The aesthetic and vibe of these two shows are quite similar, because they have the same directors. Both shows have really good representation of teenage relationships and have a great way of portraying how the characters feel. The acting is FAB.
Taken inspiration from the format of UK show Skins, both series employs the one character-centric episodic format in order to tell the lives of Thai teenagers as authentically as possible.
Both series are worked on by Boss Kuno. Boss Kuno specifically wrote the episodes for Koi + Dao, Boss, Sun in Hormones Season 3.

Both stories see adolescents navigating love, friendship and relationships. Dealing with (secret) crushes, being lead on and leading on. One of the main protagonists is a hopelessly in love high school student, whos interested in someone that (supposedly) loves someone else but engages in intimacy with the boy.
Unexpressed feelings, unrequited love, authentic awkwardness, youth

Judging by the trailer, Lost to Light seems to take a lot of inspiration from Gelboys (not that this is a bad thing. If you really enjoy that vibe, either series may appeal to you). The ost is very similar with these gamey, pixely, retro beats, the asthetics are similar, there are several scenes taking place on trains or big city squares, the two main leads meet accidentally and later encounter eachother again.
The main character is part of a music group (im Gelboys hes in a band, in Lost to Light hes part of an idol Group) and has spikey hair.
Both shows also feature idol culture/idols/idol music in general (in Gelboys e.g. the main characters are fans of different idols, attend concerts, collect merch etc..).
Looks like therell be multiple couples too.
