Huang Yan, a female crematorium worker suffering from a terminal illness, accidentally mixes up two sets of ashes during her work. When she confesses the mistake, neither family is willing to exchange the ashes back. Only Yao Xue, the daughter of one of the deceased, believes Huang Yan. The two set out together on a wild and absurd journey to return the ashes to their rightful families.
