Addictive romance ruined by noble idiocy

The drama is about the love story between the two main leads, who spend some of their childhood years living as non-blood related siblings. Yes, this dynamic would understandably put off some people from watching however this would be the least of your problems. In fact, the drama makes them look more like childhood friends than actual siblings, and when they meet as adults, that’s a non-issue in the drama.

The first 19 episodes of the drama captivated me with addictive romance, beautiful visuals and a story that’s all about the sexy vibes. The real plot of the drama was indeed the romance and that’s the main reason this drama hooked me up so bad that I’d be totally obsessed with it. The angsty car racing scenes were the cherry on top.

However, the last 10 episodes completely shifted the tone and story of the drama, making it unrecognisable. It truly felt like I was watching something else, and if it wasn’t for the hot chemistry between the leads, I wouldn’t have been able to push through the episodes, especially because of the atrocious noble idiocy inserted.

POSITIVE:
- Stunning cinematography.
- Fantastic car racing scenes.
- Hot chemistry between the leads.
- Delicious kiss and intimate scenes.

NEGATIVE:
- Noble idiocy pretty much ruined it for me. I read many opinions about the male lead and the reasons behind his actions. And yet for me they felt like excuses. The male lead’s response when asked why he ghosted her for 6 years and made everyone lie to her was simply “she was too young”. I hated how the male lead made all the decisions for her. I hate how he stole her dream of opening a cafe, and stole her dog (that he originally didn’t even want to keep). I found none of these things romantic. I also didn’t like how Mumu kept chasing him until the end. If it wasn’t for her, they definitely wouldn’t have ended together. I did pity Jin Zhao, but I didn’t like him as a male lead. I watched for entertainment and there was nothing entertaining or touching about his behaviour. To me, he was self-protecting, masking it as “it’s for her own good”. He ran away, felt unworthy, and actually his behaviour was quite selfish. He kept saying how he wanted her to be happy and yet he was the one that hurt her the most. I hated how he kept everything hidden for 6 years and even when they met in adulthood, he still kept it all hidden and didn’t let her support her, didn’t let her CHOOSE for herself how she feels, until she relentlessly pushed through him.

- The last 10 episodes totally shifted the tone and story. It felt like I was watching a completely different drama that I didn’t sign up for. The spark and special magic from the first half was gone. It was very boring and I found myself skipping stuff.

OVERALL:
This drama had the potential to be one of my top favourites this year but the sudden shift in the last 10 episodes, toppled with noble idiocy, really ruined it for me. My high rating is only because I absolutely loved and was addictively obsessed with the first half of the drama. I really wish the drama had happily ended at ep 20. The romance and chemistry between the leads was such top tier!

EP 1-19: 100/10
Ep 20-29: 2/10
Final: 7.5-8

A very romantic, superficially written yet very well produced drama

⚪️ The good:
This is loaded with swoony, romantic, steamy longing and scenes. The actors are impeccably cast and deliver outstanding chemistry. The ML is the absolute standout of this series. The actor will captivate you and make you fall in love with their love.

⚪️ The bad?:
Is the second half. This is where the writing cant follow through on what it sets up for itself. This is where characters reveal themselves to be conveniently smart or stupid for the ease of the writing staff. This is where it becomes apparent this is a superficially written love story.

⚪️ In summary however,;
This is still very enjoyable if you can meet it where it’s at. Don’t expect it to delve deeply even into the serious details its put forth and you’ll be fine!

⚪️ My main issue with the second half:

Was the aftermath of the separation arc.
Even if i get over the abandonment post-accident and only consider what happens after, things still (in my eyes) have been written poorly. They have made Zhao into someone you simply cannot be in a mature relationship with. He will stonewall you the moment he has a major setback and you’ll live your life in a state of perpetual anxiety whether he may abandon you again if things get bad enough. He keeps not telling her anything, whenever he has the option he just lies or omits. Theres implied growth at the very end but no true example of it.

Also Zhao, if you can only see this girl as an inept child even when she is 26, how dare you feel romantically for her? Why is he in love with someone he keeps seeing and treating as nothing but a child?!

Also Mu is an idiot or very intelligent depending on what the plot needs. She could intuit and deduce like the best of them in most of the first half only to be completely stunted by the writer in the latter half. What do you mean you only put it together that your entire support system in Thailand had to be conspiring to lie to you?

As for the dog, they never mentioned when Zhao was given him so i dunno if it was months or years ago. Presumably months but idk.

Im not saying he shouldn’t have sent her away to Canada. Its good for the story that he did, i have issues with the writing of the aftermath. How it should have impacted Mu, the fact that Zhao keeps doing stuff like that even after they reunite, the lack of gravity in how they handle these dynamics, and so on. On an emotional level the characters acted how it was convenient for the writers, not true to what was happening (at least not fully true).

I think the actors, especially the ML, were so good for their roles that its easy to forgive some of the issues.

Im not unable to like something flawed, i totally can. And i like this a lot despite some disappointment. Not 10/10 but i still want more like this production quality, casting, chemistry, intense romance/longing.

I know exactly why I’m here and it’s not for the plot

I’ve been orbiting this drama since the first whispers of its existence escaped into the wild, so yes, expectations were involved. Possibly too involved.

Let’s start with the good, because credit where credit is absolutely due.

- Visually? This drama knew what it was doing. He Yu—sir. SIR. The camera loved him, the lighting worshipped him, and the man was sweating through half the scenes like he was being paid per droplet. Magnificently divine. No notes. My eyes were fed.
- The chemistry was also very much alive and breathing. There was sizzle. There were sparks. There were kisses, and not the shy peck-and-run kind either. Sprinkle sprinkle indeed. Whoever was in charge of that understood the assignment and clocked in early.
- Aesthetically, the drama was moody, atmospheric, and honestly gorgeous. The Thailand scenes in particular felt lush and cinematic, like the show briefly remembered it wanted to be cool and succeeded.

Now. Deep breath. The struggles.

- The “fake sibling” trope… listen. I tried. I really did. I performed Olympic-level mental gymnastics to tolerate this, but the ick kept winning gold. Too many moments were just deeply uncomfortable, and no amount of “but they’re not *actually* related” could save it.
- And then there’s the FL. Lord give me strength. Let’s be fair: Esther looked stunning in many outfits. Truly gorgeous. Face card never declined.
However.
I understand the intent: ML is mature, masculine, stoic—so they wanted contrast. What we got instead was infantilization turned up to eleven. Soft and feminine does not mean behaving like a 12-year-old with picky eating habits and childlike mannerisms. Yes, she’s 18. No, that does not excuse the constant helpless energy, the perpetual chasing, the desperation. Watching her run after the ML over and over again was exhausting. He yearns. We get it. But balance exists. Agency exists. Please locate it next time. She is doing the entire emotional labour of this relationship.
- Plot-wise? A free-for-all. Characters came and went, motivations shapeshifted mid-scene, and some dialogue lines had me staring at the screen like, “Who talks like this? Who approved this?”.

So, final verdict?

At the end of the day, this is pure fan service. A textbook idol drama, clearly aimed at a younger audience, and for that demographic, it probably hits. For me? It’s not unwatchable, but it is work. We’ve still got nine episodes left, and yes, I’ll probably finish them—out of commitment, curiosity, and He Yu-related reasons—but at this point, it feels less like a binge and more like a contractual obligation.

A chaotic watch. A visual feast. Chemistry is chemistrying. A narrative shrug.
Consume responsibly.

✨Alright. I’ve crossed the finish line.✨

All my previous points still stand, firmly planted and unbothered. Episodes 21–25, in particular, continued to irritate me for the same reason as before: the FL’s identity remained orbit-locked around the ML. Everything she was, felt, or did still seemed to exist in relation to him, and that creative choice continues to sit poorly with me.

I understand the reasoning behind their separation. Truly. Having read the novel, I’m familiar with JZ’s introspection, his internal logic, his emotional restraint masquerading as self-sacrifice. From a narrative standpoint, it tracks. From a woman’s standpoint? I have mixed feelings. If my supposed soulmate—someone who had yearned for me for years—still couldn’t bring himself to reach out, and the relationship only moved forward because I made the effort and carried the emotional momentum… that would hurt. Deeply. Love should not feel like a one-sided construction project.

That said, credit where it’s due: Jiang Mu’s character growth was beautifully handled. Her maturation felt earned, organic, and genuinely satisfying to watch. I loved her in the later stretch—confident, grounded, and emotionally present without losing her softness.

Episodes 26–29, in contrast, were unexpectedly healing. Warm. Unhurried. Rewarding. Watching them simply be happy—without constant tension, misunderstandings, or narrative whiplash—felt like a deep exhale. You could see it on the ML’s face: he had healed. He was no longer bracing himself against the world. He was openly cherishing his girl, and honestly? That part worked. It really did. Yay indeed.

As for the mother… I’m not touching that redemption arc. I’m still not forgiving how she treated JZ as a child, and no amount of present-day reconciliation will retroactively make that sit right with me. I said what I said.

Still, I am glad they reunited. I’m glad they reconnected. The ending delivered emotional closure, and while it doesn’t erase the earlier issues, it does soften the landing.

Tragic...

The fact that some people consider it normal for two persons who grew up as brothers to become lovers at some point in their lives, (In this series, in the ridiculous mind of the screenwriter, it is perfectly reasonable for a young woman to have sex with someone, when until a few days ago she saw him as a brother..I was creeped out by their love scenes..) as if there were no other people on the planet to choose as a life partner, makes it tragic and disgusting to me, and also sends the wrong messages to young people. Basically, this series has nothing positive to offer viewers, only greedy eyes looking through the keyhole to experience, even on tv, something different from normal in order to feel complete...

Unfortunately, as humanity, we have a serious orientation problem. Everything has collapsed. I will not comment on the acting of the cast because since the story is so bad and the screenwriter needs to be examined by a psychologist for the misery of his brain, there is no point in writing whether I liked the actors or not...

However, I want to point out something that made a negative impression on me. How old is the main FM actress of the series? Her behavior in the role she plays makes you believe that she is still at the childish and immature age of ten years old..Let her try as a professional at least to change her way of speaking and her stupidly childish expressions in acting..It doesn't make her cute but rather boring and fake...Anyway , good luck to the entire cast..I wish better choices in the future, because this series will be forgotten very quickly,..The only sure and positive thing!!!!

As for the chemistry of the couple, it is ZERO!! The director creates an illusion to attract the audience with the creepy and cheap script.

I do not recommend it to anyone, a waste of time and aesthetics !!!!!!

You love Smut? Steamy Scenes? Amazing chemistry? It's a must watch!

If you love smut, steamy scenes, great sexual tension and amazing chemistry Speed and Love will do all of that for you. Esther and He Yu's chemistry is out of the world. They are sexy, funny and cute. These two will definitely make you blush. They are a visual couple and play their roles well. Honestly He Yu really shines in this work! He played Jin Zhao perfectly. However, if you are into chemistry but plot is very important to you...this might make you have mixed feelings...

[Plot]
Jin Zhao is an adopted brother who was separated after the divorce. Forced apart from his non-blooded adored little sister Jiang Mu; Jin Zhao's childhood is crumbled making sacrifices for his adoptive family to barely survive in Thailand, forcing him to drop his education. After many years Jiang Mu searches out for her brother Jin Zhao...except they aren't so little anymore. She learns that he is no longer the boy he used to be; bright, positive, book smart, and optimistic; instead she is met with a dark, reserved, cold faced Jin Zhao. Jin Zhao lives a fiercely dangerous life to make ends meet, however, it is much more than that. Esther learns his deeper darker secret that may cost him his future.

[My thoughts w/ SPOILERS]
Esther plays a bright, naive, big-hearted character who really is faced with a lot of change from her beloved 'brother'. I understand them being able to gain romantic interest despite their past relationship as sibling like. They were torn apart young before romance begins to even bud. So to me that makes more sense, it's not like Dexter and Debra situation from Dexter. IYKYK. What grinded my gears was, they ran with the steamy plot for far too long and ignored the actual story line a bit. As soon as they were officially dating, they rushed the plot fast. The whole part with him working for an undercover cop to clear his name was brushed and glossed over. After the big race and he got into an accident they spent nearly two episodes of Jiang Mu in Canada trying to re-date other boys. After the accident, suddenly EVERYTHING about the very mysterious case was solved and Jin Zhao made amends with past foes. RUSHED. As much as I love steamy, good feel, kiss scenes...I also do enjoy a good plot and great character arch. I would say the only person who had a growth arch....was honestly He Zhang (side character villain). The rest stayed as they were. There isn't a big huge message the directors seemed to want to let the audience know either. So if you're just looking for a smutty drama to watch, it will satisfy you. If you are looking for character depth, story plot, and great pace this drama might not check all those boxes. But I cannot deny Esther and He Yu have one of the greatest chemistry in 2025 drama realm!

ALSO....their BG NPC actors really made me cringe...and puke. Because man ngl, those did kind of rob my brain in the worse way possible. LOL.

the chemistry is absolutely great!!!!!

the acting, the tension. I love it!!!❤️❤️❤️ sometimes I wonder if they r just acting. the storyline is great but the accident broke my heart 💔. 6 years!!! before they met!😭😭 im heartbroken. i really hope that it's a happy ending!!😭😭. I love their chemistry! the visuals. specially all the racing scenes. I hope jin Zhao can still continue to race after everything he's been through. I kinda miss the old, mysterious jin Zhao. but I'm really glad that he still lived a peaceful life after his accident. really hope they end up together. best modern drama of the year in my opinion. a MUST watch.

Nothing but a beautiful masterpiece

To say I love it would be an understatement. It's a beautiful drama that has the most amazing scenes of Thailand and the locations are amazing.

When it comes to the actors, Esther and He Yu were phenomenal with their acting. Having read the novel for this drama, I can assure you Esther and He Yu portrayed their respective characters really well! He Yu is an insane actor and he's improved so much since the last drama i saw of his. I would like to say personally, I think this drama was Esther's best performance to date.

Finally about the drama, the story was a little cut up in like (not sure) ep 21-22, maybe because of the censorship stuff but the drama itself is nothing less than a masterpiece. I absolutely loved it and they brought the novel to life in the most beautiful way possible. I wouldn't ask for anything else. I absolutely love love love it.

A drama that captures your heart!

Speed and Love is a super addictive drama that pulled me in from the very first episode. Starring Yu Shuxin as Jiang Mu and He Yu as Jin Zhao, the story is about two people whose lives separated in childhood due to a divorce and unexpectedly collide again years later. And don't you worry guys, the two main characters, Jiang Mu and Jin Zhao aren't siblings. They have no relationship between them expect that they lived together for a few years in their early lives.

One of the drama’s biggest strengths is that the racing scenes are thrilling and visually striking, giving the show a strong sense of momentum. Jiang Mu and Jin Zhao’s chemistry is incredibly compelling. Jin Zhao’s every gaze toward Jiang Mu gave me butterflies because of He Yu’s specially impressive performance of how much he conveys through his eyes alone.

Visually, the drama is stunning. The cinematography gives the story a cinematic feel. The soundtracks perfectly complements the mood, and they were great songs as well. The pacing keeps the story engaging and makes it incredibly hard to stop watching once you start.

Overall, Speed and Love is a drama that leaves you wanting so much more. With only 29 episodes, it feels so less. I could watch 100 episodes of this story without getting tired of it. This drama has become my favourite cdrama ever, and I cannot get enough of it. I've read the novel a few years before this was released and im so happy it didn't follow the novels plot where he lost his leg :( I'll really be devastated if that were to happen. I truly hope Yu Shuxin and He Yu collaborate again in the future, whether in a historical or modern drama, because their chemistry is unforgettable. I'm going to rewatch the drama and reread the novel again!

Saved by the chemistry

The casting and the chemistry between leads really saved this drama. They did their best with what they had, and ML did a great job acting.

The editing needed a lot of work. There were many inconsistencies in the storytelling along with a lot of scenes being cut that were brought up later, where they mention certain things happening that were cut out and never shown, making audiences question whether we missed something or if they forgot to include it.

Many small details like this could have been easily fixed by the production team but it seemed like they were either rushed on time or not detailed/careful enough.

Not the fault of the actors, but it's a shame that the editing inconsistencies brought down the quality and professionalism of the drama.

Overall, it was still a good watch as it's rare to have such chemistry in a drama. Still recommended if you're able to ignore the choppy editing and just focus on the feelings between the leads.

BIG SPOILERS!! EPISODE BY EPISODE THOUGHTS!

Dare I say one of the best modern dramas of all time? The tension, mutual understanding, and protective behavior between Jin Zhao and Jiang Mu are unmatched. Jin Zhao’s caring and playful side only emerges around Jiang Mu—his smiles, crinkling eyes, and quiet devotion rarely show for anyone else. They are opposites who fit perfectly. He knows what she needs before she even says a word.

He Yu and Yu Shuxin embodied these roles flawlessly. Their chemistry is undeniable, on-screen and off. Interviews and variety shows show their banter and shared energy. When I imagine Jin Zhao, I see He Yu; when I imagine Jiang Mu, I see Yu Shuxin. PLEASE 2ND COLLABORATION!

Jiang Mu is strong, independent, loyal, and loving. She never gives up, ultimately ensuring their happily ever after. A TikTok perfectly sums up Jin Zhao: “Having a boyfriend like Jin Zhao is not for the weak. He’s literally the standard. Husband material. He knows how to cook, has emotional intelligence, can protect you, spoil you, drive, manage time, box, race, fix things, is loyal, brave, strong, handsome, smart, and only yearns for you.” Perfectly said.

Episode 1:
The underground boxing club opening scene was 🔥🔥🔥. Jin Zhao and Jiang Mu’s tension is immediate, almost palpable through their glances. Even without dialogue, the way they watch each other, the subtle micro-expressions, sets up the connection instantly. That silent understanding is intoxicating—every glance seems to say, “I see you. I get you.”

Episode 3:
THE TENSION! Jin Zhao’s explanation of his struggles is raw and emotional. He Yu’s portrayal shows layers of strength and vulnerability. You feel his weight, and his protective instinct toward Jiang Mu starts to shine. You already know this is the beginning of something intense.

Episode 4:
“I only know the day that you came into this world.” Oversized shirt, hand on her stomach during cramps—he’s attentive and protective even when they’re only “siblings.” The tension of that touch, the way they avoid full acknowledgment, is electric.

Episode 5:
“You tried to smash my car and mess with my people.” His protective nature is so attractive. The garage scene after the ruckus—the way they look at each other—is intoxicating. He Yu driving without a stunt double, exuding confidence, perfectly captures Jin Zhao’s aura. His care isn’t just emotional—it’s kinetic, active, commanding attention.

Episode 6:
“My home is your home. With me there, no one can bully you.” The casual hand holding, reassurance, and ignoring Wan Jing’s advances show his unwavering focus on Jiang Mu. The peeling of the pig trotter for her is subtle, intimate caretaking that says “I see you, I know you.” Jin Zhao’s loyalty shines.

Episode 8:
Mumu searching his pockets—innocent, shameless, adorable. Jin Zhao melts whenever she calls him “Gege.” Allowing her to keep a dog at his place shows a gentle, protective side. Every small action proves how much he prioritizes her happiness.

Episode 9:
Apple-sharing scene—eye contact locked, shameless flirting. When he corners her and asks if she wants something to happen, it’s practically a confession. Dream sequences heighten tension. Yu Shuxin and He Yu sell the intensity perfectly, balancing innocence with emerging desire.

Episode 10:
Fully in love. Drawing Jiang Mu, thinking of her constantly. Hand-holding in the rain, matching smirks, subtle touches—they’re unignorable. You feel their heartbeat in every frame.

Episode 11:
Blowdrying her hair, listening to her sing 月亮代表我的心, laying heads together—trust and comfort are tangible. Jin Zhao’s gaze is completely hers. The poster-perfect scene solidifies their intimacy.

Episode 12:
Jin Zhao’s self-control with drunk Mumu. San Lai as matchmaker. Jin Zhao admits internally, “She doesn’t need to get in. She’s always been there.” The keychain with 朝思暮想, yearning day and night, is a perfect symbolic connection across distance and time.

Episode 13:
Jiang Mu as navigator shows complete trust. Drifting hearts gift demonstrates thoughtfulness. Accidental cheek kiss—pure joy. Jin Zhao’s lovestruck puppy expression adds humor and depth.

Episode 14:
Lean down, head pat, promises to care for her even after racing. Mumu initiates first kiss, signaling her agency in their relationship. Every gesture is meaningful.

Episode 15:
Rooftop kiss—he loses control. Second kiss stronger, hands intertwined, passion unrestrained. Hand-holding behind her back calms her. Stairwell hug—comforting and necessary. Red bean necklace and Up house fulfill childhood promises. Whipped cream moment—playful, tender, intimate.

Episode 16:
Blessed with kisses. Shirtless scene, pulling her in. Boat outfit perfect. Secret relationship scenes—covering dog’s eyes, jumping into ocean, hiding passion. Car scenes, rooftop kisses, and emotional hits—Yu Shuxin’s acting conveys heartbreak, longing, and restrained love.

Episode 17:
Car destroyed, yet Jin Zhao shields Mumu from stress. Calm, grounding voice. Gentle with her, strict with others. Protective instinct palpable, almost overwhelming.

Episode 18:
Smiles only for Mumu. Head-holding hug, dreams of café and dog. Pan Kai interruption—humorous. Fireworks kiss. LEGO reference. Lightning the dog—“their baby.” Deep emotional gaze while she sings—cinematic perfection.

Episode 19:
Aggressive kisses tempered by restraint. Shared bed revelation. Pre-race admiration. Accident panic—Yu Shuxin’s eyes convey fear, tension, relief. Careful gestures show devotion.

Episode 20:
Pre-surgery tears—reliving every moment. Separation hurts deeply, only cries around her. Rehab determination shows persistence. Emotional pull intensifies as Jin Zhao balances survival and love.

Episode 21:
Jiang Mu’s loyalty unparalleled. Coffee symbolism shows years of restraint. Both back in Nanjing, yearning peaks. Small glances and gestures pack emotional weight.

Episode 22:
Missed reunion—painful. Lightning’s return—heartwarming. Café perfectly matches her dreams: Moon drink, LEGO rocket. Reunion heartbreaking: defensive, mutual hurt, tears across café. Visuals cinematic, emotionally layered.

Episode 23:
Jiang Mu’s fake marriage plot—clever, humorous. Jin Zhao relief, protective instinct, subtle jealousy. Texts, listening to 月亮代表我的心, small interactions—intense love showcased without dialogue.

Episode 24:
Revelation scene. Jin Zhao restrained, IV drip accelerated. Classic lean-down, unspoken longing, raw emotion. Desire, care, and restraint merge into perfect tension.

Episode 25:
Kitchen scene: apron tied, playful smirk, tender teasing—they’re practically dating again. Jin Zhao pretends to act cold while peeling crabs, carefully feeding her when she drinks too much, watching over her with a mix of patience and intensity. Every glance and small gesture says “I see you, I’ve always been watching out for you.” Elevator kiss scene—heart-stopping, breathless, teetering between restraint and release. His whisper of 乖 (guai guai) while holding her close melts the tension. Sun and moon symbolism shows their eternal bond: he’s her constant, her protector, her equal. Their banter, touches, and secret smiles weave humor, intimacy, and raw emotion seamlessly. The chemistry is electric, but the love is deeply grounded.

Episode 26:
Officially back together. Head-holding hug returns, back hug intensifies the emotional intimacy. Jin Zhao’s jaw clenches, body tense with desire, yet controlled—he wants her completely but respects her space. Every move, glance, and whisper is deliberate, a testament to their trust. “I’m not a small child anymore.” Jiang Mu asserts herself, and he responds with reassurance, admiration, and playful dominance. Black dress scene—Jin Zhao shameless, captivated, gently teasing, showing that he’s entirely hers. Photo albums, shared collectibles, and past mementos evoke nostalgia and reaffirm how their love grew through shared history. Subtle touches—hand on back, guiding gaze, tiny smiles—reiterate that every moment is layered with affection, memory, and promise.

Episode 27:
Couch scene: the intimacy is electric. Soft teasing, playful interruptions, whispered confessions, lingering touches, and subtle glances heighten the romantic tension. Jin Zhao’s protective instincts are visible in small acts: adjusting her hair, brushing off crumbs, ensuring she’s comfortable. The way he engages with friends like San Lai and Crazy shows growth, maturity, and loyalty—they’re a chosen family, protective yet relaxed. BTS reveals He Yu and Yu Shuxin’s chemistry isn’t just scripted; it’s palpable and effortless. Jin Zhao visiting Mumu at the airport with the keychain she treasures shows that every small gesture carries years of meaning and dedication.

Episode 28:
Mike third-wheel humor adds levity, but Jin Zhao’s focus never wavers. He sacrifices racing, confronts his fears and PTSD, all for her safety and happiness. His words, “Two hearts defying wind and rain together, resisting a broken life,” are poetic yet perfectly encapsulate their journey. Head-holding hug: protective, intimate, grounding. Emotional honesty with Jiang Mu’s mother shows bravery, respect, and true commitment. Every glance, gentle push, and teasing smile signals a love that is strong, unshakable, and matured by trials. The stakes are high, yet their connection remains unbreakable, emphasizing devotion over drama.

Episode 29:
Reconciliation with her mother is emotionally profound—first parental hug for Jin Zhao, symbolizing acceptance and validation. Quiet proposal, ring on keychain, intimate and symbolic—no grandeur needed because their relationship is built on depth, history, and understanding. Elopement feels perfect: carefree yet emotionally complete, mirroring their personalities and journey. Jin Zhao’s devotion is evident in his patience, bravery, and willingness to create a life with Jiang Mu against all odds. Shared dreams, mutual respect, whispered promises, and lingering touches make this payoff both satisfying and cathartic. The ending emphasizes love as a daily choice, a partnership grounded in trust, protection, playfulness, and enduring passion. Their journey is now complete—emotionally, physically, and symbolically.

The chemistry and the emotions had me omg and the green flag characters

First of all, i don't write reviews often. I only write those for dramas that I geniunely love or dramas that i just don't like. So for me to write a review on this drama is a big deal even for me. ALL of my favorites that i have rewatched so many times i haven't even written a review for them but this drama was insane. Jin Zhao---he is the kind of guy every girl dreams of---he knows how to treat his woman right, become the kind of man she needs and even letting her go to prevent her from suffering. That man omg i can't even tell you, he was so gentle and kind and loving and caring just for her. I can't explain the amount of times i wanted to climb into my screen and hug that guy. I love everything about him. Jiang Mu----she is also such a green flag. After their breakup she waited 6 years for him---i mean c'mon she loves him way too much just the way he does. Both of them were the kind of couple that have understanding between them. I loved every second of this drama. Its like both of them fell at the same time and harder for each other the same way. I don't know how to move on from this masterpiece. I am definitely rewatching this as soon as possible.
