Once a cab driver, Jin Bae kept sinking into debt no matter how hard he tried. Chi Woo, a loan shark, coerces Jin Bae into hitting an old man with a car for insurance money for settlement, so that he can repay his debt. An old man named Jong Joon with no family or friends becomes their target. Just when Jin Bae is about to run Jong Joon over, the old man collapses on the crosswalk. Jin Bae has no other option to carry him to the hospital, where he breaks into tears at the thought of the loan shark’s constant threats. Assuming Jin Bae is a concerned son of Jong Joon, a nurse consoles him. Jin Bae ends up spending the night at the hospital and giving Jong Joon a ride home the next day.
