Performing Hiroshima (2023)

An omnibus film consists of four stories, each directed by a different director, and explores various aspects of Hiroshima. >> Story 1: "A Window With No Name" (しるしのない窓へ) Directed by Mima Akihiro (三間旭浩), the story follows a woman living in an apartment with her partner as she collaborates on poetry with her friend by the river. >> Story 2: "Represent Hiroshima with Hiroe" (ヒロエさんと広島を上演する) The second story, directed by Yamada Saki (山田咲), features a woman who was exposed to radiation in her mother's womb during the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, speaking to the camera. >> Story 3: "Till the End of the Dream" (夢の涯てまで) The third part, directed by Kusano Natsuka (草野なつか), depicts a woman who has lost someone important, coping with loss while living her daily life. >> Story 4: "No Matter Where" (それがどこであっても) The final tale by Endo Mikihito (遠藤幹大) follows a theater group rehearsing a play about Hiroshima, with a hearing-impaired young man participating as a sound engineer.
