Sinematografinya sangat bagus

A beautiful slow-burn romance done right

Finished. It's been a long time since a series made me feel like this. I went through every emotion, watching it felt like an exciting roller coaster.
Both of them were INCREDIBLE. Their chemistry was so realistic that i got completely hooked, watching one episode after another. This drama felt like a kiss to my soul.

The Initial D reference was exquisite. I actually screamed when AE86 appeared.

P.d.: Zhao was so gorgeous. I need to rewatch the scenes where He was a mechanic 😂

The noble idiocy trope is strong in this one

There were 29 episodes at approximately 40 minutes each, but this show is a five. It really can’t be any higher than that.
Even though the cast is absolutely first class and the FL is very cute and stunning it fails to deliver and has a lot of problematic elements.
It starts off good. Not strong but good.. we see the FL planning to visit her brother in Thailand but being informed by her mother that he’s actually not her biological brother. She still goes to see him despite the shock and from the moment she lays eyes on him again after their enforced separation she immediately developed romantic interest in him.
I can see this being really problematic for a lot of viewers, but I can get over this. It’s not a big problem.
Next we watch them slowly forming a bond and getting together with her being overly clingy towards him.
He then gets involved in an accident which nearly takes his life and cripples him and he breaks up with her “for her own good”. We’ve all heard and seen this kind of noble active idiocy and they are then separated for six years while she goes back to Canada to look after a sick Mum and goes to study..
They then reunite in China and she becomes really petty immature and ridiculous by getting back at him by telling him she’s marrying somebody else which clearly causes him pain but they seem to just completely brush over this act of vindictiveness. Let me tell you this stuff is not cute it’s not clever it’s not entertaining. It’s just petty and frankly it shows poor character if people find this kind of stuff entertaining..
Anyway, they get together and he even wins over her mother and they live happily ever after. Actually, it’s all a bit meh when I think about it.

More dysfunctional nonsense

ML tells her “If you decide to be with me , you don’t get to change your mind”, gives her a symbol of great love and then abandons her because life gets hard. It was a lie. FL character has zero self-respect. She just pines for bro who lied to her nd pretended to never want to leave her, then she starts trying to go free him, again. This isn’t romantic, it’s not romantic to let yourself be lied to and uncared for. It’s just more drivel about how women should tolerate anything and not love themselves.

Iconic Drama with no place for disappointment. Just perfect from head to toe. ✨️

If you like something that has everything from car racing to a sizzling chemistry with a mist of sudden heartbreak, along with strong FL who knows what she wants paired up with our good boy gone bad ML. Then this one its for you. 😩🤌🏻✨️
You will never be disappointed watching them on screen with their slow burn tension. Intense staring with a sizzle of jealousy. Both leads get jelly jelly easily. There love is undeniable. She waited for him all the years. No one dared to generate spark on her heart the way our ML did. He was the only one manage to successfully race her heart. Similarly, she has own place inside his heart. She was already there. They are inseparable. Fate might be cruel to them but thats the test universe bound to take, in order to make them realize their real feelings. That they are incomplete without each other and separation is only breaking them apart mentally and physically.
It was a beautiful drama. It had everything I was looking for.

If this doesn't work with your taste, its totally fine to skip it. There is no compulsion on entertainment sources that you have to watch them.

That's it for review, its my first time giving a review to a drama, and pardon my English, its my third language, I bound to make mistakes when I don't use it that often. 🤧
And I don't write too much so I can only offer this much of my views. Thank you for reading it, and hope you have a nice drama watching journey. 🤗🤗

A beautiful love story with sizzling chemistry

This show is about the leads' love story and personal growth, through and through, with no distracting subplots and second leads. The main leads are perfectly casted; the supporting characters are strong; the cinematography is dreamlike; the OSTs add weight to all the emotional moments. This is a show I'll rewatch over and over again.

The main selling point of the show is the lead's chemistry, which is consistent from Ep.1-29. While the show is poorly edited, it doesn't detract from the essence of the story

The Thailand arc reels you in with gratuitous scenes of veeeery strong chemistry and high-adrenaline racing + boxing scenes, shot with a flurry of colorful lights layered against the humid nights.

The Nanjing arc is where the leads really showcase their acting chops. Esther and He Yu really impressed me here and brought my initial rating of the show from an 8.5 (exciting watch but not special) to a 10.0 (probably my favorite drama of all time).

Despite their 6-year separation, during that time, they continued living for each other and lived how the other would've wanted to live. The title's literal translation is "Dual Tracks", and during their separation, it really did feel like they were driving on parallel tracks, in hopes of meeting each other again one day. Jin Zhao crawled his way out of death's door and worked his way up to be the person Mumu has always seen him as since they were kids (a law-abiding, intelligent, successful individual), and opened up a coffee shop Mumu dreamt about having while they were in Thailand. Mumu did well with her studies, saw the world as Jin Zhao wanted her to when they broke up, and pursued astronomy, a subject Jin Zhao loved before life's tragedies took that chance from him.

The characters were always consistently expressing their love for each other -- Jin Zhao prioritizes Mumu over everything, even himself, and remembers all her small quirks. Mumu always took the first step to figure out Jin Zhao and fight for their love, bringing a sense of security and unconditional love to him (which he has always lacked given his upbringing)

Jin Zhao and Jiang Mu were beautifully crafted, nuanced characters and the show had a lot of positive themes as well -- but this review is getting too long :)

This drama is very interesting and the best of the year !!!

I like Yu Shuxin very much💞🤍🫶. The character jiang mu played at Yu Shuxin was interesting and inspiring. She was a bright, optimistic young girl with big dreams. However, after a life-changing incident, jiang mu grew older, stronger, and kept his spirit and courage intact. Yu shuxin succeeded in playing your jiang emotions so well, it makes the audience feel connected to her character. She managed to show the change in character of jiang from its initial soft to stronger and independent.

And for the Speed and Love drama has a light and interesting story making the audience can not stop watching. Chemistry between Jiang Mu (Yu Shuxin) and Jin Zhao (He Yu) is very strong, drives me crazy! They managed to show the feelings of the sincere love and make the audience feel like being experiencing their love journey. In addition, the plot is interesting and not too heavy makes this drama greatly entertaining. Overall, Speed and Love is a very very interesting and entertaining drama. Anyway this drama is very best and will be a favorite that is required to watch!

I hope Yu Shuxin can continue to grow as an actress and show the incredible acting ability in various roles in diverse diversions. And i hope more more love her and affection and can maintain her health and have enough rest time. I love you so much and i always support Yu Shuxin🥰💞🤍❤️

Satisfied with my viewing experience

Not many dramas have manage to make me get up at 4am to watch the episodes as soon as they release but this one did and I don’t not regret a single moment 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳

Could production have done a better job in the last episodes? Yes, but the story and characters kept me engaged until the last second and personally that’s all I ask for so for me this is a 10/10 viewing experience and a drama that I will be rewatching.

chemistry is chemistrying

it's been so long since i watched a great drama like this! The romance is top tier, the actors express so well the characters' emotions and you can really empathize with them. The two story time frames are well structured too, you can tell the shift from a young love to a more mature and aware one, both very thrilling and addictive. Kiss scenes are fire, breathtaking tension. It's the first time I like all the songs they used, so the OST is great too!
You should definitely give it a try!!

Pure sizzling chemistry

What stands out from the very beginning of Speed and Love is the intense chemistry and tension between the two leads. There is something undeniably captivating about the way they share the screen — a quiet pull, subtle looks, and an emotional undercurrent that makes every interaction feel charged. The drama feels like a really good dessert: one you never want to finish, because you enjoy and savor every single bite.

He Yu, in the role of Jin Chao, is nothing short of exceptional. He feels perfectly cast in a way that is almost rare. His presence alone carries the role — a natural, effortless masculinity that never needs to be announced. Calm, controlled, and emotionally contained, he radiates a powerful magnetism that dominates every scene he is in. There is something unmistakable in the way he looks at Jiang Mu, protects her, and clearly wants her. That quiet desire and control are what make their chemistry feel so real and intense.

Esther Yu, portraying Jiang Mu, gives a solid performance, and the actress is clearly capable. However, at times I find myself noticing elements of the actress rather than the character. While her role is meant to be younger, some moments come across as overly childish, almost as if she is trying too hard to appear like a “little sister” figure. A bit less exaggerated playfulness would have made her character feel more natural and better balanced alongside such a grounded male lead.

Even with a few narrative inconsistencies, I am completely here for their chemistry. It is something you don’t just see — you feel it. Much of that emotional impact comes from the male lead’s magnetic presence and his ability to convey desire, restraint, and protection without saying a word.

Beyond the performances, the drama itself is fresh, engaging, and far from predictable. The pacing keeps the story interesting, the cinematography is stylish and dynamic, and the overall atmosphere feels modern and polished. Combined with the strong chemistry between the leads, Speed and Love becomes a drama you don’t simply watch — you experience it.

Speed, Love, and a Pair That Matches Each Other’s Energy.

Speed and Love said “no promo, no escort,” and then proceeded to win viewers over the old-fashioned way, with characters that actually click.

At the center is Jiang Mu, played by Yu Shuxin, who brings a refreshingly sharp, emotional, and human female lead to the screen. She’s not written to be universally agreeable, and that’s exactly why she works. Yu Shuxin gives her layers, vulnerability without fragility, strength without stiffness, and you feel every emotional beat because it never feels fake.

What really elevates the drama, though, is that the male lead doesn’t fade into the background. He Yu plays his role with restraint and presence, giving Jiang Mu space to shine while still holding his own. Their dynamic feels balanced: no overpowering, no babysitting, just two characters meeting each other at eye level. The chemistry is calm but convincing, the kind that grows naturally rather than shouting for attention.

The pacing keeps things moving, the emotional moments land, and the drama never feels like it’s trying too hard to “prove” itself. It trusts the audience, and more importantly, it trusts its leads.

Is it perfect? No drama is. But it’s confident, engaging, and powered by two performances that actually complement each other, which is rarer than it should be in modern romances.

Final verdict:
If you’re tired of one-note characters and uneven pairings, Speed and Love is a pleasant surprise. It’s a drama that works because both leads show up, and that makes all the difference.

The plot is way more interesting than I expected....

So, this is my week off, and I’ve already rewatched this drama 3 times lmao. Anw, my review might contain spoilers

Honestly, I’m not a fan of dramas with age-gap romance or sibling-related themes. Some similar dramas that went viral before, I didn’t even finish them because the male leads felt straight-up pedophilic to me and the storyline was super mainstream (overrated, tbh)
But I decided to try this one because of the racing theme, and boom! Turns out the plot is way more interesting than I expected.

The ML is the son of the FL’s dad’s friend. After an accident, he gets adopted by the FL’s father and they grow up together. So no, this is not incest, they’re not blood-related siblings. As time goes by, they realize, what they feel for each other is more than just family.
Actually, if the drama didn’t have the racing theme, this might feel similar to Go Ahead (if you’ve watched it, you’ll know what I mean)
Since this kind of story is pretty common, what really sets this drama apart is the racing arc and the fact that it was filmed in Thailand. It’s truly a visual feast—shiny cars everywhere, plus the culture and scenery of Thailand are just chef’s kiss.

Now, the FL’s acting? No doubt. She genuinely made me cry my eyes out. To the haters who say Esther can’t “cry ugly”, bruh, I don’t get what that even means. Is she too pretty when she cries, so you think her acting sucks? Lol. Some people cry quietly, and in every Esther drama I’ve watched, she’s clearly that type and she does it well.

People say Esther can’t act just because her baby voice and acts cute? I don’t think so. In every drama and even variety show she’s in, that voice is clearly her real voice. The deeper-mature voice is actually the one she puts on for acting.
Let's be honest, acting cute is normal. Anyone can be cute, even as an adult. Especially women, there’s nothing wrong with being girly and feminine, right?
I think the haters are just salty because Esther naturally has a cute side, and at the same time she looks really graceful when she cries.

Next, the outfits! One thing I love about Cdramas is how visually pleasing they are, and outfits are a big part of that. Every time I see what Esther wears, I just want to buy it and wear it myself 😩

Last but definitely not least, the ML.

HE IS THE ONE I MEANT FOR THE PLOT OH MY GODSKDBN

Like, I don’t even care where the story goes. The real main plot is JIN ZHAO.

Heyu absolutely nailed Jin Zhao. His details and micro-expressions really remind me of Peng Yuchang (my favorite actor), who mostly does movies. And yeah, I feel like Heyu’s acting skills are very similar to actors who are deeply experienced in Cmovies.

I remember before this aired, there were a lot of haters spreading bad rumors about Heyu (they were clearly trying to stir drama between Heyu’s and Esther’s fans, but I don't care. I’D STILL WATCH IT)

Even though the pacing feels a bit rushed because a lot of scenes were cut, the chemistry between the FL and ML totally saves it.

Overall, I truly love this drama, and I don’t plan on moving on anytime soon, unless I find another drama that’s even better, lol.
