STRUGGLING TO WATCH UNTIL THE END

YALLLLLL 😭 I have been contemplating how to write this review for the longest time because honestly… I THINK THIS SERIES, Me and Thee, HAS ZERO COMPLAINTS FROM ME. And if you know me from my previous reviews… YOU KNOW I LOVE TO COMPLAIN. Complaining is literally my love language. My hobby. My personality trait. So the fact that I’m sitting here struggling to find something to drag??? That’s already suspicious. 😏

Now let’s talk about something extremely important. THE VISUALS. Because y’all already know I LURVVVVEEEE PRETTY MEN and GOOD GOD this series was basically a visual assault on my sanity. Especially Pond Naravit. GIRL. Every time this man appeared on screen I was literally cursing at my laptop like “WHY ARE YOU THIS GOOD LOOKING???? WHO ALLOWED THIS????” 😭 His eyes??? SPARKLING. Like actual Disney prince sparkle. At first I was watching peacefully like “Okay… wait… hold on… why does Phuwin look so handsome here???” And I was already impressed.

BUT THEN POND SHOWED UP.

And I swear to God I stared at the screen for five full minutes like "HOW CAN A MAN BE THIS FUCKING GORGEOUS OH LORD HAVE MERCY ON MY SOUL 😩" This man literally looks like he walked straight out of a manhwa. Like somebody drew him with perfect lighting and said “Yeah this is unrealistic but let’s release him into the real world anyway.” SIR THIS FACE IS A PUBLIC DISTRACTION 😮‍💨 Anyway… before I start barking let me actually review the series.

This review will probably be shorter than my usual chaos because honestly there’s not much for me to complain about.

Which again…

IS RARE.

________________________________

a) Plot

PERFECT. 10/10. No notes. No complaints. No emotional damage. Just pure enjoyment. And listen, I already had expectations because PondPhuwin series usually deliver. But this one??

THIS ONE SET THE BAR.

The plot execution is smooth, funny, dramatic in the best way, and surprisingly detailed. I LOVE how the cinematography sometimes mirrors Thai soap operas because Mr. Thee grew up watching them to feel close to his mother, who is an actress. That detail alone made me sit up like OH??? THE DIRECTOR CAME PREPARED. And the writing??

Yes it’s cheesy.
Yes it’s dramatic.
Yes it’s a little cringe.

AND I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT. 😭 Because it makes sense for Mr. Thee’s character. This man literally learned Thai from soap operas so of course he’s dramatic as hell. Of course he talks like he’s starring in episode 843 of a melodrama. That’s the whole point. And I swear to God there was not a single episode where I didn’t laugh. Not once. I laughed so hard for four days straight that I’m pretty sure my lungs are filing a complaint. I might actually have asthma now. THIS SHOW CAUSED MEDICAL DAMAGE. 😭 If I have ONE tiny complaint though… It’s that the marriage and kids happened a bit too fast.

Like excuse me???

I blinked once and suddenly they were married with children like "BOY WAIT A MINUTE I MISSED THREE LIFE MILESTONES." Also can we talk about the insane level of detail in this show??? Even the smallest things were thought through. Like Mr. Thee’s bedroom door literally has his full name written on it: “Theerakit Kian Lee.”

And when I noticed that I was sitting there like "WHO ARE THESE PRODUCTION STAFF??? WHY ARE THEY SO DETAIL-ORIENTED??? ARE Y’ALL OKAY??? BECAUSE I LOVE YOU FOR THIS" But one thing I’m still curious about… Why did Mr. Thee suddenly decide he wanted to sleep with Aran in the beginning???

Like sir.

That decision came out of nowhere and I was like HELLO??? CONTEXT PLEASE??? 😭

________________________________

b) Characters

NO COMPLAINTS. NONE. ZIP. ZERO. I genuinely liked all the characters because their development was natural and subtle. Not forced. Mr. Thee is hilarious and cringe but in the most lovable way possible. One minute he’s embarrassing himself dramatically and the next minute he’s being unexpectedly sweet. Meanwhile Peach is the calm, understanding one who actually knows how to deal with Mr. Thee’s chaotic personality. And THANK GOD Peach is not the typical “i’M wEaK aNd i’M iN dEbT pLeAsE sAvE mE” character we always get whenever there’s a mafia boss involved.

Because I am SO TIRED of that trope. Let the man have dignity PLEASE 😮‍💨

Now let’s talk about supporting characters. MOK. MOKKKKKKK MY BOYYYYYY 😮‍💨 This man is the ultimate matchmaker but he does it so subtly. No drama. No obvious manipulation. Just quietly pushing two idiots closer together like “Yeah this should work.” I swear I wish I had a Mok in my life. Everyone deserves a Mok.

Honestly I can’t even explain every character dynamic properly because you really have to watch it yourself to understand how well they work together.

c) Steamy scenes

Listen… What did I expect from GMMTV? 😏 It’s mild spicy. But still enough to make my heart jump a little. Not “throw the laptop across the room” spicy. More like “okay wait hold on that was kinda hot.” 😳

________________________________

d) OST

LOVE ITTTT 😌

Some of these songs are definitely going into my Spotify playlist because they actually fit the vibe of the series perfectly.

e) Overall

Do I even need to say more? Just go watch it. Watch it and then come back and tell me I’m wrong. Because you’ll understand exactly what I meant. The last time I gave a series full marks was Peaceful Property. So that should already tell you something. PondPhuwin really did it again. I tried SO HARD to find loopholes in this show. I went into detective mode. I searched for problems like "WHERE IS THE FLAW??? WHERE IS THE ISSUE???"

But unfortunately…

I just ended up loving it. And y’all already know my rule: I never rewatch series unless they are extremely good.

But this one??? Oh baby. I WOULD REWATCH. 😏

Final rating: 10/10. DAYUMMMMM 🫦

PONDPHUWIN COMEBACK!!!!!

I watched the first two episodes and I can’t lie I am pleasantly surprised. I Absolutely love ponds Character thee, he is so funny yet holds this AURA about him which is obvious to him being part of the mafia and his dynamic with peach ie phuwin is so good, I love how he gives thee a reality check to the world. Mok I can’t forget to mention him as he is a prime character in thees existence. Overall the show is very comedic and I love the mix of themes in the show I just need all episodes now!!!

BRING BACK 12 EPS!!!!

I loved the main TheePeach storyline, but everything else was rushed, unfinished, and abrupt! And all of it is Gmmtv's new 10 EP format's fault.

I understand not showing much of RomeMok, since it has a separate novel, so probably licensing plays a role. And I also feel like gmmtv will make a Calm down Mr. Rome series in 2027. So wtv, don't mind it, keeping it short actually made their storyline better imo.

BUT, wtf happened with TawanAran and Touch? They might have not been even included atp! This honestly feels like a straight disrespect to the author and the characters, cuz they weren't treated as characters even, just used as tropes to move the plot forward.

The way touch was haphazardly shoved into it to make Thee's storyline somewhat sensible after they fucked up Thee's parents plot is just....

I don't mind a live action being different from the book, honestly prefer it even, cuz it allows us to see the characters in a new setting.

But the way they fucked up almost all of the side characters and subplots is just not acceptable, and all of this happened so they can shove 1.5 books into 10 eps not even 1 hour long each.

10 EPs just completely mess up the pacing of a story, if they want a 10 EP series, the script should be written that way. The way gmmtv makes it right now makes it feel like they write a script for 12 EPs and then keep cutting and moving things around to get 10EPs.

I'd much rather take a 12 EP cookie cutter series with a 11 ep curse that at least has a fleshed out plot and finishes the story well rather than wtv the hell they are doing with this 10 ep format.

Gmmtv should bring back 12 eps, because good stories with poor execution is not going to work for long.

An unapologetically excessive story

Let's all 'Mi Sati' here. The plot is so good. It makes sense in its own world and there’s nothing to say, it just works. And it is coherent until the end (the very last scene is extremely funny, best take of the whole show). Even though it’s a standard story, it feels unique. This is a powerful affirmation I’m making. Furthermore, I’m not from Thailand but I know that the soap operas Thee watches are popular in the country so the whole thing makes even more sense and it's even funnier.
The main relationship is a slow burn, one of my favourites and I believe is also well written. The first four episodes give the watcher the opportunity to get a full picture of the whole situation and characters' background. Consequentially, there is a strong connection between the viewers and the show. We all feel like entering another world (Thee’s or Peach’s pov), joining the characters’ journey. How this happens is different from other series, all due to Mr Thee, a character we have never seen before.
The timing and development are right. The first kiss (even though is not their best kiss, I think because of the location, not very stable so they couldn’t move much) is great, the setting fabulous. It’s not late, not early. Loved the second kiss as well, the location perfect. The whole scene is good: Peach thinks (the whole episode) about what to do and gives a definitive answer at the end: no waste of time with misunderstandings. This means the relationship is a mature one. We are sure, we are okay and it’s not the end of the series.
The characters are cool, well scripted and elaborated. As I previously said, Thee is the best for me here. I see his growth during the whole show and his love for Peach is so sincere. But, since I am a photographer myself, I especially love Phuwin’s character and the whole shooting/modelling environment. Moreover, Peach seems to be my perfect man: he’s balanced, kind, genuine, mature, confident but not pretentious; he plays an instrument, knows what he wants and I like how he’s dressed up. Mok is also a crucial character. His presence as a friend is reassuring and, at the same time, extremely funny. He is the person who helps Thee and Peach’s encounter (I mean adjusting to each other’s reality): they enter each other’s lives and come up with a harmonious mix truly loving and understanding one another. The balance between main and side couples seems quite right. The only thing I can say is that I would have liked to see more Mok and Rome story (2-3 more scenes) but it’s not a mistake, the screen time is ultimately correct. William is, indeed, a guest character while Perth is a support one.

The acting is not bad either. Pond does a marvellous job, as well as Est; Perth and Santa, William, Bonnie, JJ and Godji are amazing. Overall, the result is good but, sadly, I have to spend a few words about Phuwin’s solo performance. I’d like to preface that I’m a huge fan, okay? I really admire him as a person and actor. I’m sure he gave all he could. Still, in episode 6 there is a very unnatural cry scene (In episode 7 he cries again but his face is covered by his hand so the shoot feels more spontaneous) and some of his facial expressions just feel artificial.
Furthermore, some PondPhuwin’s takes feel forced, not kisses but other physical interactions. I saw them in ‘We Are’ and, frankly, in this show something seems off. Not always, but sometimes. In the previous show (We Are) they felt always natural and comfortable with each other, while here, again just few times, their interactions are somehow restrained and with the handbrake on. One of my favourite scenes of theirs is the sex scene that is, actually, a love scene. If you get what I’m saying you know that was good. The atmosphere is intimate and romantic. They talk and then, just looking at each other, communicate their mutual intention of a deeper physical contact. The scene is gentile, sweet, genuine, right in time and well-acted. I adore it (I think it’s gonna be my favourite of PondPhuwin’s bed shoots).
I don’t really enjoy Thee’s mom’s acting. I believe her performance is correct, considering her character. But still, while Thee seems to fit, she doesn’t. The character is too much, that feels almost out of place.

The music is enjoyable. The effects well emphasize Pond’s great acting performance and I haven’t seen editing or lightning errors. The cinematography is nice: I like the colours, the settings and the attention dedicated to the photography things, both equipment and shootings seem professional.
I don’t like Pond’s tattoo. Let me explain: the idea is great and cool but the result could have been better. The part on the chest is great, the other on the arm not really. In my opinion the two drawings aren’t well connected.

Thank you for reading,
kisses <3

Not my cup of tea but really good and fresh.

The series is ok, but I'm not a fan of that kind of series, it is a comedy, quite funny by the way, but romantic part is a bit funny too. I love Pond and Phuwin very much and I was watching this series because of them. I think that their acting was very good, they perfectly conveyed the personalities of the characters they played, the whole cast did great, by the way. This is that kind of the series where you simply can't expect a chemistry or any romantic ecstasies , couse the formula of this series doesn't allow that, it's a kind of satire where nothing is taken seriously.

Today I watched the last episode and the ending threw me to my knees... It was so good idea, it was so funny and unexpected... OMG!!! really good...

Overall it is really not my vibe, but I think the series is really worth watching, because it is fun and it is something fresh, that I've never seen before.

A great palette cleanser

The acting doesn't wow me but the cast did their job. I do like the cast but the acting range was nothing to write about. This is just a fun light-hearted drama if you need one. The chemistry between the leads is not that great but it's not terrible either. Visually, they look good though--as all GMMTV duo's are but their acting aren't top tier. I would recommend this, it's an easy going drama. I had some good giggles from time to time.

it's iconic, i know

I know the Khun Thee gimmick was so iconic, but for me, I don't think this is PondPhuwin's best work. There are so many plot holes and the character development is weak. This isn't PondPhuwin's first project together, but why do they look so stiff in a lot of their scenes? They don't seem comfortable with each other. Even when they're just leaning against each other, it feels so tense and forced. The same goes for their make-out scenes. The pacing also feels really slow—I had to watch it at 1.25x speed so the scenes wouldn't feel so empty.
I love them, I am Narawins myself. This is my non-biased opinion about the series.

Another drama of Pond Naravit and Phuwin Tangsakyuen of course here I come…

The story follows Thee, the heir to a former mafia family that has since transformed into a high-end luxury perfume and jewelry empire. Growing up surrounded by immense wealth, isolation and secrecy, Thee becomes wildly out of touch with reality—emotionally distant, socially awkward, and completely out of touch with everyday life.

His father sends him to Thailand to oversee the business there. Lonely and far from home, Thee spends his time watching his mother’s old soap operas (lakorns). Having grown up on dramatic romance tropes, he believes love should involve grand gestures, orchestral background music, and intense melodrama.

His world shifts when he meets Peach, a grounded and straightforward freelance photographer. Peach is hired as the photographer for the company's new perfume campaign, but he quickly finds himself in the role of a "love mentor."

Peach’s mission? To teach the overly dramatic and romance-deluded Thee how to act like a normal person: how to date without buying entire buildings on impulse, and how to communicate without behaving like he’s in a prime-time drama.

Thee’s original target is Aran, the model chosen as the face of the new perfume campaign. Peach agrees—half amused, half exasperated. However, as time passes, Thee’s interest gradually shifts—not toward Aran, but toward Peach.

With Peach, Thee slowly learns how to tone down his exaggerated behavior and experience a more genuine, grounded kind of love & life.

Now the question remains:
How will Thee’s family—especially his father—react to his relationship with Peach? Will they accept it, or stand firmly against it?

That's pretty much the story without giving the spoiler. Now what I like and don't.

What I like:
+ Seeing Pond act as Thee made me not know what to say… But surely I’m happy seeing him having different kinds of roles…
+ Always happy to see Pond & Phuwin on my screen, their chemistry never fails. And seeing William & Est, Perth & Santa is a bonus aside…

What I not like too much:
- There’re times when this drama makes me cringe so much with what Thee did… Haha…

Overall I’m quite happy to watch this drama…

Yes and no

Drama is funny, romantic and cliche. BUT, that was its point. I would recommend it to someone whos just getting into thai bl. For me, side couple was far more interesting than main. There isnt much drama as i wished it to be. Tbh at first they didnt had much chemistry. I woud rewatch it if i was bored. I liked the story but not how it was shaped. Storyline could have been used for harder bl. Not this soft. I wouldnt give this concept (mafia, violance etc..) to such soft bl. But i dont hate it, it was kinda funny

a perfect thai coded drama

Honestly, I needed this bl. Not because the script was super deep or meaningful but because this is the type of bl you like to watch after switching between 3 or 4 airing series. The whole script is really predictable so I didn't really have to concentrate on every word, every scene only on the vibe and the jokes because nobody can tell me that the script haven't being made to make us laugh. Every fiber of Pond's character was here to make myself laugh to death without taking away is attachment issues and his family problems. We can easily see each character's background without taking away the funny parts.
One other thing that I love was the play. especially Phuwin's. I've seen all his drama and I can easily say that this one is one of my favorites. Due to all the soap opera lines of Pond, I think he had to concentrate a lot more, him and Pond, to not laugh of lose the deep implicit message behind some dialogues.
Now my fav part: William and Est. I truly love this duo and craved their apparition together in the series. I find their alchemy sublime and their roles perfect for each other. Their dynamic, which was the opposite of Pond and Phuwin one, created some calming yet intense breaks that made me want more (thing that I got in Peach and me).
I also have to talk about the things that I disliked. First of all, some aspects of Pond's billionaire life. Yes, we know that your rich, that you can buy anything, but please, sometimes it was too much (like the island or the restaurant). Second of all, the wedding. In ep 9, Phuwin asks Pond to not make his proposal but in ep 10 Pond did exactly the opposition, and in too big (I'm talking about the live stream, the drones and all the rest, for almost not inviting his own parents to the ceremony.
In overall, I liked this drama and I recommend it to people wanting to watch thai coded boy's love to relax after braining to hard.
