Iwai Hanako came back to her hometown of Niihama five years ago, having departed from a restaurant in Tokyo. Acting as a stand-in for her sister, Haruko, who abruptly set off for overseas studies, Hanako now takes care of the seaside café. Despite having a friendly and outgoing sister, Hanako struggles with having an awkward personality, making it a challenge to establish connections with regular customers. One day, a foreign traveler named Niham, who was curious about a town with a name similar to his own, visits the café.
