The leading ladies of both dramas face forgotten love and abandoned dreams due to their memory loss. Unmet A Neurosurgeon's Diary is a mystery medical drama with female point of view, and it shows FL's journey to recovery more realistically. But the sentiments and angst of the ML are depicted as beautifully. The storytelling has a different approach, but the visual quality is on par with movies.

So similar!!

Both include female lead who has memory loss and have to remind themselves that everyday about their past.

Male lead of Devilish Joy has the exact same condition as female lead of Unmet. They both have their memory limited to one day, and leave notes to help themselves when they awake the next day with no memory. They also cannot remember knowing their romantic lead prior to the accident that caused the daily memory loss issue.

Hospital setting, female leads are medical staff that face discrimination in the workplace due to their own health issues. Both also feature a healing romance arc with a coworker.

Hospital setting. Doctor male lead who is cold/reserved in personality, desperate to save female lead from their medical issues.

I've not seen the Korean Good Doctor but I know it's plot from the American remake. Lead characters are judged and the conversation of whether or not they should be allowed to perform surgery with their conditions is a prominent theme.

There's not much plot similarity, but the two dramas are closer in terms of their "vibes" (especially with how they combine food and healing, and with the warmth in their "patient stories"). In Unmet, both the episodic stories and the major plotline have been given a more delicate, realistic (and yet, more optimistic) treatment with beautiful storytelling. In my opinion, Unmet is not so much a mystery as it is a human drama/ romance (and a VERY GOOD one at that). I hope this helps anyone interested in watching Unmet with what to expect from it.

A slightly similar premise with a top doctor who has turned into a nurse aide because of trauma.
Both have a mystery, hospital politics and a bit of romance, but Unmet is much more serious.
