I watched this after getting a TikTok about it. I just finished the 6 episode drama, and honestly, it was just a drama to watch if your bored. This isn't something that will have you hooked or get in your feelings, it was just there. My main issue with this show was the female lead's acting. In my opinion, she seemed very emotionless and too quiet. She didn't have many expressions, and seemed sort of awkward at times.Was this review helpful to you?

this show was suggested to me via tiktok and the edits had made it to different platforms such as tiktok, xhs and more. enabling a lot more people knowing this show.this show is like arranged marriage with childhood friend and happened so mutual liking or the ml likes the fl but she doesn't know.
the rating does not do it justice but i really enjoyed the show. that's because it is light and fluffy. like i can understand why the female lead acts that way. generally because, they got married without dating so there was a barrier between them that she felt a line that cannot be crossed. but slowly yet surely, she has gotten more comfortable and realized that she should support how he supported her. and the male lead being 100% devoted to her, would take chances to kiss her, treat her well and support her no matter what.
you can say that the plot is thin but sometimes we need those shows that do not have deep plots. these kind of shows are rare these days because i felt like a lot of shows require brain power these days. if you are looking for shows that brain power are not needed but endless fluff, then this show is for you.
other than unless fluff, i liked that there was no love triangles and they would support each other no matter what. i feel like they had established that both of them are each other's support system since young without realizing it. and the shots are so pretty!
some of my favourite scenes are they sharing one bathtub and how yukito apply the cream for io's wound. i also like it when yukito wears his glasses and his watch HAHAHA (part of the reason why i watched it in the first place). + many hawt or fluffy scenes that i can get diabetes from!
this show is short yet simple. it is sad that it is short where it could be longer for more development and fluff! but happy because there is no time for complex and unwrappable conflicts.
anyways, i sincerely recommend to those who wants to have a short watch filled with fluff and love! <33

Fluff and candy
Earlier today, I came upon two reviews for this drama, two reviews with completely opposite take on it i.e. one loved it while the other one found it boring. I did not need more in order to watch it and form my own opinion. Which is between the two: it was not boring but rather superficial, not great but mercifully short, easy to watch and they did not waste time on silly subplots and even sillier misunderstandings between the leads.But firstly, I would like to thank @Nicksden for the subs and for the explanatory notes!
The story follows childhood acquaintances: japanese inn owner's son and the inn's chef's daughter. They fall for each other as kids but their respective social status forbids them from any closer contact. Until, one evening, he accompanies her home and is seen leaving so a scandal breaks out and he takes the opportunity to offer to marry her and at the same time escaping an arranged marriage. And all of this is only the first episode. Out of six: the next five episodes are a bit slower as they deal with them getting to know each other and dating while newly-weds.
It is a cute, short drama. The leads are nice and as usual there are not mean or evil characters. Well I guess a shoujo manga is for romantic young girls. Everyone is nice: when he overhears rumours about his marriage being fake, he acts upon it immediately and takes her out on a date. There are a couple of "suspenseful" moments: a test meal for her and the visit from the estranged brother for him but even those are sorted out in the same episode they appear.
The plot is not very complicated but I would not go as far and say, as they did in the comments on the drama's page, that it was "an excuse to have hot people kiss a lot and be cute together. they wrote the plot around that ?". I wish they did that because if you are looking for hot people kissing, you should look elsewhere! There is a grand total of 4 chaste (=fish) kisses and a bit of skin (ankle, leg, shoulder: him in the shower and one make out scene!) shown throughout the drama with the consummation of marriage left for the last minute of the last episode and under the final credits. I usually do not care about these scenes but I read the comment before I watched this so I paid attention and looked actively for hot people kissing.
There was one thing I absolutely hated in this drama but which is something frequently seen in asian dramas so I guess it must be cultural: women falling over and screaming when they see a handsome man go by. It is the ultimate cringe moment for me! I know that asian cultures put a huge stress on appearance and that the beauty is the most important asset one can have but I am finding it difficult to understand this kind superficiality within such rich cultures.
I did not like the cinematography very much: I watched the first episode in high quality and it was too sharp, to clear and eventually too cold! Other episodes looked better, a bit softer but maybe the video quality was lower too. I don't know but it made me realize that I prefer when the images are fuzzy, not too sharp because it gives the drama (or a film) a dreamy feel and it becomes a vector for our escape from reality. And that's what the entertainment is supposed to be in my book!
One more important thing: I want those star shaped candies. They look so pretty and yummy!
In the recommendation section on this drama's page, you will find two dramas with the similar plot but a lot heavier if you do not enjoy light and fluffy! This one is a perfect Sunday watch: short, sweet, cute and short!
The main actor was a support actor in Utsukushii Kare (and he gave me a severe SLS) and I couldn't help being reminded of that drama every time I watched the intro here because there were yellow bath ducks in it. Did they do it on purpose, or were there yellow ducks in the original manga for this drama too, I wonder?

For those younger, young-at-heart or want cute fluffiness while relaxing your brain
Subjective Gut Rating: 6.75This is a simple, cute, and fluffy drama that doesn’t require a lot of brain power. The drama is really short with only 6 episodes and each is less than 25 minutes long. And because of that, not a lot of time is devoted to each subplot. The romance happens fast and furious (in a cute way). The challenges the leads face as a couple and in business are simple and easily involved. The last arc with the brother probably took the most screen time. Even in typical Japanese speedy fashion in storytelling, I still feel everything is rushed.
The romance is cute and with no angst or misunderstanding at all. MLis a combination of a green flag and a red flag. He’s adored by all due to his handsome looks and mild-mannered and polite personality. He’s not afraid to show his affection to FL. However, he’s also possessive, overprotective and gets jealous easily. In the world of drama/manga/anime for the younger audience, these red flags are probably all considered romantic green flags. I am just a tad old to be totally absorbed into this romantic fluffiness. FL is sweet and shy but not much of a pushover (thank goodness). The acting of both leads is pretty good. I enjoy the more natural acting instead of the overly dramatic anime-like acting.
I probably would enjoy this more if I were a teenage girl. You will probably enjoy it if you are younger than me, or young-at-heart. I chose this drama to relax my brain and have some mindless fun….and I achieved this goal. But objectively, this drama is very average.

eu gostei dessa história.primeiro ponto onde foi diferente dos outros Jdramas que assisti. não foi amor repentino.
foi um amor construído desde a infância. o respeito e cumplicidade entre o casal é muito bacana.
uma história onde ambos se apoiam e se ajudam a superar as dificuldades traumas e desafios da vida.
amei o fato de mesmo ele não gostando da ideia do lugar onde ela queria trabalhar, mas por amar ela ele aceitou e respeitou a decisão dela. uma história sem toxicidade.muito bom recomendo

Lovely
"Kahogona Wakadanna-sama no Amayakashi Kon" is one of the best J-dramas I've seen. It’s a lovely series where everything is just perfect – the acting, story, and background are all exceptional. The intense acting kept me completely engrossed in the lead characters' relationship. The male lead portrayed emotions like jealousy, romance, sadness, and happiness so flawlessly that I felt deeply connected to his character. Despite having a simple story with only a few characters and limited settings, the drama never became boring, not even for a second. I believe this is largely due to the outstanding performances of the actors. Although the story didn't have any major "wow" elements, it was still captivating. For those who enjoy love stories,I highly recommend it.It’s a love story centered around a boy and a girl.

Light, old school kind of Japanese drama.
Finish it in one sit.FL other side only come out on the last 2 episodes while them ML showed more from episode 1. A very light drama without too many conflict, obviously because of the limited episode and one episode only last for less than 30 minutes. The thing I really like about this drama is the way they communicate. Not to cringey or too emotional. The scene when the characters raised their voices however is somehow unbearable because it's really looked awkward. Has sweet moments in every episode, just enough to get you through the whole episode. Both FL and ML are green flag, but not tooooooo perfect, to the point making me believe that such people do exist in real life as many drama nowadays tend to portray a very perfect green flag ML (most of the time). Overall, this kind of drama is a drama you can just sit and enjoy it after a hectic day.

Not Good Enough
Japanese Drama '' Kahogona Wakadanna-sama no Amayakashi Kon '' is a romantic melodrama.The short length of the drama means that the story moves too fast. Thus, the love story had a messy pace and used some cheesy cliches to cover that up.
On the bright side, there were some cute moments between the couple, and the main character's journey to make her culinary dreams come true was interesting and it would have been nice if they had focused more on that part.
Finally, the performances from everyone in the cast were enjoyable.
So, overall, five out of ten.

Pues a mi me encanto la historia, y las actuaciones me parecieron muy buenas....sé que puede parecer un poco chocante la manera de actuar de los personajes, en algunos momentos, sobre todo en la primera parte en cuanto a la manera de actuar, de interrelacionarse entre ellos, en la intimidad, etc. pero si somos personas que estamos acostumbradas a ver muchas series asiáticas, es comprensible...y en mi humilde opinión, precisamente en eso radica uno de sus mayores encantos...es decir, la manera en que ellos expresan sus sentimientos, sus emociones dista mucho de la forma en que lo hacemos en occidente... y yo lo veo como algo muy tierno, emocionante y encantador...aunque no dejo de reconocer que no todo es color de rosas...pero en honor a la verdad me gustó muchísimo la forma en que lo ponen de manifiesto en la serie...así como ver, paso a paso todo el proceso de crecimiento que van teniendo entre ellos a lo largo de la misma, es decir, a medida que se van conociendo más, logran una mayor compenetración, mayor acercamiento, intimidad entre ellos...y eso es algo hermoso digno de destacar....sobre todo en estos tiempos en que lo que abunda fundamentalmente es la superficialidad, que no se tomen en cuenta los sentimientos y que lo que importe sea solo satisfacer los deseos...por eso se los recomiendo a todos, pues muestra de una manera muy dulce, tierna y cariñosa el proceso de auto-conocimiento y auto-descubrimiento entre parejas de matrimonios jóvenes...algo tristemente casi olvidado en nuestro mundo de hoyWas this review helpful to you?
