In a traditional Korean shaman village, during the yearly sacrificial rites, a woman named Han Ne is saved from killing herself in the temple of the nymph by a servant named Man Myung. Man Myung looks affectionately after her but the villagers want to kick her out because she may bring bad luck. During the rites, Yoon Pil Joo, the master of the sacrificial rites rapes Han Ne while wearing the ritual mask. In the past, Man Myung's mother was prey to Pil Joo's carnal desires.
