Kuriyama Koji is an entertainment reporter for the magazine Weekly Kindai. He is good at his job and keeps landing scoops. These celebrities usually fall from grace due to the gossip articles and they are ridiculed by the public. Thanks to Koji's scoops, sales of Weekly Kindai continue to rise, but he looks at the way the public consumes these stories for entertainment with cynicism.
