This pulled me in more than I was expecting and didn't let go
This popped up while I was looking for my next Netflix watch. I loved BKPP in I Told Sunset About You—the acting was incredible, and their chemistry was almost unbearable in that series.I haven’t seen the Taiwanese original of this one, so I didn’t know what to expect, but it ended up being a really satisfying watch. The comedy worked well, with strong timing and natural chemistry, and the drama hit the right emotional notes without feeling overdone. I especially enjoyed watching the gradual warmth develop in their relationship. Grandma was a standout and added a lot of heart.
The story included a few twists, but nothing felt out of sync. Even when I knew what was coming, the emotional moments still landed because of how thoughtfully they were handled (and the acting).
I enjoyed this from start to finish, and no scene felt wasted. Highly recommend. I’m only taking off half a star because it came a little too close to body‑shaming one character, which stood out in an otherwise enjoyable film.

I was really impressed by PP and Billkin’s performances, especially PP’s. His eyes are so expressive and full of emotion. I was also surprised to see Khun Ter, Khun Krating, and Khun James Ji making cameo appearances.The chemistry between PP and Billkin was also amazing. They both brought so much emotion to their characters, and I really enjoyed watching their scenes together. The acting felt very natural and convincing, especially in the more emotional moments.

The movie was so funny, chaotic, and surprisingly unpredictable. There were so many moments when I was just sitting there like, “Bro… DAMNNN, what is happening?!” 😭 I genuinely didn't expect some of the twists and situations.
And BILLKIN??? 😭 Bro is ridiculously cute and funny. His expressions, reactions, and comedic timing had me laughing so much. PP was amazing too, and I really liked how naturally they played off each other.
What I especially liked was that the movie wasn't just comedy for the sake of comedy. It had some genuinely touching moments underneath all the chaos, which made the characters and their journey more enjoyable.
Overall, The Red Envelope was such a fun, hilarious, chaotic, and surprisingly heartwarming watch. I went in expecting a good time and definitely got one.❤️

Assistam, é o meu conselho, mesmo para quem particularmente não é fã de produções sobre reencarnação ou mudança de corpo, fui estimulada a assistir por causa da participação do Billkin e do PP Krit, pois são sinônimo de qualidade, deram um show digno de palmas, fiquei mais apaixonada por eles. Tudo nesse filme é maravilhoso, não deve em nada ao roteiro original taiwanês, o qual vale muito a pena assistir, quase rachei de tanto rir na cena de pole dance e muitas outras. O roteiro também mostra alguns assuntos importantes e delicados onde não foi possível conter as lágrimas, e que me levaram a refletir sobre vários assuntos, fala da nossa finitude e da fragilidade da vida de uma maneira leve, também fala sobre valorizar o tempo, sobre preconceitos (gordofobia/homofobia), as dificuldades dos relacionamentos LGBT+, mas também da esperança, família e amor em todos os sentidos.Was this review helpful to you?
10/10 Billkin & PP Deliver Again
10/10 Billkin & PP Deliver AgainThis movie is absolutely hilarious and surprisingly beautiful too. I was laughing from start to finish! Even though it's a comedy, it has emotional depth and doesn't feel shallow at all. I didn't watch the original version since I usually stick with Thai shows, so I can't really compare the two.
Let's talk about the characters:
Billkin as Menn - He plays a straight guy who works as an undercover cop, but he's terrible at it. Every mission turns into a disaster, and his boss is constantly yelling at him.
Basically, he's a walking bad-luck magnet. One day, while walking in the park, he sees a red envelope and thinks it's an angpao (a money envelope), so he picks it up. That moment completely changes his life.
PP as Titi - His character is clearly a hopeless romantic. He is an openly gay and used to have a boyfriend, but sadly, the guy was just using him-for a condo, gifts, and who knows what else. Titi dreamed of getting married one day, but that all ended after his accident. To make it worse, his ex was basically scamming him the whole time.
I won't go into too much detail about their story to avoid spoilers. Some people say it's a BL, but honestly, I didn't really feel any romantic connection between Menn and Titi.
It felt more like a deep friendship or even a family-like bond.
We never really find out if Menn still has any family, since he's shown living alone. But what I really love is how he finds comfort and a sense of belonging with Titi's family. His dad and grandma treat Menn like he's one of their own, and that warmth really stood out to me. Although, I don't feel any romantic connection between Menn and Titi, the movie kept me entertained the whole time, and I liked how it ended-it felt realistic. No reincarnation or magical twist.
Acting-wise, everyone delivered their roles well especially Billkin who can't just play a serious role but he's definitely a versatile actor. The production value is also solid, you can tell they really put effort into it. The color grading was great, as well as the OST.

eu confesso que não assisti o filme original de Taiwan..mas o que posso falar desse é que é uma gostosa comédia dos PPBilkin eu não sou muito fã de comédia pastelão mas achei que esse estava na medida certa...o personagem do Pp morre e do Bikin tem que ajudar ...acredito que até quem já assistiu o outro vale a pena dar chance para esse eu gosto da atuação dos dois..e tem vários momentos legalzinhos e memoraveis ...os coadjuvantes também são interessantes ..... ..... ..... ....... .......Was this review helpful to you?

Acho que esse filme não agradaria a maioria, tem um humor MUITO forte, e um pouco desnecessário as vezes KKKKKKKKKKKKKKK, mas oque seria da tailândia sem essas produções cheias de humor e piadas com pinto? nada. Sou suspeita a falar dessa obra pq admiro muito o Bilkkin e o Kritt, amo muito o jeito como eles atuam juntos, é algo muito natural. Sobre o filme, não vi o original pra saber se está fiel, mas fora isso achei muito legalzinho, confesso que eu ri muito.... por mais que as piadas sejam demais ou exageradas, eu achei muito legal, só o final que foi meio broxante pra mim, mas ok. Bir Kırmızı Zarf, Bir Hayalet ve Beklenmedik Bir Veda
Bu film tam “ben komedi izlemeye geldim, niye gözlerim doldu?” filmi olmuş 😭 Başta Menn’in yerdeki kırmızı zarfı para sanıp alması ve kendini ölmüş bir adamla evlenmek zorunda bulması zaten başlı başına kaos. Üstelik evlendiği hayalet Titi olunca ikisinin sürekli didişmesi filmi inanılmaz eğlenceli yapıyor. Ama hikâye ilerledikçe bunun sadece hayaletli bir komedi olmadığını anlıyoruz. Titi’nin ölümünün arkasındaki gerçeği araştırmaları, olayın Menn’in üzerinde çalıştığı uyuşturucu soruşturmasıyla birleşmesi filmi bir anda polisiye tarafa çekiyor. Bence en güzel tarafı Menn ile Titi’nin ilişkisi. Aralarında klasik anlamda bir BL romantizmi yok; Menn heteroseksüel ve film onların bağını daha çok arkadaşlık, aile ve birbirini değiştirme üzerinden kuruyor. Menn başlangıçta Titi’ye karşı önyargılı ve onu başından atılması gereken bir bela gibi görüyor ama zamanla gerçekten önemsemeye başlıyor. Titi de ilk bakışta aşırı enerjik ve komik görünse de geçmişini öğrendikçe altında ne kadar kırgınlık olduğunu görüyorsunuz. Özellikle eski sevgilisi tarafından kullanılmış olması ve evlenme hayalinin yarım kalması çok üzücüydü. Titi’nin ölümünün bir vur-kaç sonucu olduğunu ve ruhunun bu yüzden dünyada sıkışıp kaldığını öğrendikçe filmin tonu iyice değişiyor. Başlarda hayalet evliliğine gülerken sonlara doğru Titi’nin huzura kavuşmasını istemeye başlıyorsunuz. Menn’in de onu artık “başına bela olmuş hayalet” olarak değil gerçekten hayatının bir parçası olarak görmesi çok güzeldi. O yüzden ayrılık kısmı beklediğimden fazla dokundu bana. Billkin ve PP Krit’in kimyası da filmin en büyük artılarından biri. Romantik çift oynamamalarına rağmen birlikte oldukları her sahne çalışıyor; kavga ederken komikler, duygusal sahnelerde ise bir anda insanın kalbine oturuyorlar. Film LGBTQ+ meselelerini de sadece şaka malzemesi yapmayıp Titi’nin kimliği, evlenme isteği ve yaşadığı ayrımcılık üzerinden hikâyenin önemli bir parçası hâline getiriyor. Kısacası ben bu filmi sadece “gay bir hayaletle evlenen hetero adam” komedisi sanıp açardım, sonra Titi yüzünden duygusal çöküş yaşardım sjdjd. Hem absürt, hem polisiye, hem duygusal. Özellikle Menn’in film boyunca değişmesi ve Titi’yle kurduğu bağ filmi benim için taşıyan şey oldu. Sonunda Titi’nin huzura kavuşması güzel ama Menn’in hayatından çıkması da insanın içinde garip bir boşluk bırakıyor.
