Treemek wasn't born into a life of misery; he did not carry any inferiority complex that compelled him to stand out. On the contrary, he had everything, yet having "everything" led the young man to live recklessly, ultimately earning him the label of 'the convict.' He burned and destroyed the lives of everyone who loved him, and on the day he gained physical freedom, his mind was ensnared tightly by guilt. Jankapho saw this world as a beautiful place, viewing everything positively to the point of sometimes becoming an easy target. Yet, she never lost hope in focusing on the brighter side of life. When she stepped into the fragmented family of Treemek, she felt a mix of courage and fear towards the rough, wild young man, accompanied by an elderly aunt and a poor little child. He was the very definition of the man her father had warned her to keep her distance from. Part of her wanted to do just that, but another part yearned to conquer his roughness, to show the man who always viewed the world with a scowl that there were beautiful aspects of life to behold. Yet, unbeknownst to her, those fierce, piercing eyes were fixated on her unwaveringly. As she dared to shine her flickering light into the dark heart of this stormy cloud, he would envelop her, drawing close, trapping her so she could not escape into the shadows again.
