Started off spectacularly, but got tamer later, watch it for the leads #WeWantMoreOfPondPeterpan

I was so waiting for Pond and this drama and finally when it arrived, it just blew me...it started of as an absolutely ravishing, scintillating show, but the storytelling and script gradually got tamer ...Pond and Peterpan still slay, the less-than-great script notwithstanding .....while I feel this was a missed opportunity...I would still say watch it for the Pond-Peterpan magic!!...

BL-Needle Score: 8.5. High BL-ness

The script started off really great but then grew increasingly tamer with time, and in the last few episodes heavily depends on the Pond-Peterpan lovey-dovey, which is disappointing, to say the least, given how good both of them have been...the production values are really high though and the frames look really seductive....Pond is ravishing and Peterpan is plain dandy, and together they have us eating out of their hands....only if they could keep the script more polished and taut....imagine what a cast like this could have achieved!!

After 180 Degrees, I had high hopes for this to be the next best BL for Pond, but well..it disappointed...but Pond and Peterpan are outstanding....watch it for them.

What’s the better synonym for “Do Over”—"Rearrange"? Or "Reset"?

Why write a review for Reset and Rearrange, two 2025 series that each ended months ago? This essay comes along too late to serve those who watched as the series aired. Instead, I assume my readers in 2026 (or later) comprise folks who missed the original broadcast. Perhaps, Dear Reader, you came here to learn more about a series that someone recommended to you? If you’ve heard of only the one, the one whose review you’re presently reading…well, surprise! There’s another one just like it! Hopefully, my comparative review will help guide you to which “Re-do” series is more likely to match your own taste in BL consumption. Though, in all honesty, this reviewer was entertained by each, and if you press me—I’d advise to watch them both. Though, perhaps not at the same time. Too many timelines to keep track of all at once!

In 1998, two competing Hollywood studios sent to theaters two big budget films with the exact same premise: a meteor is about to crash into the Earth and wipe out humanity, unless brave astronauts on an emergency space mission can save the day. Somehow, Deep Impact and Armageddon managed to distinguish themselves from each other, likely because each film delivered audiences a unique experience. The identical premises became less “who did it better?” and more “well that was interesting in its own right.” Here in 2025, two competing Thai studios sent to streaming platforms two BL series with the exact same premise: a discontented middle-aged man gets into an accident and awakens to find himself returned to the body of his younger self. Will this be a chance for him to rewrite (reset? rearrange?) the details of his life, perhaps making this second chance more meaningful? Somehow, Reset and Rearrange also managed to distinguish themselves from each other. The two series have a different vibe, a different ethic, and each hero with a second chance at life has very different objectives when he contemplates how to maximize his big Do Over. Each series is interesting in its own right.

As noted, Reset and Rearrange share a premise. They each start with the death of a middle-aged man, but that character’s starting point is somewhat different. We meet Armin (Reset) as a successful actor, receiving accolades at mid-life for his professional achievements. Unfortunately, his personal life is messier; he feuds with professional colleagues; his former best friend wants nothing to do with him; and his longtime lover jilts him in favor of someone he trusted. His death is accidental, but his dying thoughts are to ponder how everything went wrong. Meanwhile, when we encounter middle-aged Win (Rearrange), he loses his job, struggles to pay his rent, is estranged from his only living family, and still mourns for an unrequited high school crush who died more than 25 years prior, in 1997. Feeling despondent about the disappointment his life turned out to be, Win, like Armin, ponders where everything went wrong. At that precise moment, Win takes his eyes off the road to retrieve his fallen cell phone from the floor. And then—well, Dear Reader, suffice to say that is not the smartest thing to do while driving. Reset was quite clear that present-day Armin died in his accident. Rearrange is more ambiguous. We hear the crunch of a collision, but then Win awakens in his own bed—well, his own bed from 1997, a time when he lived at home with his father and brother and was still in high school. Glancing at a mirror, Win is astonished to see the familiar youthful face that stares back at him. Almost at once his thoughts turn to his late, long-deceased friend, Nut. Can Win meet Nut again? Armin experiences a similar moment of temporal confusion, but he regains consciousness in the middle of a film set. The gig was—is?—his first job as a professional. He was a rookie actor then, but now he has years of professional experience to guide his performance. He can rewrite his own history by dazzling the movie set with his accumulated acting prowess. Well, he might do so following a momentary freak-out stemming from his unexpected temporal relocation. Quite understandable in the circumstances, but rather exasperating in a professional environment. These summaries essentially account for the premiere episode of each series. The remaining nine episodes of each depict the respective efforts of Win and Armin to alter the undesirable trajectory of his previous life.

Rearrange is by far the simpler of the two stories. Win is a high school student, and his two chief ambitions befit the worldview of a high schooler: to start a band with his crush, Nut; and to confess that crush to Nut before the latter dies from a brain tumor. Other characters in Win’s world include his father and brother; his bandmates and their parents; and a boss at his job who also died in 1997. Win attempts to save the boss from death, but Fate is unyielding. The time and circumstances did change, but the outcome remained the same. Win II concludes that nothing he does will alter prior outcomes in any meaningful way. Win I’s lifelong regret was that Nut’s unanticipated death deprived him of any opportunity to confess his feelings. This time, however, Win can anticipate Nut’s demise. So, he strives to alter the small details—with the goal of making sure that in the time Nut II has left Win can reveal the unspoken confession from decades earlier (or is it the same year? Time is confusing!) but also to help Nut II realize the dreams that Nut I fell short of (like winning the band contest or having a girlfriend or defying his strict dad). In both timelines, the band’s prospects anchor the whole story. Absent the time travel elements, Rearrange really comes across as a standard-issue coming-of-age story about high school kids learning to mature. The bandmates’ messy personal lives feature crushes, confessions, rejections, unspoken feelings, parental conflict aplenty, and band rehearsals. Lots of band rehearsals. Fortunately, the soundtrack is pretty satisfying—and sounds convincingly like music from the late 1990s. Because Win has a general knowledge of how events turn out, he is haunted by (and the series with it) a sense of wistfulness as he awaits the inevitable. Any time Win II asks his (living!) father for advice (a normal thing for any kid to do, but a privilege middle-aged Win is overjoyed to rediscover), the wisdom imparted carries greater weight. With his middle-aged consciousness, 1997 Win II is better able to appreciate advice from his father than 1997 Win I had been. The series repeatedly wrestles with the question, “if life is short, what is the best way to spend our time?” That is heady material for a “simple” high school drama, but it elevates the emotional impact of Rearrange.

By contrast, Reset features a much more convoluted storyline, one that occasionally lapses into melodramatic lakorn territory. Armin II wishes to flourish in his career without the years of struggle he endured in the original timeline, and he wants to rectify mistakes with friends and colleagues. Knowing exactly how, when, and why the relationship with his best friend soured, he makes sure to nurture that relationship this time. That subplot is fairly soft and easy. Armin’s worklife provides the drama. If Rearrange was almost a standard-issue high school series, Reset is almost a standard-issue “wannabe celebrity” series. The travails of the modern day celebrityhood complicate Armin’s life. Public relations fiascoes, professional jealousies, and the need to keep romance out of sight of the press are all “wannabe celebrity” tropes that pop up in Reset. In his professional life, Armin II keeps meeting the same people Armin I knew previously and keeps receiving the same professional opportunities he received previously, but in many cases these encounters arrive years earlier than expected. Due to the nature of his last day in 2025, Armin brings his embittered feelings from mid-life back to his younger self. In the early episodes a desire for revenge animates his actions. Of course, this approach is problematic because in the new timeline the people Armin resents have yet to sin against him. Meanwhile, Armin II finds himself increasingly attracted to the head of his agency, TD, who Armin I had never met in person. TD has an uncanny knack to anticipate when and how Armin will encounter difficulty. TD would like nothing more than to dedicate all his spare time to promoting Armin, but a tropey “rich family/greedy stepmom/jealous stepbrother” subplot consumes a lot of screen time. Both this subplot, and the grandeur of the film career Armin is achieving bring Reset closer to the spirit of Thai lakorn. Those soap opera level trappings help establish the vibe of Reset, just as the band rehearsals keep Rearrange grounded in a high school world.

The titles of each series fit the characters’ circumstances as well as provide double entendre with “Do Over” or “rewrite.” On a film set, if a director wants another take of a scene, the actors and crew will reset the stage, returning to their original position. The title “Reset” thus reflects Armin’s profession. In music, a performer might adapt an existing song to better suit his own needs, changing the arrangement of the material. The title “Rearrange” thus reflects Win’s passion for music. And, of course, both words convey the idea of a “Do Over” life.

In 1998, Armageddon was the louder, more bombastic, more action oriented film. Deep Impact came across as a work grounded in human emotion, its screen time dedicated to showing how the characters prepared for the possibility of death by lethal falling space rock. Where Armageddon almost assaulted the viewer with IMPENDING DANGER, Deep Impact was almost contemplative by comparison. A similar disparity in mood separates Reset and Rearrange. Borrowing soap opera-level trappings from Thai lakorn, such as trope-driven character and story arcs and over-the-top acting styles, Reset comes across as the more brash of the two 2025 series. It had a larger cast— featuring numerous well-known BL actors and many many more background extras in “big” scenes; its filming clearly had more money for its own sets; for movie-within-the TV show sets; for wardrobe; and for location shooting. Its finale featured not only an action-oriented set piece but the chief villain becomes almost comically evil before suffering an only-on-TV mental breakdown. The finale went full lakorn! Meanwhile, Rearrange had a palpably small-potatoes feel by contrast. Location shooting seldom ventured beyond the band’s rehearsal spaces or the member’s homes. Most exterior locations seemed to be parks, which presumably were cheaper spaces to rent than actual places of business. Background extras were either few in number or non-existent, even when a scene was set in an area you’d expect to find other humans, like a restaurant or campground. Wardrobe? High school uniforms and casual clothing sufficed for most episodes. Only a couple of concert scenes required a large cast of extras, and those were scaled to be “just enough to do the job” rather than all-out. Rearrange did what it could with the budget it had. Its biggest accomplishment may be the OST, which features a number of original songs. Rearrange may have been quieter and smaller, but I don’t think those qualities hurt it.

In closing, Reset and Rearrange manage to avoid feeling redundant or repetitive despite sharing a nearly identical premise and despite one series starting mere weeks after the other ended. Each approaches the conundrums of being “gifted a second chance at life” in a different manner. Do Win (Rearrange) and Armin (Reset) get a happy ending in their second turn at being human? You may as well watch. If you read this far, you know you’re tempted.

excellent chemistry (need a special episode and a spin off)

Overall: I was excited about the first episode. Then there were some nonsense character actions and plot that lost me a bit, but the finale reeled me back in. This is based on the book Reset by Crystaljade which I haven't read and I reviewed the series on its own merits. 10 episodes about an hour each. - world building error in episode 4, Armin mentioned hashtags would be popular but he didn't explain what they were yet Thada knew what they were even though they weren't yet invented
- Thada could have easily foreseen what would happen at that party and talked to Armin before
- stupid "plan" in episode 5
- *they waited too long (episode 6) to explain Thada's background
- security until there suddenly was zero security
- sound effects didn't make things funny

Could have been so much better

A series that started of great, that had everything to be outstanding, but still managed to disappoint me. The premise was so interesting, the first episode was perfect, but then as they developed the story throughout the episodes it kept getting worse and worse.
The only thing I liked about this series was the romance and the main leads’ acting. But what I disliked the most was the villains and the plot surrounding them, which was basically the rest of the plot. I thought the script was so so lazy, the villains so poorly written that their screentime was extremely hard to watch for me. Did they really have to make them so childish? so annoying? They were basically brats throwing tantrums again and again making the dumbest decisions they could make to just constantly bring themselves down.
Not just their actions, but the reasons behind them. Why the extreme grudge against Armin? How did Armin’s potential success threaten theirs? But even when they tried to give some sort of explanation (Thiwthit being "in love" with Thada for example) it was so poorly written, no background story or anything they just pulled it out their asses. For me it would have been better if it had just been a psychopath or a serial killer after Armin rather than this stupid jealousy in the entertainment industry, or if it had to be that, at least they could have made it a bit more complex and mature.
Then the revealing I was most excited to watch, which was how Thada had met Armin in the first place and fell in love with him, even that felt underwhelming to me. I would have even preferred a more abstract reason like destiny, or the red string trope, which is more generic but more effective than the lazy revealing of an Arming saving Thada with a bowl of noodles. But well this is my only complaint regarding the romance, their chemistry, Thada’s yearning and willingness to do whatever it takes to keep Armin happy and safe, Armin’s trauma due to Charlie and Sam’s betrayal.. everything else about the romance was good enough and pretty charming.
Some characters I did like are Janine, Wenai, Phat, aunt Jeed.. But unfortunately the villains’ plot stood out so much more for me that it was hard and annoying to watch most of the time.

If resetting your life can give you a boyfriend /lover like Thada, then LET ME RESET MY LIFE!

A story of an unfortunate guy, Armin, who rose to fame shrugging years and years. In his difficult times when no one was by his side, he had only one true silent/invisible supporter, Thada, who was with him through thick and thin. By resetting his life he get to redo his mistakes and meet his ultimate love of his life. But reset comes with cost, now the question is what will he has to pay in return?

Even though I liked 90% of the things, it still isn't without flaws. Here are some points to breakdown my opinion about this.

✔️Likes:

🔵 The actors, Pond and Peterpan, were phenomenal! Their chemistry was breathtaking. It's their first project together, but it felt like they've been working together for years. Their bond was electric. Their intimate scenes never felt awkward, it was spontaneous, as if you could feel that yearning the characters had for each other; naturally romantic!

🔵 I am very fond of lakorns. They're chaotic, fun and never boring, just like this show. From Armin's struggling era, Thada's loving and caring side to villains plotting against our MLs, everything was so in-tune that I could hardly blink my eyes. Each and every episode was full of thrills and romance to get me hooked.

🔵 Side characters, Weinai and Janine were my favorite characters. They were shinning even though they were not the main characters. Their comedic timing, stealing glances, got me giggling like a fool!

🔵 You know when you watch a story you don't want to waste any time on side characters ruining the spotlight for the MLs and, guess what, it didn't happen. The full-on concentration on the drama was given to the MLs who professionally gave their best. And last but not least, I want to praise Pond and Peterpan for their versatile acting, especially Pond. This man's acting is so real that one cannot help but immerse themselves in the plot.

❌Dislikes:

🔴 Thiwthit. OMG, this guy was an annoying AF! His overacting, throwing hands like a 5-year-old spoiled brat was hard to watch. I cringed. HARD! His presence and acting was very cartoonish. How can the audience be supposed to take him seriously?

🔴 Even though I enjoyed it very much, I still feel like it should have two more episodes to wrap up the whole thing, rather than solving the mystery so quickly. The ending didn't feel rushed, but the whole process could be a bit slower than usual.

From the beginning to the end, this drama was full of surprises. It had action, drama, romance. Overall, an engaging piece of work which will make you glued to your seat! OUUUFFF What a brilliant drama it was! 🔥

RESET - a perfect lakorn packaged as a BL series

In early 2025, I was going through a kind of drama slump where I didn't have the energy to start any QL series or finish ones I started. I found myself going through very old romcom lakorns of Channel 3, most of which were produced by Broadcast Thai TV (especially the Cupids Kammathep and Love Destiny series). As I binged my way through those series, I remember thinking where THIS energy of cheesy yet swoony, camp but also overly soap operatic vibes that is unique to the lakorn genre but backed up by convincing acting performances of the lead actors in BL series today. The last time I really felt this was Laws Of Attraction back in 2023 with Film and Jam.

I felt like RESET was an answer to what I've been waiting for. It has all the markings of a conventional lakorns (rebirth or time travel, possessive yet caring gentleman older ceo male lead, a step sibling business rivalry, a bunch of envious enemies plotting against the main characters) but it's also tight paced with a fun storyline. it's truly สนุก in every sense of the word.

The lighting is very artificial so immediately you know it's a lakorn but at times, there are very gorgeous scenes with superb cinematography (my personal favorite was the final scene of episode 1 where Armin dramatically falls into Thada in the rain. ABSOLUTELY CINEMATIC)

Of course, the series consists mostly of new and rookie actors so it's understandable that the younger actors have much room for improvement but they're pretty convincing in their respective characters so I don't think there's any jarring about their acting. In fact, I think they're doing pretty well in portraying characters that audience hate since the writing aims to achieve that.

But of course the highlight of the series is the undeniable chemistry between Peterpan and Pond in the roles of Thada and Armin, respectively. I love how Peterpan plays Thada with so much charm and enigma that you can feel the khun chai/suparburoot-ness or like the gentleman-ness of his character that you rarely see in today's cinema (especially in his speech and diction). I don't think it's common at all for ceo/sugar daddy type male lead to have that kind of classic gentleman old-timey vibes but I'm enjoying see it here in Peterpan's portrayal of Thada. Most importantly, THADA YEARNS. The kind of yearning that it's rare to find in BL series today but HE YEARNS and he does it sooooo well. Pond plays Armin who is such a lovable character that the yearning and adoration Thada has for Armin just makes sense completely.

This is my favorite QL work of the year solely because of how much lakorn-ness they're bringing to the table and I came into this wanting full romance, drama, angst, comedy and they're just delivering on all fronts. Of course, this is not a groundbreaking masterpiece in anyways but it's a work where I can feel the dedication of both leads to the story and the sizzling chemistry they have together which provides a really immersive experience.

If you're in need a palate cleanser from your usual go-to BL series or if you're looking to venture into lakorns, I think Reset is a good starter that provides the common tropes one would expect to find in a lakorn and the execution of these tropes are done in a tasteful way that's fun and exciting to watch for beginner lakorn watchers before delving into full fledge lakorns like To Sir With Love or The Miracle Of Teddy Bear.

Crappy scenario but great at everything else

It was fantastic, a really well done show. Everything was spectacular but if it wasn't for the weird scenario and some questionable behaviour from some characters I believe it would be a 10/10 show.
I have a lot that I hated and also liked about it so I have many mixed feelings after I've finished it.

Cast:
The two leads were magnificent, they really did justice to their roles, they were amazing and their chemistry is top notch, I love Peterpan since sunshine night, and Pond since 180 degrees.
Did I ever pictured the two together? Never, which is why this was a pleasant surprise. They really have great harmony.
Characters however, were slightly off, Armin is very self centered, after coming back he acts like a child talking about the future like a crazy guy not caring about how people will think of him and for someone who is chasing fame it's kinda silly, I didn't get his contradictory behaviour sometimes ( won't say much cause spoilers) but he kept taking every support from TD without even caring enough to know who is he and why why why he is doing all that!?
And Tada, I didn't understand at first why he did all that but after a while I kind accept the reason for everything he kept on doing but seriously, I couldn't understand one thing, how was he able to completely accept Armins shenanigans about his death and the future calmly, the first thing I'd think of would literally be " oh sh!t, I fell in love with a crazy man"

Story:
Here ... We really need to talk!!
Story by itself is great, nothing original and done a billion times before, still solid! And enjoyable if done well, everyone loves a great revenge story, right?
That didn't happen here, the way the scenario goes is just weird, First few episodes were all about Armin coming back and wondering why he keep meeting people he met in his first life .... Wow! I wonder why? Because it's your freaking life, bro!!! You are supposed to cross path with them, why do you think that because you repeating your life that it would be different? And if so why do you keep talking like "in the future this will happen, and that will happen" like an expert yet be so freaking surprised to meet your ex again!!!
Also, he was so stupid regarding Yada, how couldn't he put two and two together and get that he is TD.
It's not the proof is in the pudding moment, you just have to use 2 brain cells to get that.
There are a few other things that I also didn't like, like how the bad people are only threatening everyone without actually doing anything, maybe Ren did something about Thiwthit at the end, that's just messy writing.

Now I myself am confused, did I like this drama or not, I believe I did, it's just like, eating your favourite dessert after being in the fridge for a while, you know there is something wrong with the taste but still enjoying it 😂😂 weird comparison I know but you get my point.

Started with so much expectations but ended up skipping most of it

I’m a fan of time travel piece of cinema so I had so much interest in this series but it turned out to be quite disappointing. The first few episodes were good, pulling me into the plot but for a while the series seemed to forget it had a plot and focused on the leads love story a little too much, what made this move terrible was the fact that they had average chemistry at best, slow meaningless dialogues and they just looked so awkward together sometimes.

Also the concept of the “super fan” finally getting the artist just seems like a cooked up fantasy by a die hard fan.

I had to skip so much of this movie because of all the unnecessary plot fillers, which was hard to watch and an absolute snooze fest.

I would say I like the twist about the brother being the mastermind behind his death, it was surprising and part of the only redeeming quality of this series.

Apart from all these critics, i’ll say the actors tried their best and the music was good, so I’ll give credit there.

It’s quite terrible that the director/producer or whoever was the cause of this, wasted a good storyline and a good budget.

Armin, The worst time traveler of all time.

I initially thought this was an adaptation of a webtoon that I read a couple years back (Again by Seojin, the plot is pretty close to this one and it's really good). It turned out it wasn't but it still peaked my interest.

Here I sit binging and breezing through what is a very entertaining show and although it's good I have to write down some thoughts, some minor inconveniences that have been bothering me and why I'm not giving this show a 10/10.

1. The first episode problem, the older versions were really bad, they didn't look late forties, maybe fifties that the characters were supposed to be, so when Armin went back all the way to 1999 looking exactly the same as he did in 2025 I was seriously confused. Also aside from the lack of social media and smart phones everything looks pretty much the same, costume wise and sets it's all too modern, I wish more attention to details were present whilst filming this series.

2.The Armin problem, this man has got to be the dumbest most annoying time traveler of all time!! by god he won't shut up about the future, fights people about thing that haven't happened yet and when the time comes to say something he won't??!! make it make sense. This is usually played for laughs on time travel stories but eventually the time traveler knows to just shut it, consequences, butterfly effect and whatnot. Does Armin care or even think about consequences nope, he just keeps yapping and it gets old pretty quickly. I'm not going to get into it about the hair, but stylist please!! this actor has luscious hair, just stop messing with it!!!

3.The Tada problem, first of, why is this man's name a sound effect??, Is he a magic trick!?? I just can't help myself and every time he shows up or is mentioned in my head I go "Tadaaaaah" probably the reason why I'm having so much fun watching it to be honest, but it's unfair that such a beautiful man has to carry that ridiculous name 🤣. On a more serious note I don't trust him especially after Narin showed up, Is that boy even legal?? just Yuck!!! and even after explaining himself and knowing the reason why he loves (more like obsesses over) Armin there's something off about the character's actions,like he shows up out of nowhere everywhere Armin is like magic, puff, tadah!! ( I told you I can't help myself) he seems too creepy this might be because I'm not done watching and there's still something he's not saying 🤷‍♀️ I suspect he might also be a time traveler maybe although all signs point to no, he's just creepy and weird.

4. The Thiwthit problem, Oh My god Bom is sooo bad in this!!!, I adored him on In I will knock you, he fit that character perfectly, but in this show this villain is portrayed so badly every word he says, how he walks those exaggerated expressions, it's like he based the character on the worst cartoon villain he could think of, just bad all around throwing temper tantrums that even a two year old would be embarrased by. The only times I've tolerated him have been when he had that one conversation with Ren at the bar that scene was really good, maybe because of First, who is playing the villainous role so well that I wish he were cast as Thiwthit instead. And that other time when he approached Tada. Probably not entierly his fault, I mean the directot probably okayed this, maybe it was all they could get out him, I can't say for sure but his acting is a mayor hindrance on the quality of this series.


I'm rambling on too much, I'll stop here for now and come back when I have finished the series.

Welp!! I finished it and enjoyed a lot despite all my grievances it is a really good show and the ending was beautiful although the explanation about what happened to Armin in his previous life doesn't make any sense and they had plenty of time to come up with something better so, no excuses!!

I never stopped doubting Tada (Tadaaah!!), I wish maybe his character was better explained or have it happen sooner than it did. I never understood the deal with Narin because although a bit shady, Tada (Tadaaaaahh!!) doesn't seem like the type who would do such a thing, besides as hot and rich as he is he really doesn't need to either. I adored Armin thank God they stop messing with his hair!! (right after I wrote about it, it's like the universe heard me) the man never shut up about the future but he still grew on me.

By the end coming back to 2025 and everyone still looking the exact same, the only explanation I can find to this is that this is an alternate reality where people are just young and beautiful forever, maybe? 🤷‍♀️ I don't know, it's fantasy literally anything can happen.I had maybe a little too much fun watching and laughing so hard at thing that weren't supposed to be funny that I wish I could rate it higher really but, as I listed before there were some things lacking therefore I rated it a
6.0/10

I adjusted my rating as a kind friend pointed out that my rating wa to high in comparison to my notes. Which is true, I did and I still am due to how fun it was to watch. It is worth watching because it's so dumb it's fun, not because of quality.

It’s not so often that we see Thai BL dramas switching up couples so frequently. So, it was quite a surprise for me to see Pond Ponlawit Ketprapakorn with a new partner, while his partnership with Earth (Cooheart) in Fourever You hasn’t even wrapped up yet. I know that series is still pending, waiting for a second season—and of course, I know Pond has every right to take on other projects. I’m not protesting, don’t get me wrong—I’m happy for him. I just found it unexpected—since it’s not the norm in the Thai BL drama world.

Because I’m a little impatient, I decided to start reading the novel. Thank goodness someone uploaded the entire book on Wattpad. To my surprise, they changed some key elements from the book for the drama adaptation—and those changes actually alters the overall tone of the story

Let’s discuss drama…

The story follows Armin Thiwanon, a renowned actor who tragically dies on the night of his greatest triumph—just after winning a prestigious award and discovering his long-time partner’s betrayal.

Instead of death, Armin wakes up 26 years in the past, back when he was a struggling, unknown performer in his early 20s. Once again, he must walk the path to superstardom

That's pretty much the story without giving more spoilers. Now what I like and don't.

What I like:
+ Seeing the possibility for Thai actors to change ships in the middle of an unfinished drama series…

What I don’t like:
- Although everyone seems to like Pond & Peterpan chemistry, for me it is a NO go. They don’t sell it for me. I still prefer Pond & Earth in Fourever You.
- Everything must add a BL element… It’s too much forcing the vibe… In the book Janine is a woman & more importantly, she’s married with kids. So why the drama needed to change her gender into male, even added a little bit of a romance vibe with Veynai. I really don’t understand it…
- For me Peterpan can’t sell me Thada character. He’s good, but he’s not Thada.

Overall this is an ok drama for 2nd chance. Forgettable in my book. But still a fun watch. Much prefer the book than the drama

The different from the book:
* They take the mystery around Armin’s death more seriously. In the book is strictly just the beginning of the story. And this is the primary reason that changes the tone of the story. The book is just about how Armin took better chance in his 2nd life, not surrounding the mystery of his death.
* Phat & his mother, Armin’s friend who is never mentioned in the book. But they bring such a good vibe for Armin’s character. I’m happy the drama added these 2 characters.
* Thiwthit, Thada’s brother as such an important character. Thiwthit is never mentioned in the book. And I just don’t like that they added this character.
* In the book, Armin never really left Venus, instead, Thada just silently bought Venus behind the scene. Haha… And he’s more of a shadow figure behind Armin’s back instead so flown upright like in the drama.
* In the book, Thada is more mysterious. He’s the embodiment of a mysterious rich guy who controls everything behind the entertainment world. And when he announced his relationship with Armin that when the world was shaking… He really made a difference with Armin than any of his “fling”.
* The beginning of their relationship… It's just so weird in the drama. I don’t like it.
* The way they change the fact that Thada is also experienced back to past life. Yes the book mentions this for their special chapter, but for a totally different story. Not like in the drama.
