Kamei Madoka is the top student at Benisakura High School. He is cheerful and popular, leading his classmates to victory, and he has never lost a fight. However, after a certain incident, he decided to "never fight or date again," and although he was the only one to repeat the year, he continued to live a peaceful life with his classmates. One day, Sato Mitsuru, the top student at rival Shiraiwa High School, which had supposedly signed a ceasefire two years earlier, comes to visit Madoka, causing tension between the two schools. Mitsuru is quiet and at first glance it's hard to tell what he's thinking, but he ends up moving into the second floor of Kameya, a candy store run by Madoka's grandmother, and as they spend time together, Madoka is touched by Mitsuru's kindness and strength. More "punch" than love...
Thanks to two people translating it, I was able to watch this :) Domo arrigato! 🙇♂️I did not expect anything from it, but it feels a bit flat. My biggest critisim is, they lack some chemistry and there is not much focus on the love-part of the title. I don't mean the fluffy stuff but Mitsuru does not appear to really pursue Madoka. I can't fault the actors but the direction which did also bit focus sometimes too much on comedy for such a dark background maybe in the hope to balance it out, but it feels inappropiate at times.
On another positive side, Madoka is "out" and nobody cares :) I wish that would be true for Japan as a whole. But it makes this watch more enjoyable, because regardless he has the support of anyone, including his brother.
Fighting choreography was also not bad and we get an even an halfway decent kiss in the end which is an improvement to many JBLs. Overall quite nice to watch, with some good serious talking scenes, nice fighting but a run of the mill storyline and a lack of the "love" part.
MUST READ!! (REALLY REALISTIC❣️)
This movie was SOOO good! I seriously cannot explain in words. I was kicking my feet the whole time and screaming at 3 AM and even got scolded, but the risk was worth it.Their acting was on point. Both of them are very handsome as well. It’s actually so good that I personally rewatch it every day.The people hating don’t know anything about a good BL. They’re just watching it for the spicy scenes and not the plot NOR the acting!! I need to see more of them😩😭 Stardust do your job and put them in another project together. The only thing bothering me and annoying me so much is the fact that the movie wasn’t longer!!It actually felt like I was watching two lovers. They fit their roles so well. The acting felt natural and convincing and the chemistry between the leads was incredible!!If I could watch it for the first time again I definitely would. I recommend this a lot. I LOVE this movie.🥹💖
