Five Stars

This is one of the best and most mature characters I've seen in a C-drama in a long time. Esther yu SHuxin completely owned the role and handled every aspect of it so well. The character feels layered, realistic, and emotionally engaging, and that's a huge reason why the story works. The writing is strong, the character development is meaningful, and the drama doesn't rely on the usual clichés to keep viewers interested.

Football is FUN ⚽️

**contains spoilers

Lin Wan Xing is unhinged. The episode literally started with her yelling, "Idiot referee!" Even the boys were startled, and not Wang Fa smiling to himself 🤚

I can't believe I actually teared up when they scored that goal. These kids are really growing on me 😭 And please, Wan Xing calling Wang Fa "QR Code" was so funny. He deserved it, tho.

That restaurant scene had me feeling bad for Wan Xing's wallet, I swear her entire salary is going to feeding these boys. I was also pleasantly surprised to see Victor Ma!

And the bathtub scene..... Jing Ke is so manly, I—

real story starts

episode 3 is where the show truly proves its narrative muscle with brilliantly executed pacing. Rather than stalling or falling into predictable, slow-burn sports drama filler, the third episode balances structural plot progression with an organic character growth. It propels the setup forward at an active clip, efficiently solidifying the foundational goals of the underdog football team without making their journey feel rushed or unearned.
