i thought this would be my favorite gl but no
loved the trope and overall the story but they didn’t had the change to make justice to the whole story with 8 episodes and the last 2 episodes was so annoying like I could barely watch because of that adding some annoying stuff to the story ruined the whole plot atp. like what was the point to make lada break up with earn since she fight a lot for their love?? or why would make her mother agree about their relationship after she wake up from coma?? like this is gap trope and im so tired of itWas this review helpful to you?

The actresses showcase fantastic chemistry and deliver impressive performances!
The plot could use some improvement. I really enjoyed the beginning; those sweet moments were delightful. Lada's mother, on the other hand, is quite the villain, which is unfortunate for her. It's tough to see how manipulative her mother is, but every drama needs a bit of evil to create tension. However, what I found frustrating was when Earn decided to eat the dessert despite knowing she’s allergic to bananas. Eating a banana in the hospital was also a poor choice—it felt immature and a bit lazy in terms of writing, just to force a reconnection between the two characters. Testing someone's affection by bringing your allergy into the mix is quite dumb.
I'm not comfortable with scenes where characters engage in sex after one of them has been drinking. It feels wrong when someone has clearly expressed that they don't want you in their life, yet another person takes advantage of their intoxication.
Even if the drunk individual is still in love with you, it would be more respectful to suggest waiting until they're sober to see if they still feel the same way.
It seems rather immature for them to play jealousy games after having spent the night together. Given that one of the characters is a doctor, I would expect a bit more maturity from her. If their intimate encounter hadn’t taken place, I might be more understanding of this whole "trying to make each other jealous" storyline.
Later on, they seem to be on good terms, but I wish we could see more of their journey. What really brought them together? It wasn't that night they spent together, especially since they were just trying to make each other jealous not long ago.
Another misunderstanding occurs, leading to more tension between them. I realize that a shift is necessary (for the drama to be more dramatic), as I mentioned, when they were getting along for that brief moment, it felt incredibly rushed. Because of that, I didn’t really mind when they fell out again. Now, they’re attempting to start fresh, but it feels just as hurried this time.
I feel that the frequent use of "go away, I don’t want to see you" followed by moments of getting along has become tiresome, causing the plot to lose its strength.
The remarkable chemistry shared by the lead actresses helped the series avoid being just average.

a neater, though not necessarily more polish gl
The Secret Of Us is a wonderful change of pace in Thai GL. With (relatively) mature leads, minimal boyfriend drama, and cleaner production values it's easy to get swept up in enjoying the drama and antics of these women's lives. An entertaining story, charismatic actresses, and a good sense of pacing carries this story above the pack in a GL-heavy year (and I hope there's many more to come). That said, the script is still relatively weak and focus on being pretty sometimes overtakes the opportunity for a more heartfelt performance. It's a step up, but I hope we don't stop here!-The Full Review-
STORY:
This story is a bit... shaky. While Earn and her devotion is quite sweet and charming, the context behind it is paper thin. Despite the break up hinging on her mother's health, we almost never see Earn interact with that mother again. Likewise, there are many other plot points (and characters) that are treated as vital to these women's lives... only to disappear the second their entertainment value is spent. It feels... sloppy. I enjoy the chance to get to know adult women with prior history and firm ambitions, but the script struggles to fill out their lives.
Additionally, I found the finale episode to be quite weak. A large piece of plot is introduced and solved in 3/4 parts, leaving the final moments to largely montage wrap up. It felt oddly rushed and empty at the same time, leaving a rather pale impression after so many weeks of enjoyment. I would have liked to see the plots more connected throughout the episodes leading up to a finale that resolves them in a more satisfying manner.
ACTING:
This one is tricky. I think Orm and Lingling are both enormously talented... but the show did not truly showcase that. The chemistry is undeniable and the character work consistent, but everything is plastered over with perfect hair, perfect make up, perfect costumes, and perfect lighting. There is no real sense that these are real women, rather than actress dolls. It severely undercut the emotional pay-off of the more dramatic scenes, despite these actresses clearly giving it their all.
PRODUCTION:
This whole show is very shiny. Everyone has is perfectly dressed with glass skin and designer clothing, living in magazine houses with sports cars. I'm not sure this was always the right move or mood for the story. It made the characters and their problems feel more distant and false, creating a detachment to the story instead of getting to explore the circumstances of these women and their love.
That said, it was a beautifully shot show that was easy to watch. The lighting was always gorgeous and romantic, creating a strong tone for the story to build off of. I especially loved Juepak's colorful and lively costuming, and the levity it brought to the story. Each prop specific to Lada and Earn was well designed--especially the puzzle, Earn's scarf, and the music box girls. Their appearances helped tie the story together.
INTIMACY:
I really enjoyed Orm and Lingling together. Despite Ch. 3 mostly offering low-heat and... poised intimacy, they brought a real affection and comfortability with each other. It was easy to believe these women were in love and desired to be near each other, and truly beautiful to see the way they gently cared for each other. While I'm always advocating to allow women to be as sexual and present as their male counterparts, this seemed like the right tone for this company and this production (as opposed to a cop out). I really enjoyed it.
In all, this was probably one of the cleanest GL productions I've seen yet, but I'm not sure it was my favorite. I would like to see some of the improvements made here mixed with the heart and passion of less-polished works. I enjoyed the lead actresses immensely and would love to see them in something again soon.

My fab series
This is the best gl I mean this is the best series I've ever watched. I really really appreciate the writer. Since the first ep I'm in love with this series . Doc.Falada is the romantic man who really takes a good care of her naughty girl.It was funny when Lada was trying to knock out Earn from her life. Whatever Lada does only her love meets Earn. But I'm a little sad for Engfa she really did a lot for Earn. But It's good that she understood that Earn only belongs to Lada.
Their love, the chemistry, the care was very adorable. There was butterfly on my stomach whenever i saw those two loving each other.
I really love the story. Their acting deserve Oscar ? cuz they made the Series very much realistic. I really love the OST the background music. Tbh now I'm literally crying for the end. Hope we'll get more series of my fab couple,
LingOrm.❤️❤️

Love the actress but not the series
The drama happened due to misunderstanding and character (earn) not hurry to clear things up which make so frustrating that I can’t keep watching. Really love the actress’s performance but they keep making stupid decisions and making each jealous for no reason, in short they just don’t know how to communicate. The cinematography was good and so many different scenes/outfit compare to blank (production was good) but characters facial expressions was not good enough (earn, just my opinion ) i can’t feel the character's emotion. However, i willing to try and continue watching the next episode hope i can change my mind later. Was this review helpful to you?

The Secret Of Us is a high quality series varying in many different attributes for viewers to enjoy
The Secret Of Us has become my favorite gl and show in general that I've watched. Ling, Orm, the rest of the cast, production, and directing team do such a good job protraying and delivering each scene. I especially love the story of Fahlada and Earn, I can't wait to see how the rest of their story unfolds! I personally love the strangers to lovers and enemies to lovers trope and it's even better that this series gives me the best of both worlds. The mix of fluff and angst is perfect. I'm a sucker for osts and I can say the ost for The Secret Of Us is one of my favorites, Lingling's voice is so beautiful and she perfectly conveys the emotion fitting to the series. As the ost plays, it isn't sudden neither is it unfitting, it flows in perfectly within the scenes. And as much as I'd hate to see The Secret Of Us end, I can't wait to rewatch all of the episodes over and over again, from beginning to end. As I said before, The Secret Of Us has become one of my favorite shows I've watched and I'd recommend it to anyone and everyone, this series is something that should be shared and watched all over the world! Was this review helpful to you?

bad storyline
I had high expectations for this series, but as the episodes went by, the story started to decline in quality. The performances were good, but the lack of creativity in the storyline left me disappointed. It’s nothing like the book. The actresses are talented, but I could sense some discomfort in certain intimate scenes.Having a heart attack made the mother realize that she needed to change all her beliefs in order to accept her daughter. Faladha had always been weak, so much so that she was even willing to let go of the love of her life.

What’s most important to know
This Thai gl series it’s so amazing!!! they have a good chemistry in scene and off scene. They’re acting it’s so good too they really nailed it. This Thai GL Serie it’s so different from the others because they have a lot of love scene and all the scene are quite hot and sexy. I don’t know how they still not together after all that. They got popular before the swrie was aired and after the serie ended they got even more popular!!!. y’all should give it a try to this Thai Gl serie. u will love itWas this review helpful to you?
This is a woman’s GL through and through
I’ve been watching GL’s since forever and from almost every country that’s ever made them and I can honestly say that-The Secret Of Us, is the finest quality GL that I have ever seen and that has ever been produced thus far. Everything about it screams top tier with this series from the cast whose talent and beauty are visually unmatched to the director and etc. everything is on point.Facts- TSOU and Blank is the best GL’s I’ve seen to date with harder more adult plots and situations to deal with and to execute properly. But TSOU differs from a lot of GL’s and specifically fully grown adult -Thai GL’s. It was the Thai traditional take on romance and it was designed and fashioned specifically for its core audience standards first while showcasing to the west, what Thai romance is really like, only this time, they did it with a GL.
It didn’t go in heavy or above and beyond with the love scenes because it didn’t need it, to keep the audience invested as the talent and the beauty as well, was more than enough to keep the viewers watching. Certain people are concentrating on the lack of love scenes and nagging on the plot and hey it’s their issue and I get it because I know that they either couldn’t feel it, or they just couldn’t get it. But what they are failing to realize is that this show did something for Thai GL that had yet to be done. It brought softness, gentleness and tenderness into the realm of Thai GL which was sorely needed after all the previous stories just jammed with lots of strife and hit and run toxicity first before we got to the romance. And No one, could really push or guilt trip either of the MC’s around in this story either as once they knew who and what it is they wanted, they always chose each other first or to put the other’s needs first.
And this could only be done for this story, because unlike the previous Thai GL’s we’ve all seen, this story was actually written by a woman and not a man. Which is why it was directed by a woman, script adapted to screen by women, produced by a woman, as its story was about women and so it’s main characters were all going to be played by women. It is a true woman’s take on WLW love and I respected it and appreciated that more than anything else. LingOrm served in this show and took us through the stages of love found, love lost, separation and grief, anger and angst, lost love found again and now kept for a lifetime. All while it managed to make GL’s soft, feminine, sweet, tender and beautiful again. This is a woman’s GL through and through and it’s really a full and complete GL and I LOVE IT!
