Teach You a Lesson

참교육 ‧ Drama ‧ 2026
Both mainly focus on serving justice and setting things straight.

Taxi Driver has a wide array of victims but Teach You a Lesson focusses on school bullying etc.

Overall, found family between the main set of people.

Not much romance to speak of.

MC is badass.

Very Similar. Same Director. Deals with quite similar themes. Both are cathartic. Although this you a lesson is a bit lighter compared to juvenile justice. But nonetheless engrossing from start to finish

- both dramas are about fighting against the bad guys and serving justice through non-judiciary means (TYL is about school bullies, JFH is more into the society as a whole)
- both result in satisfying punishments (using physical force, violence)!!!
- both tackle many cases throughout the show rather than involving just one big case
- badass main characters!!!

Same universe , set in school but the only difference is like here hero is student but in TYL hero is officer alone.

Undercover High School’s storyline is not mainly based on seeking revenge or beating up bullies. However, it’s still something that Teach You a Lesson fans would find very enjoyable as the protagonist of the drama is a cop as well and puts bullies in their place even when that’s not a part of his mission. He exposes the school he’s undercover at and also its principal(the antagonist), indirectly seeking revenge for his father. Moreover, actress Jin Ki Joo is a part of this drama as well!

Teach You a Lesson and Weak Hero Class 1 are similar because both are gritty school dramas that tackle bullying and violence head?on.

Weak Hero Class 1 shows students fighting back against bullies using intelligence and strategy.

Teach You a Lesson flips the focus to teachers and authority figures who confront violent students with harsh discipline.

Both share a dark, psychological tone, highlight unconventional justice, and are adapted from webtoons known for their raw depiction of school violence.

Both use the system they’re in to exact revenge in the most ethical and unethical way.

Both MLs are crazy good at fighting.

Both MLs show emotions the same way.

A powerful but good man is backing them.

A quirky team of professionals (or "professional" enough)

The young female in the team can defend herself well.

Seriously. If you like either show give the other one a watch.

Teach You a Lesson and Weak Hero Class 2 share a similar DNA as dark, school-centered dramas that push beyond typical bullying stories:

? Escalation of School Violence
Both depict how violence intensifies when systems fail—Weak Hero Class 2 expands the scale of student conflicts, while Teach You a Lesson shows teachers confronting extreme cases head-on.

?? Morally Grey Justice
Weak Hero Class 2 continues Yeon Si-eun’s clever, unconventional fight against bullies, while Teach You a Lesson portrays Na Hwa-jin enforcing discipline through harsh, controversial methods.

? Psychological Thriller Tone
Each drama emphasizes the mental toll of survival and resistance, blending suspense with raw emotional stakes.

In short: Weak Hero Class 2 magnifies the student struggle, while Teach You a Lesson mirrors that intensity from the adult perspective—both exploring how far people will go to fight back against unchecked violence.

You will feel the satisfaction seeped thru your body when the Main Lead punched all those bullies, and made you pray and wish for the heroes like this, exist in our life with smart, upper-high backup.

Sakuragi Kenji is a destitute lawyer and one-time member of a motorcycle gang trying to guide failing high school students with an average score of 36 into Japan's most prestigious educational institution, Tokyo University (Toudai). For no other reason than Sakuragi's personal ambition, he has advertised his intention to produce 5 successful Toudai applicants from the students of a nearly bankrupt failure of school. In addition to revealing essential test-taking techniques for everyone who wants to know how to get into Toudai, "Dragon Zakura" will also teach the essentials of living one's life

Both **Boyhood** and **Teach You a Lesson** share a similar theme of bullying, personal growth, and standing up against injustice. In both dramas, the main characters begin as ordinary students who are often underestimated or mistreated by others. As the story progresses, they become stronger, gain confidence, and learn to face their challenges instead of running away from them. Friendship also plays an important role, as supportive companions help the protagonists overcome difficult situations. Both series combine school life with emotional moments, humor, and action, making the stories engaging and relatable. In addition, they highlight the importance of courage, self-respect, and perseverance when dealing with hardship. Although the plots, characters, and settings are different, the central message remains the same: people can grow through adversity and become stronger by believing in themselves. These similarities make both dramas inspiring and enjoyable for viewers who appreciate meaningful coming-of-age stories.

They both scratch that exact same itch of pure, unfiltered satisfaction. You know that infuriating feeling when the school system does nothing, the bullies think they are untouchable gods, and you just want someone to walk in and humble them? That is the entire DNA of both of these.

The main twist is the vibe shift:
- Brave Citizen is like a fun, high-energy superhero movie. The teacher is an underdog who has everything to lose, so she has to sneak around at night to do the right thing.
- Teach You a Lesson is much darker and sleeker. The main guy doesn't need a mask; he has the government's permission to walk into broken schools and actively dismantle gangs, corrupt parents, and toxic administrations like a one-man SWAT team.

If you want to watch arrogant bad guys get exactly what's coming to them by an absolute badass of an educator, both are super good, you won't regret it.

Literally almost the same vibes — the comedy, the cases, and the overall feel. Both have a quirky male lead who helps people, and both male leads lost their fiancée/wife, which is one of the reasons why they ended up helping others.
