Himerareta Shinju (1984)

The president of a long-established kimono wholesaler, Shinkichi, is frightened by suspicion of stomach cancer and is unable to take care of his business. Soon, Shinkichi's cancer becomes a fact, and his wife, Atsuko, is very aware of her husband's "one more year" sentence. With her husband talking about ominous things, a store that is busy with payments, and her adoptive father, Takeyoshi, who has started to appear more and more in her life, Atsuko feels more and more depressed. Everything becomes even more complicated, when Atsuko begins an affair with a much younger man, while Shinkichi becomes obsessed with his diagnosis and vision to die with his wife.
