Speed and Love had an interesting premise, but unfortunately, the execution made it difficult to take the story seriously. Instead of feeling emotional or exciting, many scenes came across as unintentionally cringe. The dialogue was often overly dramatic, with characters expressing their feelings in ways that felt forced rather than natural. Instead of creating chemistry, these moments frequently made me feel embarrassed for the characters.
Overall, Speed and Love is a film with potential that fails to deliver a satisfying experience. It tries to be heartfelt and romantic, but instead often feels awkward and unintentionally funny. Viewers looking for a light, cheesy romance might still find some entertainment in it, but those expecting a well-written love story may be disappointed. Personally, I found it more cringe than charming, and it is not a movie I would watch again. I would give it 2 out of 5 stars.

The FL fails to deliver the emotions and The Timeline is blur.

She was known really well on previous drama (MJTY) but I decided not to watch it either. This is my first time watching her drama since everyone seemes excited while waiting, thus I gave a try but cannot continue and definitely not a cup of my tea with her acting skills. The story began understandably which she was young and didn't want to accept what she faced while her mom not even on her side. Then, it feels a bit awkward for me and I pity the ML because The FL was clinging since first while they were not even growing up together. There is a moment she has seen him as a brother but in a blink she has seen him as a 'grown up man' like she amased and she has a bit tension while looking at his body. I found it strange, isn't he your brother? On the other hand, she cries a lot realised the ML has been growing different as she thought and doing extreme jobs. I start sense timeline blurry what is actually she tries to deliver about her feeling. Does she fall to him, since the day they meet again? Or does she still consider him as brother? the scene she cries a lot in the car, that was teribble not even a teenger will cry like her despite faking it.

This drama is seriously overrated.

This drama is seriously overrated. I don't understand why it's so highly praised. maybe for the teen generation

I agree with the reviewers who share the same opinion as me.

My biggest issue is the casting. On screen, the male lead comes across as younger than the female lead. I'm not talking about their real ages I'm talking about how they look and feel on screen. Since the story is supposed to portray the male lead as older and the female lead as younger, that dynamic just doesn't come across visually.

Because of that, the female lead's childlike behavior although it makes sense for her character, who is younger and dependent on those around her ends up feeling more cringe than believable. I think the pairing would have worked much better if she had been cast opposite a more mature-looking male lead. The casting simply doesn't fit the story.

Another thing that bothered me was how, the moment they found out they weren't related by blood, romantic feelings seemed to appear almost instantly. There was almost no time for emotional conflict or adjustment, which made that transition feel rushed and unconvincing. 

I noticed this in the very first episode, the moment the male lead made his entrance. Right away, it felt like the pairing was off for the concept the drama was trying to portray. By the end of the episode, there was already a hint of romance, but it just didn't work for me.

The first episode itself was hard to get through.

Well, I gave it one more episode, and the second episode still didn't convince me. Sometimes, you just shouldn't rely on ratings. This drama is genuinely overrated and overpraised.

Química maravilhosa!!!!

Eu gostei do começo ao fim. Não teve nenhum episódio em que eu me senti cansada ou entediada, muito pelo contrário. É um drama bom, gostoso de assistir e que prende.

No começo, a nossa prota é um pouco infantilizada, o que acaba sendo um pouco chato, porque sabemos que ela já é maior de idade no drama, mas alguns comportamentos soam imaturos e até um pouco constrangedores. Ainda assim, isso não chega a atrapalhar a experiência, porque depois de um certo tempo ela amadurece muito. Essa mudança deixa tudo muito mais interessante e prazeroso de assistir (na minha humilde opinião).

A partir daí, a química do casal fica evidente e é simplesmente maravilhosa. A história se desenvolve muito bem, a gente entende os traumas internos de cada um, as situações que eles enfrentam, todo o processo, inclusive o perdão e a reconciliação. Tudo isso é bem construído.

Eu realmente acho que o prota foi um pouco cruel em alguns momentos, assim como outras pessoas ao redor. Tenho uma visão bem aberta sobre isso: acredito que não devemos privar ninguém do sofrimento nem tomar decisões pelo outro. As pessoas precisam ter o direito de decidir se querem ou não permanecer na nossa vida diante das dificuldades que estamos enfrentando. Esse, pra mim, é um ponto de partida importante.

Por outro lado, entendo que o prota agiu assim porque não queria vê-la sofrer. Ele toma decisões por ela acreditando que, dessa forma, estaria protegendo, achando que não permitiria que ninguém a fizesse sofrer, nem mesmo ele. Porém, chega um momento em que ele percebe que estar longe dele é um sofrimento ainda maior para ela.

E isso torna o drama ainda mais gostoso de assistir. O casal é fofo, a química é linda, a comunhão entre eles é clara, e o relacionamento é leve e divertido. Dá aquele sentimento de “meu Deus, como eu queria um amor assim”. Não nego…

Tirando a infantilização da nossa Mumu no começo, acredito que o drama não tenha grandes defeitos. Eu amei, especialmente o fato de o nosso Mikeangelo não ter sido um vilão. Que amizade maravilhosa e divertida entre eles, confesso que queria até MAIS de desenvolvimento deles, nessas corridas até.

No geral, é um drama delicioso de maratonar. Tem história, tem fechamento, boas interações e um enredo bem construído. Vale muito a pena assistir!!!!

Speed and Love a été un énorme coup de cœur pour moi. J’ai adoré cette série presque du début à la fin, au point de m’attacher profondément aux personnages et à leur univers. L’ambiance est très réussie : entre la douceur, le danger, la compétition et cette tension constante entre protection et vulnérabilité, la série m’a complètement happée.
Les personnages principaux sont très touchants, notamment Jiang Mu, dont l’évolution m’a énormément marquée. Sa relation avec Zhao est intense, complexe et pleine de non-dits. J’ai beaucoup aimé ce côté dangereux mais protecteur chez lui, qui contraste avec sa fragilité intérieure. Leur relation m’a vraiment fait vibrer, surtout au début de la série, qui est selon moi la partie la plus forte.
Le début est exceptionnel : le rythme est bon, l’alchimie fonctionne, l’univers est bien installé et chaque épisode donne envie de continuer. En revanche, après l’accident, j’ai ressenti un vrai changement. Ce n’est pas que la série devient mauvaise, mais plutôt qu’elle perd un peu de sa cohérence émotionnelle. Certaines intrigues deviennent floues, étirées inutilement, et j’ai parfois eu l’impression que des scènes étaient longues pour rien, sans réelle avancée. L’impact émotionnel est moins fort, comme si la série savait où elle voulait aller sans toujours savoir comment y parvenir.Même si j’ai adoré la série, il reste beaucoup de points en suspension, ce qui est frustrant au vu de son potentiel. J’aurais vraiment aimé voir plus de scènes avec le père de Jiang Mu. La relation père-fille est très peu exploitée, alors qu’elle aurait pu apporter une grande profondeur émotionnelle. Ensuite , le chien Éclair disparaît presque totalement sans explication, ce qui est vraiment dommage vu son importance au début. Je fais surtout référence à la période après que Jiang Mu retrouve Zhao dans le café, lorsque le chien le reconnaît immédiatement. À partir du moment où elle emménage avec lui, on n’entend pratiquement plus jamais parler d’Éclair, comme s’il n’avait jamais existé, alors qu’il avait une vraie valeur symbolique dans leur histoire.
De manière générale, il y a ensuite beaucoup trop de questions sans réponse. Je ne comprends toujours pas clairement pourquoi Zhao s’est réellement éloigné de Mu. Le cercle d’amis disparaît aussi du jour au lendemain : on n’entend plus parler de Nana, ni même de la fille serpent (celle qui était amoureuse de Zhao). Sa vie au Canada est très largement survolée, alors que cela aurait pu enrichir son parcours personnel et son évolution émotionnelle.Je suis également déçue par le manque d’explications autour du passé de Zhao. On sait que ses parents sont morts et qu’il a été adopté, mais on n’a jamais vraiment de détails. C’est dommage, car cela aurait permis de mieux comprendre sa personnalité, ses peurs et ses choix. Il manque aussi des explications sur les raisons profondes qui l’ont poussé à tout cacher à Mu. Après son accident, il aurait très clairement pu se remettre avec elle, mais il a préféré s’éloigner sous prétexte qu’il voulait son bien. Cette décision est compréhensible sur le plan émotionnel, mais elle manque de développement scénaristique et laisse encore une fois beaucoup de zones d’ombre. Le personnage de la fille serpent est lui aussi traité de manière trop précipitée. Ils avaient pourtant clairement coupé les ponts, et dans le dernier épisode, elle se retrouve très proche de Mu, ce qui me laisse assez perplexe. Cette évolution aurait mérité plus de temps et d’explications pour être crédible.

J’aurais aussi aimé que la série s’attarde davantage sur les personnages secondaires, en particulier Shan Lai, qui est vraiment un ami en or. Son histoire personnelle, notamment avec son père et les jeux d’argent, aurait mérité d’être plus développée. Enfin, je trouve dommage que Zhao n’ait pas pu voir de ses propres yeux l’arrestation de ceux qui lui ont fait du mal. Même s’il était à l’hôpital, cela aurait été une scène très forte émotionnellement. Le fait que ce soit simplement raconté par un policier enlève beaucoup d’impact. Cela aurait donné une conclusion bien plus puissante et satisfaisante. D’ailleurs, à ce moment-là, alors qu’on le voit ému et heureux, je ne comprends pas pourquoi il ne revoit pas Mu. Il aurait pourtant pu la retrouver.

Concernant la scène du mariage, je trouve aussi qu’il manque quelque chose. La fuite en moto est jolie symboliquement, mais j’aurais aimé voir davantage de moments avec la famille et les amis. Cela donne une fin un peu trop rapide, alors que l’histoire méritait une conclusion plus posée et plus complète.Malgré tout, j’ai vraiment aimé l’univers, l’intensité des relations et l’attachement que la série crée envers ses personnages. Les imperfections sont d’autant plus visibles parce que la série est excellente à la base. C’est justement parce que je l’ai autant aimée que j’en attendais davantage.

Un départ prometteur… et puis ça s’étire, dommage il y avait du potentiel...

Alors clairement, je me suis lancée dans "Speed and Love" un peu par curiosité. Je regarde rarement des dramas chinois, mais l’univers et l’affiche m’ont intriguée, donc j’ai tenté 😅.

Ici, on suit Jiang Mu, une jeune femme plutôt droite, qui a grandi loin de son “frère” Jin Zhao après le divorce de leurs parents. Lui a pris un chemin complètement différent, avec la rue, la débrouille, les rodéos urbains… bref, un environnement brutal, dangereux, loin de tout ce qu’elle connaît 🚗🔥... Et quand elle décide de le rejoindre, ce n’est pas juste une histoire de retrouvailles. C’est surtout un énorme choc... celui de voir ce qu’il était enfant, et ce qu’il est devenu adulte.

Le drama prend clairement son temps, surtout sur la relation. On n’est pas sur une romance explosive dès le départ, mais plutôt sur des regards, une tension silencieuse, ce petit quelque chose qui s’installe doucement et qui m'a donné envie de continuer 👀. La romance se construit à feu doux, sans précipitation, et ça ne m’a pas dérangée. Au contraire, j’ai trouvé ça plutôt bien amené.

Là où ça a commencé à coincer pour moi, c’est du côté du personnage féminin… Son jeu est très enfantin, parfois même trop 😬. Sa manière de parler, son attitude un peu “petite fille”, m’ont mise mal à l’aise à plusieurs reprises, surtout face à un univers aussi rude que celui de la course. J’attendais vraiment une évolution, quelque chose de plus affirmé, plus "badass", surtout quand elle commence à s’imposer dans ce milieu, en commençant à conduire... Mais c’est reste trop timide... J'ai trouvé ça frustrant de ne pas voir son personnage évoluer au fil du temps...

Le ML, en revanche, m’a beaucoup plus convaincue. Jin Zhao dégage ce côté fermé, cabossé, comme quelqu’un qui a appris très tôt à ne compter que sur lui-même. Il parle peu, ne fait pas de grandes déclarations… mais chacune de ses micro-réactions trahit ce qu’il essaie de cacher 🫠. Ce que j’ai aimé chez lui, c’est qu’il n’est pas idéalisé... il fait des choix discutables, parfois mauvais, mais il reste cohérent du début à la fin. Et malgré mon manque d’adhésion au jeu de la FL, je reconnais que le contraste entre son monde brutal et la naïveté de Jiang Mu a créé une tension silencieuse intéressante 🫶🏻.

Par contre, gros bémol sur la dernière partie du drama. Le moment où elle part au Canada rejoindre sa mère, vers l’épisode 20, m’a clairement fait décrocher 🥱. J’ai trouvé que ça cassait complètement le rythme installé jusque-là... Et même si elle revient après des années, cette nouvelle dynamique ne m’a pas embarquée. Les neuf derniers épisodes m’ont paru longs, répétitifs, comme si le drama tournait en rond sans vraiment savoir quoi raconter 😮‍💨. Ça rabâche, ça étire, et je trouve que ça perd clairement en impact 😴.

Au final, je trouve ça dommage, parce que le départ était plutôt bon. Il y avait une ambiance, une tension, un potentiel… mais tout ne va pas au bout. "Speed and Love", c’est pas un désastre, mais c’est un drama qui commence mieux qu’il ne se termine, et qui m’a laissée avec un petit goût d’inachevé 😕✌🏻

SO MUCH CHEMESTRY AND AN EXCITING STORY

I’ve read the novel, so I was already familiar with the underlying story. I started following this drama the moment the cast and filming were announced. I’m a huge fan of Esther, and while I already knew He Yu, this drama made me fall in love with him instantly.
​The story is mind-blowing. Don't let the 'family' dynamic hold you back—the fact that he was adopted. They didn't see each other for 10 years; they were separated as children and reunited as young adults, when she was around 19/20 and he was 23/24. They both changed so much that the 'family' feeling vanished. In reality, the Male Lead was never truly treated as a member of the Jiang family; he was like a stranger. The only one who treated him like her 'everything' was MuMu. Since they built this bond as children, I see them more as childhood friends. When they reunited, they finally understood how to express that longing and that need for one another, and they accepted their feelings.
​I’ll say it again: the story is incredible, the chemistry is insane, and there’s tension in every single episode. There are plenty of kisses, lots of action scenes, and the side characters are actually interesting. He Yu and Esther did an outstanding job bringing their characters to life; you can really see their hard work in every emotion and detail. I also want to mention that He Yu performed his own driving scenes—he’s a huge motorcycle lover in real life too!
​They both have amazing visuals and are super hot. The costumes are fantastic; she never wore the same outfit twice, and she was always perfectly coordinated. Just looking at her outfits put me in a good mood. MuMu’s character might seem a bit childish at first, but she’s actually very cool and matures a lot by the end of the series. I also loved that they included a reconciliation scene between MuMu’s mother and ChaoChao; this wasn't in the novel, and I really wanted to see it. ChaoChao is a great character in my opinion; he suffered so much and struggled to find a place where he truly belonged. MuMu is the only one who, like the moon, always orbits around him.
​This series is just too beautiful—everyone, go watch it! I only wish some scenes hadn't been cut. MuMu and ChaoChao forever together! ❤️❤️❤️ The attention to detail was great, and the OST is also very beautiful."
