Underwhelming Season 2
Season 2 felt like a complete letdown after Season 1. The couples felt like throwaway pairings, with none truly in love except maybe one. It was like they just got tired of staying and wanted an out so they left with whomever picked them.I feel like the ageism was out of control this time as well, all the younger women literally could have cared less about the older guys and the younger guys cared less about the older women. I'm pretty sure a big point of the show is that you can love someone even if there is a decent age gap. It doesn't help that the commentators call them dirty old men and older motherly figures all the time.
Gitarin and Ayakan were treated terribly as well. *Possible Spoilers* Poor Gitarin listeining to the other women and getting the wrong ideas. Then as for Ayakan, as a guy, in my opinion Ayakan was the best girl on the show. She had faced some terrible bullying early in life and had mental issues because of it. It seemed like the show purposely highlighted every time she broke down and cried. In the later episodes you get to see how sweet and caring of a person she actually is. I think they tried to push her off as a mentally unstable crybaby all the time and purposely cut out some of her better interactions, which was completely wrong. She was definitely my pick of the women.
Overall it seems as if they tried to emulate season 1 and some of the personalities that were present on it but came up short with Season 2.
