!!!!System Error!!!!

I placed spoilers at the end of this review.

I know this will be an unpopular opinion, but there is just something off about this series. I went in with high hopes because Anti Rest was one of my favorite sections out of the compilation series. Although the story concept seemed interesting, the script seems very underdeveloped. It did not do a good job setting up the story premise or introducing the characters. It also tried to introduce one to many storylines in the first few episodes. The storyline with the main couple seems very rushed and not quite right from the very beginning of episode 1. The acting from most of the cast was good, but not outstanding. On a positive note, it had good cinematography, graphics, and cute opening credits.

Random Notes:

There was a hint of side BL couple but it’s a case of too little, too late. I found myself not fully invested in the series to continue.

******Spoiler Alert******

They do not fully explain Ever 4 past about advocating for robot rights. If they gave a little more backstory from the beginning, maybe I would have been more interested in the character. I need more than a good-looking actor to get me invested in the character/storyline.

A ROBOT AND A HUMAN CUTE LOVE

A robot and human in a relationship? Sounds impossible, but honestly, it's a fresh concept for me, this is the first time I’ve watched something like this. I’ll admit, the first episode didn’t really hook me. It felt kind of slow, but after that, it just clicked.

✅ Episode 2: That fake argument between the girl and her boyfriend at the club? Totally cracked me up 😂

✅ I couldn’t stop giggling when the robot called Bu Shi “baby” after they kissed. Such a flirty little bot.

✅ Bu Shi, though… he can be so annoying sometimes with his constant mood swings. Like, bro, are you 12 years old? He’s hard to read.

✅ The kidnapping scene was kinda lame ngl, and then bam, Ever 4 shows up right away to save the day 😂

Even though Ever 4 is a robot, he’s basically a whole green forest. He even went out and found a job just to support his spoiled brat young master. Gotta love that about him.

I get where Bu Shi’s coming from emotionally, but man, his attitude doesn’t always make sense. One minute he’s all sweet to Ever 4, and the next he’s cold and always sulking.

That said, the main leads are solid actors, especially the one who plays Bu Shi. He honestly gets on my nerves, which probably means he’s doing a good job, lol.

The chemistry between the leads is okay, not exactly fire, and yeah, you can definitely tell there’s an age gap. But the side couple? Super cute and have great chemistry. As for the dad’s acting, it's kinda cringey. The production value isn’t the best, the audio's weak. I noticed the same house and club set from See Your Love. 😅 Also, the visuals in Taiwanese BLs are usually not that polished which I often noticed.

The ending makes me really smiled because of their lovey dovey moments. And finally, I can see Bu Shi's maturity. 😂

There were noticeable plot holes in this series, but still I really enjoyed it. Eternal Butler is a lighthearted romance with a good dose of comedy. Even though one of the characters complains a lot, the series is cute overall.

My daughter, if you can hear me, I knew you would return as well

Sorry, I love FNAF, and I think this is a pretty good headline. I finished this a long time ago, and I'm actually on my second rewatch. This show is phenomenal, and just watch it. I would give it an 8.9 out of 10, and let's get into what I liked, what I didn't like, and then an overview.

Okay, so starting off strong, I like this one so much more than the other one because they did the robot shit better in my opinion. I think the dynamic was better because it was less of a power dynamic. While I do still think it had one, they did it pretty well. These two have good chemistry, and they are both very good-looking. The guy who played the spoiled brat really brought his character to life, and overall, I think his character was very well written, and it did have some shortcomings, but the good things genuinely outweigh the bad by so much. Maybe it's because I love insufferable brat characters, but his character was so much fun, and I like how they actually gave his character dimension and not just a brat to be a brat. This show was actually very good. And I also like how it's a money can't buy happiness kind of story because with his mom dying and he blames himself and no one being able to "tame" him or take care of him, even though in reality he's just a kid who misses his mom and needs attention that no one will ever give to him. Good character writing. Okay, Robot butler, Jesus Christ, y'all have no idea how obsessed with this trope I am now. I can't lie, AI scares the fuck out of me, but if I could have a sexy robot bodyguard that breaks his code for me, well, shitttt. I think they cast the right guy for this because he genuinely has such a robotic-looking face, even when he shows emotion. I also love that he was so freaky lmao, it was so fun, and he didn't even know he was doing that. Good character writing as well, he is programmed to not really feel anything, but he is breaking his code and what he is set to do to get that cookie, and I respect it. Yeah, I think the plot was just meh, but not bad nor good, but it was cool. Yeah, that's all I can think of right now. OH. I liked the connections to anti-reset, even though I think this was the superior one. I liked how the robots were friends and talking, that was fun.

I didn't really like the side couple, especially at the start. They were pretty forgettable and just took time away from the main couple. I did like the friend, but him being in a couple was just meh. I also didn't like the dad's character. I think it was poorly written, I can't even lie, like bro no one gafs about you, you are just doing the same shit over and over again and expect me to fall for it every time? Nope, think again. I thought the romance building was just okay, I dont hate it, but I dont really love it. I think they could have worked on it a little more at the start because I feel like they jumped the gun a little bit. Yeah, I am indifferent about the plot, I can't lie. But that is all I can think of right now. Okay, the whole kidnapping thing, I didn't remember that, but it was just like what? Tell him and stop fucking around, like how hard is that you are mother fucking robot? Everything with that just pissed me off, I can't lie. Running around in circles for genuinely no reason besides the love of the fucking game.

Overview time, and I am gonna find more things I didn't like because that's not a lot lmao. "Mid-ass acting, but I'm already having fun. Why is the teacher bad as fuck? The guy playing the robot and his dull eyes eat. This shit can't be real. What is he, a sex robot?" He is so not, and I don't know why I thought that, but it was a pretty good start. Also, the acting was good. I do not know what I was on about. This show was so fun. "That’s the dream, taking shots at a birthday party you don’t wanna be at." This scene was so irrelevant, but genuinely so important at the same time, and I loved it so much. "Fire sex scene. I am low-key messing with the show heavily right now, and I don’t know why it’s not very good, but it is very good. Like, hear me out." This was so addicting. "This feels very dystopian." "Brother, you are about to get reset." Lmao. "If you hit someone with a machete to the back and they stand up and they turn around and they look at you run, run as fast as you can." He is a man before he is a robot, very interesting to think about. "This is actually a really good show."

All of my episode reviews were genuinely incoherent, and I have no idea why lmao. This was a fun watch, and I finished it in a day (ignoring the fact that it is now December and I finished this in April, but at least I am writing a review). Watch it. Okay bye!

So-so

Was anti reset that successful that they made another mediocre drama with the same concept, I mean I know the fairytale love is a thing and why not fall for a robot if you can fall for a vampire and all is good, but I'm talking quality-wise it's not the best.

If you have to redo an idea you kinda have to make it better or different maybe, more interesting but nope.

This was slightly boring, literally nothing is happening just the two leads spending time together and that's it.

Nothing to write home about, but if you are into this new type of robot-love BL then Go ahead, I wouldn't necessarily recommend it but it was an okay watch.

Eternal Butler — When Sci-Fi Asks the Questions Love Already Knows

What made me truly happy with Eternal Butler is that it does not feel like a random spin-off. It feels like a natural continuation of the world introduced in Anti Reset. Seeing the same cast return in roles that still make sense inside this expanding universe gave me the feeling that this is not just another BL, but a connected sci-fi narrative — one that now includes ghosts, technology, and artificial life. It is playful, emotional, and quietly thought-provoking.

Sci-Fi, But Make It Queer

Most science-fiction romances are heterosexual by default. Eternal Butler breaks that reflex — not by forcing it, but by making it feel logical. If a robot is not designed to reproduce, what does “male” or “female” even mean? If love is emotional and not biological, why should gender matter at all? This drama uses sci-fi to ask questions society still avoids. And that is what makes it meaningful beyond its cute surface.

A World That Keeps Growing

From Stay By My Side (with its ghosts) to Anti Reset (with identity and memory) and now Eternal Butler (with artificial beings), this universe keeps layering themes of:
- What defines a person
- What survives beyond the body
- What love recognizes when everything else disappears
It is not new, but it is rare; especially in BL.

What I Wanted More Of

The only thing I truly missed was more action. The father figure feels like someone dangerous, almost criminal, and I expected the story to lean harder into that tension. More physical conflict could have added urgency. But that would also have shifted the tone too far from Anti Reset’s emotional core, so I understand the choice.

Final Thought

Eternal Butler is soft sci-fi with a brave heart. It doesn’t shout. It questions. And maybe one day, this universe will finally give us the full action sci-fi BL it’s quietly preparing us for.

Robot konulu her şeyi izlerim. Dizi bok gibi ama içinde robot varsa bende varım. Ve Asya dizilerinde güzel robot dizisi yok. Açlığımı bir şekilde gidermek zorundayım. Bu dizi bir seri olacakmış hatta. Artık her dizisini eleştirecez bakalım.
