It was a charming fairytale set in the modern day that also, unfortunately, left me feeling disenchanted many times.

Much as I adore FreenBecky, and I believe they gave their all in this project, I found their romance lacking.

Every location was beautiful, and it was fun to see just what new place they'd go to/how they'd make do in dire circumstances, but at the same time, so much time was spent on the run and with the traitors scheming that could have been better spent developing the FLs' relationship. They shone in the quiet moments spent learning more about each other. And when later action scenes/conflicts felt more dramatic than serious, and were easily predictable, with all sense of suspense sucked out, I found myself losing interest, much as I didn't want to admit it.

I'd almost suggest a drastic rewrite, spending half of the allotted time in Thailand and the rest in Madelin, making a large part of the plot about sneaking back into Madelin, with Lom in tow. This also would have allowed for more opportunities to develop this fictional country, introducing customs, culture, food, etc. And . . . Let Princess Blew shine in her element.

I guess I wanted more grandeur and grace, if you will.

a classic case of wasted potential

I wanted to love The Air. The premise had everything going for it: a princess on the run, a capable police officer assigned to protect her, political conspiracies, action, romance, and plenty of opportunities for emotional moments. Unfortunately, the execution never quite lives up to the potential. The biggest issue is the script. The story quickly falls into a cycle where Lom and Blew escape, the villains somehow find them almost immediately, and then they run somewhere else. This pattern repeats so often that instead of feeling tense and exciting it ends up feeling predictable. The villains are also a no-show. Despite being the mainm force behind the plot, they receive very little development or screen time. They appear just enough to chase the leads before disappearing again. What's frustrating is that the show isn't short on runtime. Episodes are more than an hour, yet somehow very little meaningful development happens. Character backstories remain underexplored and entire episodes can pass without important progression. there are still enjoyable moments throughout. But it ultimately feels like a story that never fully realizes its potential.

Defintely recommending to watch!

I don’t know about yall but I loved everything from that series. I read some reviews talking about plot holes but hey does Blew and Vayo have to be perfect too? They can also be a little stupid sometimes and do some things wrong—I personally don’t think it is considered a plot hole.

The love story was very beautiful between them—the angst here was also very needed and very real because it wouldn’t fit for her to stay as a princess.

I’d love to see Blew’s family—the king and prince at the wedding, but it felt more real that they weren’t here so I’m completely okay with that.

The plot for me was absolutely very amazing and it didn’t made me bored a single time. I also like slow burns better—so yes I’ll say that The Air is my favorite from 4 Elements series.

I’d like to take a moment to compliment on the character that Helena was. I think it was very well written and Becky pulled her off perfectly. Her story is really tragic and I feel bad for her but also she made a good decision in the end. Grace made her and Henri suffer so much, but she was also a very good written character. I didn’t had any idea at the start that it’d be her to betray the princess. I honestly also didn’t expect her to have such a reason for doing all that, I thought it was only for money and the power but I didn’t thiught much about that so maybe that’s why I didn’t really noticed.

Also I need to mention that FreenBecky are amazing actresses and they did such a good job with this series, I’m really hooked by their acting.

Their characters were very well written for me, the princess was so in love but didn’t realized that because all the life she had only been a royal person thinking about her duties and never knew what love is. That’s why she returned to Madelin first and only then resigned from the throne instead of chasing after Lom right them at the hospital when she had a chance and could told everyone to stay longer. Lom was also very good, a girl who was just joking and playing around but found a love that she thought was impossible. She never wanted to cross the line and was scared of doing anything but in the end she got her happy ending. I also really admire her story as a police officer, it was amazing to watch her in those scenes, she was so cool.

It was so nice to watch it every week for those 2 months, hurts to say goodbye to my LomBlew but I’ll see them a bit in The Fire too and I look forward to that!!

FreenBecky Forever — 8 Episodes Weren’t Enough! ❤️

10/10 without hesitation. FreenBecky once again proved why they’re my favorite GL pairing. Their chemistry, emotional acting, eye contact, and expressions were absolutely unmatched. They didn’t just play their characters—they made us feel every emotion. ❤️

My only disappointment? Just 8 episodes. This story deserved so much more. FreenBecky series should have at least 12–16 episodes to fully develop the plot, relationships, and emotional moments. Everything felt a little rushed because there simply wasn’t enough time.

Still, an unforgettable series. FreenBecky forever! 🩵🤍 Looking forward to seeing them together again in many more projects.

The Bodyguard and the Princess both suit the character sooo well

The Air: 4 Elements has honestly made me even more excited to see Freen and Becky together again. Every project they do somehow feels different, and that’s one of the reasons I admire them so much. They always bring something new to their characters while still having that same incredible chemistry that made so many people fall in love with them in the first place.

Even before it’s fully out, you can already tell how much effort has gone into this project. The visuals look stunning, the production quality is amazing, and every teaser makes me even more excited for what’s coming. It feels like a series that’s been made with so much care and attention to detail, and I can’t wait to experience the full story.

Freen and Becky continue to prove why they’re one of my favorite acting duos. Their chemistry is effortless, and they have this unique way of making every interaction feel genuine and emotional. Whether they’re making you laugh with a simple conversation or breaking your heart with an emotional scene, they always make you feel completely invested. That’s something not every pair of actors can do.

I also love how they keep challenging themselves with different roles instead of repeating the same characters. It shows how talented and dedicated they are as actresses. Every new project lets them grow, and it’s so exciting to watch their journey and see them become even better with every performance.

I truly believe The Air: 4 Elements has the potential to become another unforgettable series. With such a talented cast, beautiful production, and Freen and Becky’s amazing performances, I know it’s going to be something special. I’ll always support them because they put so much passion into everything they do, and they deserve all the success and love they receive. I can’t wait to watch this story unfold, and I already know it’s going to be another series I’ll treasure for a long time.

Uuuh this was a fun one

(sorry for any mistakes beforehand. I am writing this at 3am and won‘t have time to proof read immediately)

The good stuff:
- I didn‘t know anything about the plot before starting, so the way I perked up when the princess switch plan started. Immediately hooked.
- big props to all actors, they did great. Becky with her double role definitely stood out. 90% of the time I saw the characters as two separate people. But also ‚Grace‘, how Renée played her 👏👌. Definitely got scared at times.
- the action scenes were great. Nice tension, good fighting scenes.
- I loved the daughter father dynamic between General Wathit and Lom. hehe
- as always so far I really enjoyed when the other cousins plus their wives appear and interact with each other. As well as other recurring characters like Fah the journalist.
- that people got seriously hurt and/or died. Put the stakes quite high and the danger has to be taken seriously
- the villain monologue with her background story with that singing gave me chills.
- The bridal bouquet with the flowers. Mmh.

The meh stuff:
- For this one I thought „ye, this has the right amount of episodes“ until the last episode happened. Again a 1h 30min long one and the giving up her title and then the wedding happened a little to quickly. The struggle duty vs love was a little too short.
- Generally the part with Blew not knowing what (romantic) love is yet was introduced a little late for me.
- I would‘ve loved to see more of the main villains, especially during that two episode island „retreat“ in the middle of the series. The plot slowed down a little too much there. A simple radio or TV report on the whereabouts of the impostor princess and co. would‘ve been enough. Just so we always remember what‘s at stake and try to figure out what the villains next step could be. The actively executing bad guys were a good threat but I would‘ve loved to see a little more movement from the master(s) of the plan. Especially once the original plan didn‘t work out.
- That the father didn‘t even show up for the second wedding. Nor the brother (at least he is in contact with Blew) There I was a little sad on behalf of Blew. Maybe we get a reunion in an overarching special episode. I hope so. Would be sad if we left it like this.
- I thought the fact that Lom is a serial flirter (dater?) would be a bit more relevant throughout. I mean it was but then again not. She was smitten with Blew from the get go which struck me as odd compared to the Lom we know from Earth & Air. And in the last episode I got a little confused. So, is Lom just a flirtatious person but that‘s it…? No flings? No situationships? No serial unserious dating? How convenient. That would‘ve thrown the plot overboard otherwise.
- something about the bouquet going to Fai…

…I think I had more to say but my brain is fried now. I can‘t think anymore. I will go to sleep (at some point rewatch the series) and then edit this review again.
