso che lo sia perchè ad una certa non si capisce troppo bene data la quantità enorme di scene data ad un'altra, è proprio una bella storia con tutti i dovuti criteri, le difficoltà.. E' proprio una bella storia tra adulti. Mi è piaciuto tutto di loro, non cambierei una virgola. Anzi, vorrei che ci fossero più storie come le loro nei drama. Il problema di tutta la serie, e da qui il voto basso, nasce dalle altre coppie. Una in particolare sembra rubare la scena molte volte alla principale e non è che non mi sia piaciuta ma secondo me ha ricevuto troppo spazio. L'altra invece non la posso proprio vedere, infatti non l'ho vista XD
