Unwrap the Laughs
This Thai remake of Marry Your Dead Body definitely lives up to the original. While there are a few changes in the remake, it stays true to the essence of the story. Whether you watch this version or the Taiwanese one, you’ll find yourself laughing at both.My favorite scene has to be when the main character gets possessed by his ghost husband. He ends up running naked through the streets and performing a full-on music video while pole dancing. That part was by far the best.

They did it. :D
What I thought of the series: I have seen the original film and liked it very much so I had high expectations for this film. Then Billkin and PP had the lead roles which was a plus. Yep, they made the film well. I am glad I saw it.#BillkinPPkritt

So Angsty.
Love how they handled Titi ex boyfriend, that guy is A hole, Bk and PP are such an amazing actors, can't stop laughing, because comedy is so good. The true strength of The Red Envelope lies in its ability to evoke a wide range of emotions. It's a film that genuinely makes you laugh and cry, often within the same scene. The moments of shared happiness and playful banter are just as powerful as the scenes of quiet sorrow. This emotional roller coaster is a testament to the script's sincerity and, most importantly, the actors’ skill in portraying a full spectrum of human experience. Through their performances, the film becomes a heartfelt and unforgettable cinematic experience. Was this review helpful to you?

I watched both version. If you didn't watch the original story:
I think you can like it. It's fun and easy to watch. PP and Bilkin are great actors so obviously it's good. PP and Bilkin's characters are touching and funny.
If you did watch the original story:
I don't think you will hate it, but it's obvioulsy different. The main difference is the lack of developpement of the support character. Which make it hard to get as much as emotionnal as in the original story, for the dad/son relationship. In the original story, the dad show some care for the son throughout story, here he just show care in one sentence at the begining and only at the end.
+ It's not funny to see the only fat character loving so much food. Like.. Please fat people aren't just here to be mocked.

Surrender.
First of all, we know Billkinpp is both such a good actor like ever since Itsay they're both talented, And this movie is adapted from "Marry my dead body" It's a Taiwan bl movie (that's what I can recall)-The story started off Funny LIKE EXTREMELY FUNNY, The way Billkin can do scenes like that and ATE.
-Maybe don't watch it with your family, There's some scenes that might be approved by your parents (FIRST OF ALL, WHO WOULD DO THAT)
-The ending:
It's kinda a reasonable ending but the Ambulance scene really did the tears for me
CAUSE WHAT DO YOU MEAN
"I'm talking to my wife" WHEN YOU HATED *HIM* ON THE FIRST PLACE AND DIDNT EVEN WANT TO GET MARRIED TO HIM
-Ost:
I really don't mind Ost's especially if the series is good, But if the series isn't good, Man I would hope the ost will save it and for this Movie I could tell you, I easily get bored on bl's especially when I already watched like 150+ bl's and rn I give bl's only one second to impress me.
-I personally like Angst so if you like Angst, Action and like the secret caring idk man, I'm bad at words but yeah RECOMMENDED

I really enjoyed Marry My Dead Body, but the Thai version was even funnier and way queerer than the original. I absolutely loved it. It managed to balance vulnerability, complexity, and genuine laughs while smartly exploring themes like identity, sexuality, acceptance, and unfair social norms.
Even though some scenes are hilarious, it’s not just a comedy. At its core, it’s a human drama with surprisingly moving and profound moments that made me cry, get angry, and reflect on a lot of things. Meen and Titi are forced to face realities neither of them wanted, and in doing so, they form a deeply intimate connection. In many ways, they’re true soulmates.
But the real scene-stealer is Titi’s grandmother, Piyamas. She’s always been his rock, his biggest supporter, his fiercest ally. Her love for him is unconditional. Two of my favorite moments are when Titi finally understands the reasons behind his father’s actions, and when Meen builds a deep bond with Titi’s father and grandmother, who welcome him as part of the family.
The whole cast delivers solid performances, but Billkin and PP completely own every scene they’re in, whether together or apart. They’re both outstanding actors, and I’d love to see them on screen more often. On top of that, their chemistry is exceptional. There’s a rare kind of synchronicity, honesty, and affinity between them that makes all their characters unforgettable. Highly recommended.

Who gave them the permission to make a movie this good?
I don't usually write reviews this positive but I genuinely think that this movie is perfect. It has great pacing, the comedy is impeccable, it is beautifully shot and the acting is just off the charts. And the writers of the movies absolutely deserve some kind of award! It balances the sadness of this situation with the comedy of it perfectly. This is definetly worth not only a watch but also a rewatch. And for me personally it is definitely on my "Best movies of all time"-list.Was this review helpful to you?
Cute but a bit too silly
Genuinely started crying at the very last after the bloopers oh my god they’re married in their next life which is what I said half way through the film btw!! not a bad movie by any means but I do think the og took its self more seriously while still managing to be funny, not a bad thing that this one was silly but im result there was some substance missing yk, like for example whil Menn/Han Ming’s homophobia was something broken down throughout the movie here it was something that just resolved it self at the endWas this review helpful to you?
Billkin & PP Deliver Again ❣️
This movie is absolutely hilarious and surprisingly beautiful too. I was laughing from start to finish! Even though it’s a comedy, it has emotional depth and doesn’t feel shallow at all. I didn’t watch the original version since I usually stick with Thai shows, so I can’t really compare the two.Let’s talk about the characters:
Billkin as Menn – He plays a straight guy who works as an undercover cop, but he’s terrible at it. Every mission turns into a disaster, and his boss is constantly yelling at him. Basically, he’s a walking bad-luck magnet. One day, while walking in the park, he sees a red envelope and thinks it’s an angpao (a money envelope), so he picks it up. That moment completely changes his life.
PP as Titi – His character is clearly a hopeless romantic. He is an openly gay and used to have a boyfriend, but sadly, the guy was just using him—for a condo, gifts, and who knows what else. Titi dreamed of getting married one day, but that all ended after his accident. To make it worse, his ex was basically scamming him the whole time.
I won’t go into too much detail about their story to avoid spoilers. Some people say it’s a BL, but honestly, I didn’t really feel any romantic connection between Menn and Titi. It felt more like a deep friendship or even a family-like bond. We never really find out if Menn still has any family, since he’s shown living alone. But what I really love is how he finds comfort and a sense of belonging with Titi’s family. His dad and grandma treat Menn like he’s one of their own, and that warmth really stood out to me. Although, I don't feel any romantic connection between Menn and Titi, the movie kept me entertained the whole time, and I liked how it ended—it felt realistic. No reincarnation or magical twist.
Acting-wise, everyone delivered their roles well especially Billkin who can't just play a serious role but he's definitely a versatile actor. The production value is also solid, you can tell they really put effort into it. The color grading was great, as well as the OST.

Quasi meglio dell'originale.
